I have resolved this issue ... I switched myself from owner to member and then left and I got a notice that said it would deactivate in 48 hours. Thank you!

No there is nothing listed in the group, i had one other join and then i had him leave so i could have the group closed

I created a group but I did not like the name I chose so I've been attempting to close it and I have been the only member/owner for more than 48 hours and it is still not gone. Is there something else I need to do?

I've been having the exact same problem. I submitted a ticket though, how long does it usually take for them to respond? Although I guess it's slower because of the holidays.
