I am actually in a process of going through paperwork and such for emigration. Not from US though. The whole process is awfully complicated. Our timing being forced by political events doesn't help either, and so do not many Covid restrictions that are still in place. Plus me having to find a new job (current one is tied to location), plus getting two kittens ready for travel... list goes on and on and on. But putting one foot in front of the other seem to work slowly but surely. Still considering multiple countries - a few in Europe, then both me and my partner in crime are fascinated with maybe traveling through South Asia for a few years. And then there's Canada, which seems like a good place to settle down, outmatched only by Scandinavian countries and the like.

Griefers aren't good enough reason to not to - if these kinds want to put your avatar in a compromised position, they can even without convinient couple pose being available.

Always on. Some additional shinies that look pretty, but eat up my PC resources - situational. 50% of time I go around with shadows turned off, and tell my viewer to stop rendering Linden water unless I am near it. For pictures though all belts are off and setting could go sky high.

It's a cute head, awesome for a freebie. Even though I feel like I've been terribly spoiled by mesh head giveaways in recent years. It reacts to sliders very well and mesh by itself is neutral enough, so you could turn it into whatever you want with a right skin and makeup. Tested it with several EvoX skins, tried to go Genus but my BOM collection for it is quite small. Had to adjust shape for each UV, or my avi would end up with silly eyebrows and stretched eyelids, but it fits. BOM lashes - I am in love. I want this to be a thing with every head on the market now. Just the ability to layer several styles of eyelashes for desired design is delightful, and then there are other positives BOM always brings along. Texture on the lips is not my to my liking, neither are dips next to lip corners. Turning materials off didn't help it one bit. Had to be careful with my shape too, or eyelids would clip every time my avatar blinks. And now I have to check if any of my long forgotten alts doesn't have a mesh head yet.

My first suspicion would be materials or any texture applied (applier specifically, not BOM) to the tattoo layer. Try to play with those in your HUD and see if it helps.

Tweenster so far has more clothes and other customization options created for it. If changing looks is something you find fun, you will have easier time with it. I think Genus still has a free head on offer. And grabbing a few demos from this and other stores to see how they fit and how you like them is the way to go. Skin and shape do more for creating specific age look than the actual mesh - can easily make the same head look as 10 years old or 20-something just with a skin change and adjusting proportions a little. Another thing on skins - BOM neckblend tattoo does wonders when it comes to matching head and body skins from different brands. Some skin stores include them, then there's some free and almost free on marketplace. So look for head-brand specific skins and see if you find something you like, then try matching demo with one of the body skins. Trying to dress my teen girl alt is a struggle, compared to an adult avatar. If I'd try to dress a teen boy, I'd probably end up in tears. 😥 Boys deserve better clothes. She has Tweenster body and I think Lelutka head. Or Logo head, one of the two. Used both, Lelutka has more skin options.

Probably not. I cannot speak for others, but for me it is more of a "have to keep trying" rather than hope. Latter is a luxury most minorities cannot afford. There's a value in community, in having discussion, in having a welcoming place for both. Such places are not created by inaction.

While I am not among your friends, unsafe is exactly the way some reactions in this thread made me feel. Which is deeply upsetting, since in real life I live in an area where LGBTQ+ community is heavily discriminated against and SL is one of the very few outlets I have for simply existing without fear. This aside, one of the reasons for creating sub-forum hasn't been brought up enough, I think. When a place for a minority or any niche thing exists it encourages conversation, helps people find each other and serves as a directory for useful stuff. Sure, rules don't forbid me or any other to go into General or any other section of the forum and ask, I don't know, let's say a question about LGBTQ+ specific emotional support groups. But assuming most people on forums are straight and cis - why would I? It's awkward, for majority this topic will be of no interest at best and invite provocations and trolling at worst. And even if I would be lucky enough to catch attention of another queer folk and to get an answer - the topic will get buried under unrelated threads soon after. So next person interested in same question would have to try to tame key words in search or jump through anxiety loops, trying to decide if it is even worth to ask again.

Looking at it, performance and reliability improvements (well, promises of) excite me more than possibility of new avatar customization shines. Avatars are great already. Honestly, way too complex - helping a friend to figure them out for the first time, and it's "a bit much".

Why does this sound like an MLM requirement post? 🤔

Just as an aside - family RPers generally prefer M rated regions. General rating limits role play - mom and dad can't really have an argument or go on a steamy date, visiting cousin isn't irritating grandma dropping f-bombs, swear jar does not exist and grumpy neighbor isn't spooking teens with his gun while yelling "get out of muh lauuuwwwnn!" Other than that I genuinely agree with most of your points.

I will have to get inworld to check my GTFO vehicles scripts. As a quick workaround you can grab a free messenger bag / backpack from GTFO HQ. It will allow you to make small deliveries on any vehicle or even on foot.

Make a notecard titled "things to try" or something obvious like that. Next time you come across anything that looks interesting but not right now - write it down. Once in a while come back to your list and try a random thing from it.

Why? Current one pays you less than a dollar per hour. This might be the reason why you got all those responsibilities put on you by your employer. They seem to understand that they can abuse your strong sense of work ethics and lack of boundaries. Your coworkers seem to have more realistic outlook on this "employment". I hope that doesn't sound like I am trying to be rude to you. It irks me when people are exploited in this way. But if you won't set and maintain strong boundaries the situation might repeat itself with your next job.

I am struggling to see how it would be different from Belli (since it is connected to Mainland), aside from not having mandatory house on the parcel.

I save sets of HUDs I need for different situations (navigation HUDs, dress up HUDs, so on), as outfits. And make sure there are only HUDs in them. This way I can add or remove them as a set.
