So not alone - but there are lots of blurry lines over how people see and use these themes at Halloween I think we might all still have someway to go. I think the creators make great video content but Halloween always throws up some grey areas for me.

I am quite sure I'm going to be in the minority here but -
I'm offended by the Asylum themed video! The video shows an Asylum with what I assume is a deranged girl locked in a cage!
This type of stigmatising, stereotypical portrayal of mental health contributes to people not seeking the help they need!
I presume the other characters are deranged mental patients?? I also presume we are to believe that there is nothing more frightening than a mental patient in an Asylum at Halloween??
To me this isn't Halloween fun and surely something else could have been produced that didn't involve the need for the use of an Asylum.

Have some respect for the next owner who might get that home, who's new address is forever posted on the forums for everyone to port to!!
I've landed several properties of all sorts which were posted on the thread and not once have I ever had unwanted visitors. I think most people will do a quick check on the map and if the land is named and is no longer Linden Home that's the end of it. Maybe these people have other reasons to drop in on you? Did you ever ask them?

Also, I've gone through lots of houses, still have a couple great spots, but I got them by posting on the forums that I was looking for one and most recently - get this - I saw a spot that was in a big LH group, and I kindly messaged the owner how much I loved it and if she ever planned on getting rid of it to please let me know. Guess what? Same night she let me try for it! Maybe try coming at things with the slightest better attitude 🙄
So let me get this right - your suggestion of "coming at things with the slightest better attitude" is to message the owner of a big land group and kindly ask if you can please have one of their homes if they ever give it up? Ok well I did message one of them and I was met with abuse and then I got a message from the persons daughter who accused me of being nasty to her Mum (which I wasn't) I said I just wanted to understand why they wanted/needed so many homes and at that point she offered me a home on the condition I didn't leave it! I declined as it somehow felt like my silence was being bought. I don't know if I was expected to try to catch the house or if she was just telling me to go live in it as I didn't go any further into it for fear of somehow getting into a situation where a chat log could be used against me. I actually thought you caught your home after one of the GOH's players asked on the thread for people to contact her on the day that region was released and I did think about it myself but then noticed later in the evening it was gone - obviously to you.

When I initially thanked you for making this thread I was under the impression that you and your partner couldn't actually get a home NOT that you had certain preferences that need to be met before you accept a home! I talked with a friend this morning and as she was downgrading one of her alts I suggested to her she that she offer you a sweet vic she'd found, but she now tells me it didn't suit as it wasn't on water, it was close to water both front and back and on a corner spot yet didn't meet with your criteria. 😳
So your actual frustration isn't with the fact you can't get a home but with the fact that the homes you have rolled haven't met your particular criteria which is something quite different to what you initially made out.

Every premium pays the same price for a home, alt isn't relevant.You obvs don't properly understand what/who we're talking about when we talk about the land group. We are all aware it's "not even possible to own LH as group"
You try living across the street from someone who has 5 tacky houses facing your view then see how you like it before you start commenting.

Ok people I am throwing this one back into the pot.
Click now for a lovely little victorian spot which suits the Doyle perfectly. Across the road you can view the water and a pink house with numerous lighted trees. Inside the house are numerous lights which you may choose to derender and while you're at it cam into the living area to enjoy the woodland animals and foliage. Not much of a neighbourly feel as I doubt anyone lives there... nor in the houses either side of it which are also owned by the same people.
Edited to add - For those on this forum who have no issue with a certain Land Group owning numerous vic homes, lets see you toss back some of your prime spots and take a spot like this IF you really don't have a problem. Nah thought not!

I always have to laugh when people feel the need to announce their departure from a Forum. I wonder if they expect others to plead with them not to go!
It also seems to me that it's ok for some people to have emotions related to Forum content about others showing hate and anger yet when the minority show any emotion at all in regard to not getting a home or finding their new home faces FIVE houses owned by a LH Collector with tacky taste they are quickly told to file an AR and/or pipe down.
Perhaps if you find your dream log home is suddenly surrounded by someone with multiple homes all covered with tatt and the so called community you thought you were moving into is a farce you'd think differently.

It's fantastic. I have a Continental in Ketran that is on a huge, high cliff with direct front views to open water with not a single thing blocking the view. Not even houseboats. Just ocean for as long as you can see. The backyard is *ok* enough but it's the front that makes this house a keeper. Like you, when I rezzed to the spot after catching it, I was astonished that anyone would give it up. That view is to die for!

Thank You for making this thread. Many times I was told to pipe down when I started being vocal about the multiple alt home owners in the other thread and in the end I just gave up talking about it. I had quite a few forum lurkers contact me in-world expressing their anger about the situation who were actually too scared to come onto the forum because of fear of backlash.
I downgraded this avatar because of the whole situation. I was lucky enough to get quite a few beautiful homes on release day but my happiness was short lived when I realised I was living next door to the alts of the land company. They quickly set up their colourful add-ons, sparkly trees and plants then buggered off never to be seen again. I landed a house in Carders Mill a few days ago and before I tossed it back I noticed they have one of their vics filled with grass and woodland animals! IMO it ruins the whole community feel if they have 4 or 5 houses all in a row or in close proximity. I also recently landed a house back in North Wall and noticed they have a lodger or maybe it's a squatter... but some guy has placed all his furniture and moved in! They've obvs not been round there in a while as the outside trees are still all black triangles just like they have been for weeks!
I noticed the self appointed GOH's Queen got 3 spots on Whither - all prime locations of course, which will now no doubt be passed to her mates or kept because of her greed and you can bet that when Barker is released she'll be there too!
I went back to the log and trad homes but still have hopes of finding a vic that I love so I keep on trying I just don't post my abandons on the thread for fear of the wrong people snapping them up.

The person who quoted my post after I removed it contacted me and we talked in a personal message... and she removed the quote!!
I have moved on both from this subject and from the region, yet here we are on ANOTHER day and YOU are still going on about it and quoting me! It seems you are the one with the issue. The "stress of corona" sometimes does make it difficult for me to control my emotions (which I find is a much better term to use than "losing it") and I do start to cry, get angry etc., because I've been shielding for so long as I have serious health issues, so to distract myself I go to SL and decorate my home/s. I thought I had found my forever home but ended up feeling intimated by these people so I abandoned it, and some others which I landed on which were close to their properties, which you also might find funny. I haven't renewed my premium on 2 accounts now because of this situation, where I find a nice home and these people are there, or have been there and left their mark by dressing up a home and then leaving it empty. These people and others like them are ruining Belli for me and it doesn't feel the community friendly way I envisaged. People having more than one property is fine but this is excessive behaviour now.
As for the discussion "becoming embarrassing" - what is embarrassing is the fact people are paying premium and not being able to get a Linden Home when others have multiple homes all in prime locations standing empty. Not everyone has the confidence to give their name and add to the discussion on here as they've told me this in-world but like me and some of the others many people are angry and upset about this situation.

I don't see some crisis in 5 homes being split between 2 people across 2 different regions over the span of a half a month...
It's much more than 5 homes it's closer to 20!!
I have LM's and screenshots. It's not even something that took up much time as people started contacting me in world after I started posting on here and sharing that these people had houses on regions they lived on, or they'd been house hunting and came across their properties... as they are pretty distinctive.

I note that there are several reactions on the other posts and now comments about how wonderful Pru & Cian's productions are... yet none on my post.
Much talk is made about supporting others when they are suffering from Mental Health problems, yet I have spoken out about being affected by the video and I am basically ignored and the conversation is shut down with the suggestion of a new thread if there is to be further discussion.
A public acknowledgement or at the very least a direct reply would have been appreciated but instead I am shown an impersonal reply which was privately sent to another person who was triggered.
