  1. The Linden Homes are supposed to be residential in theme and usage. I understand creativity, but most residents use their home as a residential place to decorate as a home. Its no different than a real life HOA that keeps neighborhoods from turning into a free for all. While the bowling alley is well done, its not a residential home any longer, its a commercial build. It may not be making L but it is also not a residential home at this point. If one is allowed, then you have to allow everyone that has an idea for a non-residential build, then Belli is mainland, end of story. One big reason for my alts to be premium at this point is because Belli isn't the mainland and it continues to be a residential place with guidelines that prevent chaos from taking over. Not everyone is skilled at building and one persons creativity may not be something the rest of the residents want next door. It's not to hurt anyones feelings, its to keep things fair and consistent.
  2. But isn't that exactly what the anti gacha crowd is doing here? Isn't that the reason behind many of these posts is that they want their SPECIFIC item and they want it now? They're upset that they don't get exactly what they want when they want it, so no more gachas because its gambling lol. They might not leave SL but had the evil machines removed.
  3. But then can't the same be said for those that play the gachas? Exploiting is a pretty strong statement, maybe its time for those people to step away from SL if they let gacha get them in trouble? It takes a bank account and the ability to buy Lindens to play a gacha, isn't everyone here supposed to be an adult? The creators put hours and money into making their items, they're the ones with the most to lose here. There should at least be a discussion first?
  4. Agree, and how are the breedables not a gamble as well again? Aren't we paying for something and not knowing exactly what we are getting, luck of the draw? Is it the physical gacha machine itself?
  5. I think for some some creators, this is alot of their income. It's not trying to be clever, fool anyone or manipulate, its trying to find a solution to an obstacle. If its the pay to play gambling issue at a physical gacha machine is the problem and there could be a way around it, don't we owe it to those long time creators to listen to possible resolutions?
  6. So what if an event was set up with nothing but gacha machines that you got to play a specified amount of times, say 10. It was free, but there was a cost to go into the event, then its just an event you're paying for. Then you remove the issue of playing a certain amount of Lindens for a prize.
  7. New poster here, forums stalker....my 2 alts are Belli residents. With the increased number of people and obviously vehicles, won't this effect residents in those areas that aren't interested in those type of things or the activity that comes along with it? Right now, there is still a classy feel and look to the homes, the ability to sit and enjoy the peace and the definite lack of clutter & obnoxious builds that exists elsewhere. People respect each others privacy and homes. Outside of a few exceptions, there are very few people just randomly tp'ing into your yard. Allowing GTFO is allowing commercial activity then you have to allow it all, where does it end? If someone decides to operate a strip club in their home but keeps the tip jars out of Belli, does that count since technically no money is changing hands there? What about a music club with the same concept? GTFO doesn't exist for free, there's someone making money behind it, the method of making that money or the amount is irrelevant...for profit in SL = commercial. Not everyone is interested in this type of rp and the traffic alone from the "wildly popular" game already makes it something that residents will have to deal with whether they like it or not. Hate to be the pessimist here but the rules are pretty clear about commercial activity in Belli and its apparent why those rules exist. Allow GTFO, you have to allow all commercial activity just because they are attempting to come up with technicalities doesn't mean others won't as well. You can't just start making exceptions for one group.
