Hi. I sent you an im inworld.
Also, to other readers, if you get to his profile and find this product on mp, it is just a nc with his name and no instructions.
Hey! This solution is not completely automated, so I can't sell it as a self-contained product. I will have to do some things manually, that's why the nc tells to contact me

I'm looking for volunteers who would like to copy their real life look into second life:
Feel free to contact me inworld

A nice idea i'd love to scan my dogs head and then my cousins arm and after my foot put it on my system avatar and see how cool it can look
Too bad the app only works with people.
However, I would love to see an app that scans dogs!

or intended to be delivered in the real world...that's the part that got it removed. The coupon is for an app? Delivered to RL phone? It's the ORs that get ya. All separate things not this AND that.
To be exact, it was an SL Notecard delivered to SL inventory.
The notecard prompted the user to create a 3d body scan with the app. Then the scan was supposed to be sent to me for rigging and uploading to Second Life (we don't have this part automated since this is a beta test).
We could deliver the avatar directly to SL inventory, but I don't see how we can remove the app from this chain, because it is essential for 3d body scan acquisition.

most people see the wanted as a section where others point to solutions, not their own products or a agenda.
Your product isn't made for, or ready for SL, current standards for mesh avatars are a lot higher than what your pics show.
Yes it's different because of the use of a pic, but quality isn't up to competition with the normal skins and appliers.
Thank you for your insightful personal opinion!

your links were erased by a mod
you listing on MP was removed
Be carefull.. don't push your luck with the promotion here. This is "wanted" section, so I presumed that sharing information relevant to requests is allowed here.
Anyway, thank you for being vigilant and keeping an eye out for perpetrators. You are doing an amazing service to the community!

Hey!
Take a look at how I made an avatar of myself:

You can try - submit a Support Ticket with detailed information about the item. Too me though, it still appears to be a non-item listing. The person is not getting something directly in SL from the purchase and they have to go use an iphone app to use the coupon.
Yeah... we can't make an avatar of them otherwise...

The listing may get removed. You are providing a coupon related to a real world product - the iPhone app. That is classified as a 'non-item listing' and not allowed.
Already is!
QuoteThe item has been blocked due to Non-Item Listing - Real-World Goods or Service
However, to quote the policy
QuoteWe expressly prohibit the listing or sale of any and all goods or services designed or intended to be delivered in the real world, for example, delivered in person or mailed or shipped to a physical address, or digital content designed or intended for use exclusively outside of Second Life.
This service is intended for Second Life, because we make the avatar with an IPhone app and then upload it to Second Life.
Can I appeal this in any way?

Hello everyone,
a while ago I shared a post on how I created an avatar of myself:
Now I would love to enable other people to get such avatars, for free.
I made a coupon and posted it to marketplace. The coupon explains how to get the avatar: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Free-Coupon-in3d-Real-Life-Avatar/20175650
How do I get people to discover this offer?

Advertising is not allowed on the forums.
Ok, but I'd like to make such avatars for other people, for free...
How do I let people know?

@kolllyaI think you have a market here for those people that strive to recreate themselves in SL, the only real issue is going to be making the avatar more of a game asset i.e lower poly, hair, eyes and clothing. I know a few people that say their avatar looks like them.
Anybody remember that machine you could upload pictures of yourself and you would get a personalized skin?
@Janet Voxel yes it would be cool to deliver personalized avatars to such people!

Scanning is cool but the result is not supposed to be used as is in game environment, pls check your avatar geometry, unless you did retopo, it`s gazilion polygons, not something you want or need in SL ....I sure hope ppl don`t start doing this, there`s more than enough un-optimized mesh already...
Yes, the app itself does retop. The mesh can be further downsampled if needed

That looks pretty neat. (I saw the video of him dancing so for those asking about rigging, it obviously is).
That said, I can't imagine anything worse than having an avatar that looks exactly like the way I look in RL. Now if someone makes an app that will do it the other way round, and change my RL body to match my avatar... HAVE ALL OF MY MONEY NOW!!!
Insightful!

Interesting idea. Could use some clean up, but I'm pretty impressed for what its worth. Is this going to be your main look?
Maybe

Were you able to rig the mesh body produced? Without rigging for SL you'd just have a static mesh object that can't move.
Actually, my friend helped. I believe he used Avastar
