  1. Without a doubt Photoshop is the most popular out there, but there's also a very good alternative software called Krita. There are unnoticeable differences between these two, and I highly recommend using it instead of GIMP.

    Want a free mesh?

Greetings everyone, I am in the process of creating a 3d portfolio and currently, it's lacking in 3d game models, so I will take up to 5 custom mesh requests from you. Just two things... Please don't request avatar or clothing related stuff (hard/non bending accessories and everything else not related to avatars are fine) and be aware that I don't have unlimited free time so complicated meshes are out. Reply here for sorting purposes (dealing with both IMs and forum would make a big mess :v).
  3. This series is every blender user's bible. You don't need to watch all of the videos though, some of the features included here are not going to work in SL (for example, you use image textures instead of shaders).
  4. Those are two objects (rim and tire are separate)
  5. Receiving the exact same result as above. That didn't help at all

  7. Oh, and this is how it's supposed to look like: https://prnt.sc/uk7mvc
  8. So I've just created my mesh and wanted to check the preview in "Upload model" tab. Unfortunately, my tire mesh gets distorted in lower LOD like this https://prnt.sc/uk7foi I've tried to mess with the settings or making changes to the meshes but without any success. Has anybody met with this issue before?
  9. Thank you for the introduction. Unfortunately my car project has way too many vertices (over 400k in total) and it would take me too long to optimize it for SL standards (and my L$ budget 😛). Instead, I will start with something smaller (like car accessories or rims) and build up my experience first. I will definitely use Aditi. Especially that I need to understand how the things work.
  10. Greetings everyone, I've recently found out about SL and saw an opportunity to share my 3D projects (and maybe get some revenue out of my work 😛) I am creating Ford Mustang (2015) with customizable body parts and interior. My question is: Do I need to individually export every car part as .dae/.obj or can I just export my project as a whole and then separate my objects in SL viewer? I also wanna ask if there are some groups/discord servers where I can directly contact with one issue without just spamming new threads on forums? PS. Here's a render of the car I was mentioning: http://imgur.com/gallery/LsubX5v I will send the project screenshot when I'll get home. Any kind of help is appreciated 🙂
