I didn't realize there was a rule against double posting???? I posted the original post in the builders forum and realized I might get more results in the inworld employment forum. Maybe I should clear a few things up. First of all I don't need my resort to look exactly like this reference picture, it's just a reference I don't expect anyone to copy and paste the whole thing. And I said L$10,000 I think would be fair but I am open to negotiating. I don't know where you get the idea that it would take months to build this but it's simply not true. I have friends who have made an entire sim, beautifully made, in less than a month. My land isn't even an entire sim its a plot of land so I don't know who would take months to build this but frankly I wouldn't want them as my builder if they took that long anyway. I'm paying L$6000 a week for this land so my time is precious right now. I've been working on this build by myself so far and even I being the talentless builder that I am could do this job in less than a month if I really wanted to, which I don't and that's why I'm willing to pay someone. Secondly we are talking about SL, nobody is expecting you to put actual physical labor into building this for "less than a dollar a day" the standard of payment is way different then real life and for good reason. I work as a stripper and make maybe L$5000 a week for the 6 hours I put in each week. That's about $4.89 an hour in rl money. In rl that's not even legal in the states, but in sl that's pretty good payment. No one is asking me to physically dangle from a pole, all I'm doing is clicking through animations, so I wouldn't expect to get paid as much as a real stripper. In my 6 months of being on sl I've worked on a lot of big project, sometimes for free, but never have I even come close to being paid L$10,000 for any of the jobs I did. This is why I was under the impression that L$10,000 would be a lot of money and quite frankly more than a fair price. If you think you should be paid a million to work on a build then that's your prerogative and frankly I'd hope you're a really good builder for that asking price, but don't come on here trying to speak for everyone because it's simply not the case.

I have the slink dev kit and I made a shirt for slink hourglass, however when I uploaded the shirt into second life the shirt wasn't in the right place on my avatar's body. It was only visible from the back and was sideways. In blender the shirt was in the right position on the slink body. So I'm wondering why it was so messed up when I uploaded. I read somewhere that avastar is needed to make the clothes be fitted and rotated properly. That seems outrageous.

I am trying to upload a shirt to sl but I don't have the option to include skin weights. I read here that it's because the mesh is rigged to 155 bones, and it can only be rigged to 110. How do i decrease the number of bones the shirt is rigged to in order to include skin weights? Thank you so much.

Looking for highrise luxury apartment to live in

I simply want to design clothes for ebody, maitreya, slink, and legacy bodies but the only available kit I have access to right now is the ebody kit. I don't understand why all the other body brands make you apply to get a kit. And then in the application a lot of them say they won't send you a kit unless you already have an in-world store. What sense does it make to purchase land and pay the tier each week for it to just sit there because you don't have anything to put it in it because you can't make clothes without a body. I'm confusion. If anybody has a link to where I can simply download the kit that would be appreciated. Thanks.

I bought a really cute top for my job thinking it was just the top but it came attached with a miniskirt. The miniskirt is too short for my jobs dresscode and I was wondering are there alphas that will hide parts of an outfit. or is there a way to stretch the outfit so the skirt part doesn't show? So I went to school for 3d modelling and I know how to model and work primarily in maya. My issue is after I have my model, where do I go from there. I know you have to rig and paint weights on the hair but I don't know how to do that. Do you have to make hair for different heads or can you weight it in a way that it fits any head. I don't know how to do any of this and am looking for a guide or tutorial on how to do this. Thank you so much!

I bought the normie bento head by utilizator, but it doesn't come with a skin. It says it comes with omega? I don't see an omega relay hud in the folder. So I don't know how to apply a skin onto the bento head. Thank you! Desperately need help!

Hi guys, I'm new to second life and I'm really confused. I want to get the Soho Skybox by Onsu but I don't know where to place it. I don't understand how to know if a parcel of land I buy will be big enough to fit the skybox. Or does it not matter because it's in the sky?
