  1. I'm so glad to see I'm not the only person who's been having issues with this as of late. @Samara SharkfinJust out of curiosity - was sending a ticket the only way this was resolved? If so, I'll have to go do that tonight. Either way, thank you so much for this workaround. I've been neglecting work on listings because I've been too annoyed by this little bug to do anything with them.
  2. To be fair to everyone who's posted since I went to bed, while the better half and I have shopped around on parts, there's still a lot that has yet to be learned as far as SL goes on my behalf and I didn't know about a lot of this. @Marianne LittleI'm pretty sure that if I sent a notecard and asked, the shape would be updated for 2.5, especially if the store was only established last year. There's a huge reason why I keep reminding my better half that trying demos first is important and this has been a reminder as to why I adore having the demos first, lmao, because of issues like this one. It's not a bad thing to go through this after I awaken and have had sleep because it's a learning experience, but at that point in time, I was sincerely frustrated by things. @Chic AeonI will admit I've encountered that editing pane once or twice but I've never sat to faff around with it nor do I know how to get to it very easily except by sheer accident. But knowing that shape tweaking is a thing that can be of benefit is also highly useful. I'll have to sit and play with it at some point down the line - once I figure out the best way to get to it is. @Laurel AureliaTbh, I'm kind of in that same boat of feeling that if shapes offer no modification or no demo, especially no demo, it should be updated to come with one. Demos are glorious things and I swear by them constantly and have to work on restraining the husband from just outright buying things to go with a demo instead. We've had a few mistrials in the process of getting used to SL and I can definitely say that demos save lives. But all of this aside, I looked in my folder for the Skyler head a few times and never spotted the old head in it. I don't know if this means the unpacker is updated to 2.5 or if it automatically updated when I used the updater. Either way, I see no problem in having a few different head and body shapes. This has all been very helpful information!
  3. See, the odd thing about this is is that the store was apparently established in 2020. Did the 2.5 update come out last year? If so, I could see if I could do so, though they don't have an in-world store, alas. I also looked and I do have Skyler 2.5, so that means I'm going to need to find a different head. Feck. Thank you for this information, though! This helps a LOT.
  4. I used the Skyler updating tool in the folder that came along with the head when I bought it earlier and it said it's up to date. Is there any way I can double check it to see if it's the 2.5 head? Because if it says it's up to date, then my assumption would be that it's 2.5? If not, then I'll have to find some way to fix that!
  5. Well, I've honestly never even known that there's sliders for making shapes. I've been using premade ones as has the hubby since we started on SL, so there's probably a lot we don't know about. If you think that playing with these sliders might help, I'd love to learn about them. But otherwise, I'll just have to chalk this up to a loss of money and see about finding another, better shape. All I'd like is to get one that has Skyler and Gianni going together and being friends which I'd hoped this one would be, but alas. Still, this is all useful information!
  6. The shape I bought was specifically designed for the Skyler Lelutka head with the Gianni body and came complete with a style card for how to make myself look like the avatar model from the sale item. I've been around long enough to know how to do a shape/head combo hunt, which is why it's very, very strange for me to find that this shape is deforming so badly. I've gone through and put in things such as the face base and brows, taken them off, applied the BOM, taken the BOM off, watched my husband do what he could for my body and so on and so forth. So the fact that neither he nor I could figure out why it's deforming is very, very confusing. And the fact that it's deforming in such a specific fashion is very, very unusual. The spouse and I have both played with Lelutka heads - especially since he uses one himself with his Maitreya body - so we know, more or less, how to make them work so for us to not have a clue of how to make this one look proper is very strange for both of us. Also, body numbers? I have no idea what those are. I guess I'll be learning a new thing!
  7. So, I'm rambling around to here because I need some help. I'm using a Gianni body with a Lelutka Skyler head and I bought myself a body/shape combo to go with it. Now, normally, that's not a very difficult thing to put together my headaches with getting a Lelutka head set up aside because I've been doing this a while and my spouse has gone through the pain of putting together a body for himself more than once with different shapes and skins, so we're pretty experienced in that. However, that's not the case here. When I put on this new shape, my face deforms. I've gone through my worn tab, my appearance tab, checking and rechecking to make sure I'm not wearing the wrong alpha masks or anything else and my spouse got onto my account to give it a try since he's good at it. And the body? The body works fine. It's only the head that's deforming as can be seen here: 1 2 3 It doesn't matter if I'm using the Skyler head or not or changing the body shape I wear because the head deformation stays the same. The first two links are from the new head shape I want to use and the third link is with the Skyler head shape. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Oh that's actually good to know. I had read everything that I thought would work for this idea of mine, but I'll have to hunt around and see if the manuals are up because I had thought I had done that. But I'll poke around both systems; I have a favoritism for the Peanut collaring system, I admit, because it's the system that works with my spouse and it was a system that I picked up on very quickly so I'll comb through the website and see what comes up. I appreciate all of the advice and knowing that there's steps I'm missing. I was just wondering if there was like - a script kit or something that I needed as well because I have been looking for a download of the Peanut scripts and I can't seem to put my hands on them anywhere and the one link that looks like it should be working through their website is, unfortunately, leading back to the overview of the marketplace. So if there's some alternative that I can go through, knowing that would be of major benefit. I didn't think this would be anything difficult but I didn't know there was naming conventions that were involved so that's a helpful thing already! Thank you all the same, though.
  9. I honestly don't know if I am using the 'correct' set of scripts. I have done some reading around and saw that the group's split apart so I'm not sure which one would work better. Looking at the website, however, this is a script set I have downloaded. I have unzipped it but I'm trying to figure out where the scripts are at. I know enough to recognize potential scripts but not enough to be sure if I'm doing this right and I don't want to 'break' anything, so to speak. But I will consider the group and asking for aid if I can. I admit, I thought it was as simple as "here, take these scripts and plunk 'em into the content folder of the item" and I'm fairly sure I was on the root prim but I might not have been. Either way, I'll check out the forked scripts that you mentioned as well and see if those work for me. I have looked at both forks of the scripts and while I admit that I don't see much difference in them, I'm always happy to listen to advice. Would the permissions on the collar make any difference? I thought I read somewhere that I could just weld in the OC scripts into an item. Edit: I looked to see if there was a developer kit for the scripts for the Peanut No 9 collar and while there's a link on the website, it doesn't seem to be around anymore. I'd like to play with it but alas, it's gone. Is there an alternative mirrored site where I could possibly find these scripts to try?
  10. Hello again to the forums! I'm hoping I can get some help here; primarily, I'm looking to add in OpenCollar scripts into an item I own. I recently purchased a choke-chain collar that I am very, very fond of and I was hoping to add in the OpenCollar scripts into it to turn it into a proper collar with controls and all. Listen, I have roleplay needs-- I have done some looking around and reading on how to possibly add in the scripts that I want to work with this collar but I may not be doing something right. I'll have this collar rezzed, either worn or on the ground, I'll drag the scripts to it, drop them in on the content tab, check to make sure they're there, and then click the collar in an attempt to get the updater script to work and integrate into the collar. However, every time I attempt to add in the scripts, they don't seem to work. Insofar as I know, I should be able to just drag and drop the script controls into the collar and then update those scripts and I have tried the OpenCollar seeder script but nothing seems to happen; I have tried clearing the scripts and readding them more than once and I am doing this on a copy of the original item which I don't think would affect it in any way; all I want to do is rig this item to work as a collar. Any advice on how to get this working would be vastly appreciated, thank you.
  11. I was afraid of that, so, so much. Why they can't make it so we could just upload an image key with a batch of gacha items from the same one... Ah well. Thank you!
  12. Allow me to apologize first off if this isn't where I should be posting this; I looked through the forums and thought this would perhaps be the best place to ask this question I have. Namely, primarily -- it's just this one question: Is there any way to add an image to a batch of items I'm putting up for sale? I'm a gacha reseller and the biggest pain I deal with is having to put an image on each and every listing in preparation individually. If there's a way for me to add an image to a batch of listings that all come from the same gacha, that would save me so much of a headache. I haven't figured out how to do this, not yet, if there is a way to do so. If there isn't? Well, I suppose that I'll just grind my teeth and deal with it. I'm sincerely hoping there is a way to do this, though! Any help is, as ever, greatly appreciated.
  13. I admit that right now I'm considering my own options and what I know of myself and my skillset in regards to beginning somewhere simple and building up my skillset, but I was thinking of the possible long-term for this process. I do know I want to start with jewelry and see what I can manage in that area, since I figure that jewelry would be a nice way to begin learning what Blender's capable of. Still, this is certainly useful to know since I'm not going to consider clothing just yet. I'm ambitious but I also know that I'm the kind of person who would, somehow, break the program if I tried too much. Ahaha.
  14. Hello all, my first time posting in these forums and I'm hoping I can get some advice. Mostly ... should I get AvaStar with Blender? I grabbed Blender because, hi, I'm an ambitious soul who has an idea for designing an in-game Christmas gift for his husband and I've been doing some reading and research. I don't know if I'm going to ever try designing avatars and I found out that AvaStar is designed around that, though I may attempt that and animations down the line as I learn, but I have seen people saying that AvaStar is worth getting because it helps you avoid 'gotcha' moments with Blender. Mostly, right now, I'm interested in possibly designing clothing and jewelry items and was wondering if AvaStar would be good to get in conjunction with Blender if they both work together, more or less. I know I plan to start small, probably with jewelry designs, but I am wondering f AvaStar would be worth the investment or if I should just stick with Blender. Or if, instead, there's a different program I should look into getting with Blender? Any advice on this front is very appreciated. Thank you. ♥ And speaking of that Christmas gift idea, can anyone tell me if it's a viable idea to design what I have in mind for him and give him a personalized version of it and somehow upload it in SL for his use only?
  15. Alright, thank you! I'll give that a try and if it doesn't work... Well, I learn from things, at least.
  16. Hello again, y'all. I wouldn't be writing but I'm in need of some help. I bought an item from the Lover's Playground store, in world, instead of through the web-based marketplace browsing and this item has been giving me and my better half fits today because we're trying to fix it up to how we like it ( it's the rustic holiday loft cabin, for the record. ) and help knock our prims down ( since it's 300+ over what it's advertised as ) so we can decorate our rental plot as we like. Thing is, I can't find the rezzer in my inventory and I am thinking that I maaaaaaay have deleted it by mistake ( for I have the brain of a goldfish ) and because I can't find it and I can't find a redelivery button through the MP, I was wondering -- is there any other way anyone knows of of how I could get myself a redelivery of this item I paid for without having to shill out for another copy of it? I mean, I will if I have to, but if anyone knows where I can find a way to get this redelivered, you'll be a hero in my book. Any and all help here is very, VERY much appreciated.
  17. I appreciate all the answers! We had a private home picked out but none of the scripted furniture worked there. But I found us a rental house and, after a couple roadblocks, I managed to get it put up and it worked pretty much right away, so I have no idea of why it wouldn't work at our private residence. Either way, thank you all! Especially you, Cindy! And Rolig! This is good to know for future reference!
  18. Hiya! I'm a newcomer to SL so please forgive me if this isn't posted in the right spot but onwards to the question at hand. My beau and I are working on getting a house set up together and we decided to buy some scripted furniture for the more adult side of life and all that. We demoed all of the items in question at the store repeatedly before we decided to purchase them, but now that we're at home and I'm proceeding on decorating, these items are... not working. I've tried removing the items in question, both by taking and deleting them, and putting a fresh item down, going through the edit menu to find where to refresh the scripts and I've done that a few times, and tried to plop the item down in another region to see if it'll work there only to be blocked by 'item cannot be rezzed here' as well. I've been trying to find a sandbox to try them out in but, again, newcomer and I don't tend to know where to look for those. However, I figured that we should be able to just pop out the furniture and enjoy ourselves, but that isn't happening. I don't think the rating of the lands we're on would have anything to do with it, but it could? I am still learning the ropes here so any advice on what to do in the future is grand. I also don't think the scripts would be broken, given that I've tried very hard to puzzle this out on my own for a few hours to the point of getting a frustration headache but any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
