  1. Did you try contacting the Estate owners? They might have some sort of rule (although nothing is mentioned in their covenant which likely means they are turning a blind eye) regarding how many avatars are allowed per parcel. LL will always take time to look into the matter. We had a similar issue on an adult mainland region where a club used to park 30-32 bots or AFK avatars as they called it. It was almost impossible to enter that region most of the time as it was already a busy region with a lot of smaller parcels. Despite us all land owners and renters sending AR regularly as that club was only on a 4096 sqm parcel (they were renting that parcel), LL didn't take any action telling us there aren't enough abuse reports. Finally, they did take action after several weeks but the alts were all back in 3 or 4 days. Even talking to the club owners was useless in that case as they strongly believed the avatar limit on a region is 100 even if it's mainland and they weren't doing any harm to anyone. So my advice is to get your estate owners involved rather than going to LL if you really want fast action. Note: I visited your club but I couldn't see any bots parked at your neighboring club, so it would be better to contact your estate owners/managers via IM when they are doing it rather than just leaving a notecard. It would also be good to take a screenshot of the bots and keep incase you couldn't get hold of anyone when the bots are online.
  2. I do not feel ok nor do I allow it in my private regions as I have had enough bad experiences about this in my past when I was living in mainland. I am pretty strict about it and I do not regret losing renters while enforcing it as I think everyone is ok as long as its happening with someone else or they are overlapping someone else's place. Each one pay for their prims as well as the area, so letting someone who has a 1024sqm parcel use as much area as one with 4096sqm parcel or a whole sim would be injustice in my opinion. There are many landlords who are afraid of losing renters so they do not have a strict covenant or those who just don't really want to be bothered with all the writing and just let the tenants solve it on their own and there are still people who live there!   3. Sorry, it doesn't mean anything related to a region unfortunately and its not really reliable. In private regions, the parcels often comes with a default claimed date - Wed June 30 2004, even if you buy the region directly from LL today. In the case of mainland it only means since when the 'Owner' mentioned is the owner of that parcel, nothing about the tier date.
  4. Can you please let me know where exactly it is or share a screenshot? I wasn't exactly sure where you meant so I checked it in World > Region Details which shows Region/Estate details, but couldn't find any such information.
  5. That's right. You are right, received an email of the support ticket of that region transfer I got into trouble with, they told they could always verify if we ask. I thought they would never share more details about a region! I had been waiting for a response since 3 days after I realized it went wrong, its then I became impatient and posted here. Thank you for replying. I was just stupid to trust someone thinking they own a rental business and would care about their account and above all they would be knowing what they are doing. I opted to talk to the seller rather than report for fraud when I was given the option by LL, as I wasnt sure if its a typo or intentional. Anyways, I got the money back which I paid thinking it has tier worth 23 days left even if not after such a good experience https://gyazo.com/2d605f6b54c86c5da7a12c52bdc9c0dd. Its better to pay more to LL than buying from others if its just empty land. You have to clear all their settings and ridiculously long ban lists , wait for transfer to happen and get worried whether they would backoff etc; and then comes this! I wish I didnt try to make the transfer faster just to know what he would have done if transfer happened after the tier was charged to him instead of me!
  6. If someone really want to do a fraud as even screenshots can be photoshopped how would we verify this information? Is it something Support would tell you if you ask before placing a ticket for region transfer?

  9. Even if its shared media/media on prim, its user specific and is just your browser displayed on a prim, so they cannot access your account information. They would only see what they could see if they are logged in. That is why you need to play videos at the same time to watch it synced. f you wish to let others view the content you see after logging in, then you would have to use 3rd party sites to stream it. Tip: When in doubt, always use an alt to test.

People are quite helpful there so if you have any doubt you could always ask in the group chat. You will get to meet like minded people there, watch them build, learn more just by reading chat and make friends (eventually).

  13. I agree to your customer point of view, and I always suggest people to get regions and homesteads from LL directly if they could. But most doesn't want to spend that extra cost to buy the region. Now this is what happens to your landlord who is trying to take profit to her/his RL, I am pretty sure that last part isn't applicable for those who are making lindens just to spend it all in SL or see it as a hobby or RP. So lets start trying to get 109$ to pay LL tier, 240 is the best exchange rate, it rarely ever goes to 239 and if you want it quick its 241! That's just the cost. And yeah, they have to pay fees to LL to get it converted to dollars as region tier fees are not in L$. Finally after waiting for 1 year to get profits and going through all the phases of people abandoning the region or just disappearing without paying rent and it staying on market for 1 or 2 weeks or sometimes even longer if you have much more regions and SL is slowing down. When your landlord is charging 6300L$/week which is 27000L$/month, this is what he get. So if its a normal homestead, he is paying from his pocket just to get a renter. As not all has the money to buy GF region or could hold those regions since the olden days, lets consider the 6700L$/Week or 28714L$/month. So $115.47 - $109 = 6.47$/month profit at the 100% perfect scenario with full occupancy since the day you bought that region. Now lets try taking this money to RL, most serious real estate businesses in SL does try to do that! $6.47 becomes $6.14 once it reaches your RL, then if you want to convert it to any other currency, depending on the country there is another fee by paypal, which brings it down even further. This is by considering you are not subjected to VAT. Maybe the real estate giants who has lot of grandfathered regions would be able to offer it at 6300L$-6700L$/week but I don't think others would be able to do that, certainly not if they are trying to run a business in RL, not a non-profit organization. I also do not think anyone who has business expereince in SL (or even RL) would expect it to be a perfect place with constant number of serious people who always pay rent on time and never leave it on arrears and disappear. All I could say is bless those who pay $109 to LL and still offer us a homestead for 6300L$ - 6700L$, they are the real SL saints!
  14. As I told I am ok with them overlapping over my parcels or over the region ends (off sim as you tell) it doesnt bother anyone. They simply didnt want to move it even a bit telling they would have to do redo the landscaping, while I had told them before they started landscaping, as soon as they placed their megaprim cylinder. Its not like they don't know how off-sim works and where it won't overlap other parcels, they are 14 years old and seems to see themselves as professional landscaper/builder.
  15. There are many houses these days which shows 1 or 2m difference from what is stated on marketplace or information and I have had tenants rezzing those. I used to help them overlap the parcels that is owned by the group rather than those owned by other tenants if it is such a small difference. These people are putting things that is like 20-128m bigger than their skyplatform, even a 512sqm is only as big as 32x16m. For those who think I am being too strict, the image is of the first case I mentioned, the highlighted object is the skyplatform I had put, they wanted to make it invisible as its easier for them to put down terrain, I was happy to do that and I did tell them its there so you know your boundaries. It is a 128x128m sized skyplatform on a quarter region sized parcel, if you compare the size of the parcel with the projection you could see what I mean. The second one had rezzed a full sim surrounding from Landscapes Unlimited over a 1/4 region skyplatform, I didn't take a picture as anyone who has seen those will know the extend of abuse. I always try to think what I would feel when I see things like this if I am the one who is paying for that land. If I am going to buy a parcel I would never get one which has a mega prim enroaching my sky, and I always used to check sky to see how the place is. I have had parcels in mainland (and still has) and in one place I had a person who was doing the same, she would put the root prim on her land and link all the trees, rocks, plants etc to that, and push like 10m into other parcels. I returned it as I was clearing up the land after I bought it as I had to put down my building and obviously she didn't like it and a series of issues followed, I finally had to sell that parcel just because of her. I had decided I would never let that happen to anyone else and as far as I know my good renters like my places as they know I will take care of such issues. If that means I won't get people who want to take advantage, its alright, I would rather have 2 people to whom I can provide good quality places than 10 who want to make my places look like mainland. I certainly don't care what they do if they have talked about it to their neighbours, I often encourage people to do that, work with their neighbours to plan terraforming, landscape etc. In this case they hadn't, one even found that they had rezzed things that uses his/her land impact after I taught them how to check it. Also this is just skyplatform rental, not even land, so they pay according to their prim usage, so that was also cheating in one way as they had rezzed it on land owned by renters, so prim count wont get counted as its not under my ownership and the owner of land wasn't informed. Thanks a lot @Qie Niangao for that, I was looking for something of that sort. I often give time to correct it, I return only if the renter isn't responding or hasn't come online since few days, so just a reporting would be enough. I was busy after I posted this, that's why it took so long to reply, thank you everyone for your inputs. PS: Of the two cases I mentioned, the first one's renter made the one (he did the landscaping for her) who was coming and fighting with me fix it as I gave them the final warning (first warning was shortly after they started it and final warning was after 2 months, I suppose that's more than enough time). In the second case I was able to make him understand I wasn't the one who returned and seems to have stopped doing it.
  16. Yes, it didn't work as I mentioned already. As most of these full sim surroundings (made of mega prim) has their root prim in the center and the object entry seems to stop only object's root prim from entering the parcel, there is no way to stop you from covering the whole region.
  17. In the case of private regions, is there anyway to stop people from rezzing objects that enroach other parcels at the first place? I have enabled return of enroachments in region settings, but then it has become a common trend for those renting 1/4 region skyplatforms (Which is at a corner of the region) to rezz surroundings/mega prims that enroaches other parcels. Even if I have written it almost everywhere possible to stay within the skyplatform there are at least few who just ignore it and think its ok to rezz it as long as none find it. If I go and tell them to remove things that overlap other parcels, they come back telling 'other land owners allow it' or that 'it doesn't bother anyone due to your placement and its in sky' etc. Meanwhile if someone decides to return it because it was covering their land, these covenant breakers will come back to me again telling 'I should have taken it, I want my money back', when I would be having no clue what happened! I think as it shows 'returned by owner' they believe its me who returned it. It has become a real headache as people think its alright to break the covenant as long as no one see it and I can understand why many doesn't care what renters do as its not easy job to keep watching whats going on when you have quite a lot of regions. This is my full time work and I am not a big one, so I get time to go and check things once in a while and make sure things are clean and in order. I do see the good renters appreciate it as they could live peacefully in their places, so I have no plan to become the one who allow using an excess from what they have rented as it would injustice to the one who spent all that money to get the size they need and abide the rules. If there is any setting that would stop people from doing it please let me know. ('Object entry' certainly isnt good enough for it, I had tried that)

  22. To an extend, yes. I have tried to make it look as much as like me in RL, but I do not think it was a 100% success. I have same hair colour, eye colour and almost similar skin colour (I tints it as its hard to get an exact skin colour). I was even crazy enough to measure myself and use that for my avatar (those sliders/measurements are not that good for that, so you need to make things proportional sometimes by visual comparison) but due to the restrictions of mesh bodies and heads there is a limit. I tried many heads and finally bought one which could be shaped more like my real head, but still am not fully satisfied. Due to auto alpha in clothes these days, the clothes I wear does make me look more 'shaped'. I think my SL avatar is much better looking than my RL even if I tried to make her as imperfect as me in RL. Below is the picture of my SL version Vs my RL Version (yes, its blurred).
