  1. I really like a lot of the things I've found at The Black Forest. There is a great attention to detail that I really appreciate. For example they have a really beautiful wood burning stove that I think I only paid 75 l for when I saw it at an event. Not only was it beautifully textured and a very modest LI, but the pipe that takes the smoke "outside" is extended to a piece on the outer wall that makes the placement make sense. I am probably the only person who ever cares about this , but bugs me when I see a massive fireplace with a roaring fire where there shouldn't be one (no outer chimney). I have no idea if it passes the other markers of what is deemed good mesh.
  2. Most major skin stores have skins for Legacy now, but I think there are a couple that haven't gone entirely bom yet. As a lady myself I am not super familiar with all the brands out there, but the ones I do know and like are Stray Dog, Avarosa, Bold & Beauty, and Session. Good luck!
  3. Finding a store that sells straight vintage fashion of good quality is a bit of unicorn, but if someone does find one please post it. What you will find though is a ton of vintage inspired clothing out there. So it might not be sold as vintage, but if you know the silhouettes you are wanting to create you totally can. Casual Vintagey Clothes Tres Blah Fashionably Dead The Secret Store Decoy Cheezu Gowns Dead Doll Plastix Zaara Belle Epoque Hair Lamb Exile Clawtooth Doux By no means an exhaustive list, but just some of my faves.
  4. I don't know of any free heads that have a prominent nose, but you might want to check out Lelutka. The Zora head specifically has a beautiful romanesque nose. Definitely try their demo. Good luck!
  5. @Chic Aeon I think the issue is wayyyy more egregious on male skins and Legacy. I've experienced it myself looking nearly as bad, but thankfully foot tattoos were there to fix it while updated body skins were being made. My current skin looks great on either body without having to use a tattoo layer on my feet now. I mostly wear Legacy's perky body and fall back on Maitreya when i want to wear some of my older clothes.
  6. @Adosin Hey Adosin, like others have said its due to your body skin not being made to fit the legacy body. While best option is to indeed find a skin that is made for Legacy, you can also try a toe/foot fix. This one from Izzie's is free . It is modeled on a female foot but I think should it still work. This one from Peng is advertised as unisex however, but does cost a little bit of Linden. Try the Izzie's one first though . I've used her stuff for years and she's great at fixes.
  7. I also wanted to add that your particular skin that you have was not made for a Catwa head , but since it is bom will technically go on the mesh head. What you may notice is that the mouth might appeared stretched as well as strange stretching around your nostrils and eyes. This is because each mesh head brand is shaped differently . The designer for Deetalez posted some pictures to illustrate this: And thank you for question. I know most people here are happy to help where we can or at least get you pointed in the right direction.
  8. I really like the black and white one. The eyes really draw you in.
  9. @Karina Leborski I tried turning off materials on my eyes and did not get this result. I think if you are using the eyes in the hud, you need to wear an eye alpha as it appears your system eyes might be poking through your mesh . Your head should have come with alphas in the folder. Choose the one that is Bom head/body, applier eyes. If you want to just wear BOM eyes, click the "bakes on mesh" under the picture of the eye and it will show your system eyes on the mesh just like how system skins appear on mesh bodies.
  10. Maybe the Kupra Kupps might be something to look into for you. I think its a curvy body but with smaller breasts. Not sure how much support it has yet, but it seems to be rising in popularity.
  11. Since I was not familiar with the policy, I decided to google it and landed on the official wikipedia. You can read it here . I guess I am not seeing the ambiguous statement mentioned. To me it sounds like they are saying that unless you have expressed permission in written form from Linden Labs themselves, you cannot share your account. And it makes sense to me that this would be case because of the serious liability they would face with the security of your financial information. I think there are some caveats to this system such as when you have business accounts that need to be accessed by multiple people. All that said, I am not a Linden so I cannot say with absolute conviction what the truth is on the matter.
  12. The vast majority of my friends in SL are female though there are definite outliers. Probably has something to do with shared interests to certain degree.
  13. My experience with updating my own shape when the Boundless versions came out last year was that I basically had to make something almost entirely brand new to even be in the ball park of what I had before, and it still was not even close to my former look. Not bad just different. I think Lelutka realized that some shapes that were made prior would no longer be possible, and so they included the Dated version for people who were attached to their look. As far as I am aware, the dated version has all the other bells and whistles, but utilizes the older rigging. So if Synicide liked the look of the other shape, he would need the Dated version. I do think shapes made for Lelutka prior the 2.5 release probably should be taken down from stores/mp, especially those that are no mod or offer no demo.
  14. The idea sounds great on paper, but like others I think it will be too easy to abuse. My track record with creators is not 100 percent perfect, but for the most part I've had pretty exceptional service. I follow one simple rule. Demo. I must either be able to try it on or see it in world before I buy it. I also try really hard to resist the urge to impulse buy. Still some stuff gets by me, like complexity on mesh hair. I think what I'd like see is a system to help designers with their customer service. Some designers have CSRs and some designers do it themselves. Some creators treat this like a job, and for others this is strictly a hobby. There is no consistency across the platform with how to contact designers for help and the expectation of when that help may or may not arrive is usually not very apparent. So if we could have standard practices that everyone followed that stream lined the process for both designer and the consumer maybe that would help. I have no idea what that would entail really or if it was feasible.
  15. Welcome to the fun! The best advice I can give you right now in your fashion journey is to start organizing your inventory ! Don't wait for a decade like some of us (me) . Make sure to take some pictures of your avatar for posterity as your look will most likely change over time.
  16. This looks like a Doux gacha from a couple of years ago called Snowflake Queen. https://gyazo.com/00de155390754a2164447affd32a6b81
  17. I just cropped this one down so that it would play nicer on Flickr.
  18. I was just trying to search for that Skell. I had run across it awhile ago, and for the life of me I am not sure how you find galleries unless you get lucky and stumble across a product that is curated into one. They can really be helpful when searching for specific things, and I think I might try to make a few of my own that I can point people to in world if they are struggling for options.
  19. That was probably one of the biggest deciding factors for why I switched out of Genus was because of the animations, but we like what we like. If you haven't already, you could try the Vista facial animation hud or Happy Dispatch bento face ao. Both have demos so worth a look.
  20. If you are looking for static stand poses with breathing and some slight movement, Anaposes, OMY and I think Stun has them for men. But these are not full AOs. I have never in my full 14 years of SL found a premade AO that didn't have something that irked me about it. So even if I ever bought a full one, I usually ended up breaking it up and making my own override. I realize that is not for everyone too. It can be especially tedious if you are trying to use a hud outside of the Firestorm built in one.
  21. Lots of great stores. I use some from Space Cadet and OMY, but Anaposes and STUN are also pretty good too.
