  1. You keep trying getting my attention. But if you read carefully I also mentioned "because of some likes you putted". If you don't want them to do that, just don't leave likes.
  2. Before people started to freak out for Meta showing them shoes on their homepage there was a pertinent post in the first page from Drayke Newall which shows some images Meta shared and there are legs I totally dislike current Metaverse like Horizon (from Meta) VRchat etc.. those with no legs. And they have no future in my opinion. What Meta is trying to achieve is something more, that (in their plans) will be a revolution of how we will use internet, as they did with social networks that improved our quality of life, like everything that big tech companies brings. They can fail as any other company, as a user i'm looking forward to see what they will bring and they can know how old I'm and where I live so Nike can show me some fancy sneakers.
  3. I'm just sad I'm not one of that billionaire or one of my hobbies would be to read people writing random stuff and conspiracy theories about my company while I enjoy my billions. This said.. I think we can move on. The post was about Meta avatars not having legs.
  4. People tend to see "sinister" aspects (it's how the discussion started) in anything. But you can be reassured. Meta is not going to manipulate your mind. Max it can do it can show you a pair of shoes on your homepage because of some likes you putted, gender info and location you decided to share.
  5. The country under a communist party that is not voted by people? Yes I heard about it.
  6. Because rules are different from EU and USA. Doesn't mean EU are "better". Just different procedures. What you call " care about little things like privacy, toxic disinformation, media manipulation, echo chambers, and the general dumbing-down of public discourse " are instead slower and older procedures that, unfortunately, we have in EU that makes us being so weak compared to USA which is and will be for the next 50+ years the first economic power, where all the "bad guys" make their big companies that changes the world while in Europe we are 20 yrs in the past.
  7. The EU just wants data to be also in EU servers and not USA. Is not fighting your "I don't want Facebook to know I like Rhianna" thing.
  8. It's explained in their privacy policy page which I suppose you read all very carefully https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy And yes, they do it for business. That's so bad, a company that does business.
  9. They share. Not sell. But even if they sell. As I just said. Let's say facebook gives to Nike info about your age, your likes and where are you from. Then what? What's the big deal? Do you realize that every app, website, smartphone etc.. tracks our data all the time? And do you realize that 1+billions people uses facebook and more people uses internet and actually your personal data are nothing among all those from all the people in the world? At least with facebook, instagram and whatsapp you know that if you want you can just turn them off and they will not know your precious info like age and gender or the like you putted to Lionel Messi page (just an example) and if you aren't fine with that you can turn off and delete all their apps.
  10. Wrong, again. As I said before I don't mind about random links. I want official documents from authorities accusing Meta to SELL datas without people consent.
  11. Nope, they don't sell anything. They use my data to show me "pertinent" (not always) ads on their platform and they SHARE (not sell) some data with other websites. Data like my gender, my age etc.. All stuff YOU WRITE on facebook. Even all this data sharing, people are scared about, you think to be that important? The fact that someone knows the like you put to a page, how old are you and where are you from matters that much among more than 1 billion users where your data are some random lines that just software will see? If that scares you too much, fine. Delete all your Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp profiles and you are free. If that doesn't scare you, keep using it. We are free to choose. But here people choose drama and to follow the trend of hating big companies.
  12. I didn't see the documentation that gives an official accuse to Meta to sell our data without our consent. I missed the post. Can you point it a me?
  13. Oh yes? I was expecting them treating us with care, love and send us birthday gifts and not as a source of income. What a bad guy he is!
  14. I'm not defending anyone. I'm just stating facts while you and others that tried to answer me talks for.. theories and fantasies. But you are right, I should not "donate my time" to someone that thinks that a random dude, just because he is rich would buy me for organs This shows just how all your argument are based on nothing. I guess to say that you know him personally, right? Is getting more and more ridicolous.
  15. Yeah, cult for nerds. Tells me skepwith from Second Life forum. I love when you don't have nothing to say react starting to "try" to offend. I can leave you then talk about me with your "cult" of people hating "the bad guys from big corps". Kisses!
  16. Oh yes. Because every quarterly report they "don't" release a thing called "Meta Earning Presentation where they go into details about earning they made and reported in their balance sheet. Kepp trying. Or as I said, I can tell you are right and make your day.
  17. Yes, they share your data with other websites or app. But they tell you this. Here we are talking about selling our datas elsewhere without telling you. Like collecting all your infos and passing it to someone else for things you don't even know. If you don't want them to do this, just don't use it. If they tell me and I keep using their services is on me.
  18. How this is selling our personal data against your consent? I don't click any banners, then for how you think Meta should not show me any banner at all anywhere because I'm a waste of time for them. You miss the fact that a PUBLIC TRADED COMPANY must show any business they have and must be reported in their balance sheet. But no.. the fact that forbers have ads is a proof and a fact that Meta sells ads. It's incredible how people can go far with their imagination when they don't have proofs and facts but they want to win an argument. But if is that important to you and to others not having proofs I can just say you are all right and move on.
  19. I'm sorry to break your satisfaction, but I have nothing against website earning with banners. I was just stating how useless is to share a Forbes article about some random Meta related stuff when what I ask are proofs and facts (real) that meta sells our data without telling us. If you have that, as I said 20 times already I will be more than happy to know.
  20. The big banners you see when you click the link. That is how a website makes money.
  21. Don't be silly! Big companies are all evil! No exception! 😂 Based on what I see among the big tech this is how I think people see them: Pure evil: Meta Evil: Amazon Nobody cares about: Microsoft Good/Positive: Google, Apple I don't know where to put Tesla yet (it isn't a pure tech, but is anyway involved in tech too). Tesla is loved and hated equally. Edit: For me they go all under "Love" ❤️
  22. You can't make everyone happy, is just impossible. Amazon makes happy majority of people: Customers. Those paying for that "Happines" are sellers. But if you become a popular Amazon seller be sure that you will be "very happy too".
  23. There are 2 types of sellers with Amazon, those using their shipping service and those using their own shipping service. If they use their shipping service then it goes under the "prime" service with 24h (or for some major cities even less) delivery. About working for amazon: It's another thing that is always discussed, also here "a trend", the thing is that most of the big companies like Google etc, they hire mostly if not only highly qualified people and they can offer a better/high standard job quality life. Amazon hires also "not qualified" people and the work environment is for sure more stressful and less "fancy" than working in a Silicon Valley office. But they improved a lot that part. In my country, Amazon is not good nor bad and in a country that is not growing much like mine it brings lots of jobs and people are quite happy with it. In USA standards are different so it might look like a bad job, the good thing is people working for Amazon can just leave and go to work somewhere else. Working WITH Amazon being a seller: Yes, that can be actually bad. The amazing customer experience we have is basically on people selling on Amazon. Lots of people takes advantage of the services of Amazon and they buy things then start to ask for refunds, sending it back in "not good" conditions etc. Amazon is very "strict" with their sellers, being an Amazon seller is basically the opposite of being an Amazon customer and the fees are actually bit high, but they offer to them a huge spot to sell their stuff and if they manage to sell on Amazon very well, they can earn more than they would do with a local shop or with a website made on their own, the bad side is that is not easy to become a popular Amazon seller, but that's "natural selection" some survive, some "dies". As I said in the first post.. Is called progress, someone benefits from it, someone pays for it. You need to fight to keep it up.
  24. lol my "investment" is just to say that I know the company and I follow it more closely than the "average user" as someone doing any other job about anything else follows another topic more than I do. Meta does not sell any data. All the rests are "blabla". If I ask proofs and real facts I don't get it, is always like this. Every "discussion" I have here I ask for facts but all I get are random links and people having theory, like your theory now that I'm "unable to see things" because I earn from my investment.. My next answer will be to someone providing me facts and proofs of meta selling our data and I will thank that person because would be an insider and early info so I can get out of my investment now before it crashes I read enough conspiracy for today.
  25. Can you please share to me an official document that give a SENTENCE against Meta for selling our data without our consent? Or real PROOFS that shows that this is happening right now? Those are FACTS, not random articles of random "stuff". As I told to the other person, you find thousands of stuff, Forbes and any other website that earns with your click (oh yeah, they collect your data too!) know how is a trend to hate Facebook so they love to make an article about any little thing happening, which is just normal for companies of those dimensions.
