  1. Okay, I'm confused. How am I getting different stations on this http://107.155.111.170:8270/;stream Even these two are playing different music at the same URL http://107.155.111.170:8270/;stream That everyone is posting? Also, when I add it to my land it is completely different. What gives?
  2. I really wish they would just ban the damn things. Oh well, wish in one hand and...
  3. Thanks, but this is just standard old mainland. Not Bellisseria or Linden homes. Nevertheless, the metadata method may be a good tool so show the neighbor that has the offending light source and help me locate it too. Thanks.
  4. Derendering the object does not remove the light, or the source of the light. It only removes it from your field of view.
  5. Hi, I'm curious if anything can be done about neighboring neon lights. They seem to penetrate everything and if they are flashing, it makes the parcel you are on unbearable. Besides pulling up steaks and moving, does anyone know a solution?

  11. A year ago you could sell at 240, today people are selling at 244. I've had an open order at 242 for eight days now. So, go figure if you are trading L$ for $ (USD) in $100 lots, the transaction now cost L$320 more than it did a year ago. If you are converting regularly to pay your tier and fees, it begins to cost more and more as people do not plan properly and become inpatient. Such is life i guess. Seems that chances are high that it may go as low as 245 by the end of the year. In short, it is not transacting quickly because you are being under bid by others. If you need a quick transaction you will have to take the lumps of a few L$ loss, which basically pays that forward to the rest of the community. Anyway, who needs selflessness, and collaboration for the good of the community? Yeah, all that hippy stuff is way overrated.
  12. Hi, I've been scouring MP to find a decent garden wall with snow that does not weigh two-tons in prims. Does anyone have a suggestion where such an item can be found?
  13. Do you have a stream that people can sample?
  14. The Second Life 19th birthday celebration has started. The Galleria at the Bay of Leif is celebrating by offering 50% off shop rentals. YES, that is right. Our shop rentals were only 1L per prim, but now during the 19th birthday celebration, you will only pay L$0.5 per prim for store space. As long as your rent and your rent is paid on time, and you are not evicted, your rate will never increase. So, yes, this is the perfect time to expand your MP store onto the grid. The 4-week 36-hours bonus and 8-week 3-day bonus still applies for long-term renters. Features a café courtyard with food and drink dispensers, and a funded Lindo machine to generate traffic. So, visit The Galleria at the Bay of Leif and take advantage of this offer, these spaces may not last long. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Leif/108/106/3227 Galleria Double-door Red (50 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$50 / Now L$25 Galleria Inside Corner Black (250 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$250 / Now L$125 Galleria Inside Corner Brown (250 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$250 / Now L$125 Galleria Inside Corner Green (250 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$250 / Now L$125 Galleria Inside Corner White (250 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$250 / Now L$125 Galleria Outside Corner Blk (75 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$75 / Now L$38 Galleria Outside Corner Green (75 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$75 / Now L$38 Galleria Outside Corner Red (75 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$75 / Now L$38 Galleria Outside Corner White (75 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$75 / Now L$38 Galleria XL Shop Dark (750 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$750 / Now L$375 Galleria XL Shop Bright (750 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$750 / Now L$375 Galleria Display Window Black (200 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$225 / Now L$113 Galleria Display Window Blue (150 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$150 / Now L$75 Galleria Display Window Brown (150 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$150 / Now L$75 Galleria Display Window White (150 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$150 / Now L$75 Galleria Large Center (500 Prims) WEEKLY RENT: Was L$500 / Now L$250
  15. Hi folks, I took the plunge and got the single available HDPro for dudes. Nevertheless, I'm finding there are some issues that I was not equipped to deal with. So, I am coming to you good folks to see if you can lead me down the path to enlightenment. 😉 (...enter the trolls). 1. My first issue is hair / hairbase. I've downloaded the HDPro BOM M but when I apply the tattoo it jacks up my head. So, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I cannot find out what. 2. I cannot find any functional and/or good looking hair for Black men that are Catwa HDPro compatible and fit this head. So, if anyone knows a store that the algorithm is not showing me, I'd appreciate it. The same goes for facial hair. 3. Animations! What the hell is my mouth doing? On the HUD I've chosen a static pose, then selected options form the animation HUD. I think I figured it out, but to say the least it is nowhere near perfect. So, I'm wondering, if I'm doing the right thing? I look forward to your feedback as I would really like this L$6k investment to go my way. 😅
  16. Yeah, I'm having the same problem. The prims come back in seconds. I have no idea why someone would want their prims to be resistant to being derendered, save for just being a knucklehead.
  17. Yes, the first experience in the PI is eye-opening. Like Chris Rock said in his routine about taking that bus to your resort. Nevertheless, what I found to be very interesting besides getting my wallet stolen by a taxi driver in Manilla on my first trip there...but I digress. In the PI there are literally people who are truly poor, on a global standard of the world. However, many of them are genuinely nice and seemingly happy people. I've had more good conversations and great meal for little of nothing. The weather is pretty good to all things considering...always hot and humid but that constant sea breeze makes it all okay. Yes, there are naked kids in dirty water and that dude with no shirt or shoes carrying a chicken, but all-in-all, the PI is a place I love to go back to.
  18. As a US citizen living abroad in Japan, there are thing about my own culture I cannot completely understand or accept. LOL
  19. I beg to disagree. I do understand that this my be my anecdotal experience. Nevertheless, I find that it is small in ways that one does not fully understand until one travels outside of what they have grown to know. We tend to find several similarities even through the diverseness of culture, regardless of where on the planet you may leave your footprints. This is not to say the there is not nuance and complexities. Rather, we find that our circles of friends and influence extend much further out than we could ever have imagined. The beauty of travel, even as a tourist is to take the opportunity to experience something foreign to you. I believe that everyone takes a piece of something back with them and that, in a small way helps to add to their own culture, understanding and place in the world as we know it. For those of us who have traveled and live as expats...we are just a bit jaded. Salty and opinionated. We have often lost the bright-eyed wonder and luster of what is new to us in the world. 🙂
  20. Try being in the Philippines and getting some iced tea without sugar. In fact, its all that powdered Lipton lemon stuff...horrible.
  21. Oh spit! I was in London in 2000! I did not know anything about the place and had to set up our office there. Ended up getting a Regus office near Green Park. I remember taking the Heathrow express to Paddington station. I had zero clues...got in the cue for the taxi...all of my luggage fit (amazing). The dude looked a little pissed...come to find out my hotel was a seabag drag away in those B&B style places off of Marble Arch.
  22. Yeah, that taxis are not cheap, that is for sure. I did luck out once when I first got there. A taxi driver noticed my very American accent and asked if I had been to London before. I told him "no" then he said that he needed to take a break, turned off the meter and gave me a driving tour. Down Marble Arch, past the palace, over to Green Park and SoHo. It was great.
  23. In IL we call that the north. My favorite line being, drive back to Illinois. I drove to WI once in the winter, and it was brutal. The further north I drove the lower the temperature got, the more dead deer caucuses I saw; laying on the side of the road, and I learned that people in Wisconsin have no clue what the left and right lanes are for. LOL
  24. Not here in Japan. You need to know about 2000 kanji to read a newspaper. Plus here, you need to also know hiragana and katakana. They still sprinkle a little of romaji there and about, just to mix it up a bit. :-). I think they got the sounds covered here and in China. Somehow my point that it was an English guy, a British dude who was my sales guy that was saying this. His ability to make fun of himself and his country was a valuable lesson. We all talk our individual cultures too seriously way too often. I can give you an ear full on US idiosyncrasies too. Being lucky enough to be born in the US and live in 3 countries and travel for work and pleasure to several others has been great, and maybe makes me a little cheeky about a few thangs too. But, I'm no grammar Nazi! LOL
