  1. I am having this same issue on every model now! Nothing works! I have even tried using the same model (the only thing different was that i changed the file name) into the med LOD and I got the material of model is not subset of reference model error. The same exact model! It's really frustrating me to wits end. Hopefully they fix this soon.
  2. Thank you for the very detailed reply, much appreciated. Does this technique work on a menu? I need the user to be able to call up a blue menu that has all of the color options available for them to choose from. Thank you again, that was way more than I expected.
  3. Thank you! I'll see if i can do anything with that, not really a scripter but I think i understand what you are saying. Thanks again!
  4. Hi, I need to find a texture changer that can change single faces of many objects that are NOT linked. So I believe it needs to call out by channel (I could be wrong) Does anyone know of a script available that can handle this? Thanks, Britt

  6. door linked to hinge (root).. then outer casing linked to that door/hinge linkset.. keeping the hinge as the root still = only hinge will rotate.
  7. (moving this from another topic as i just saw there was a texturing forum) I'm looking for a Texture Changer for faces that Is menu driven and can call in multiple texture images per menu item.. so say the menu has Bed Frame | Blankets | Pillow A | Pillow B User selects Bed Frame> Brown | White | Black Brown is selected The bed frame is made up of 3 texture images, so i need it to be able to call in UUIDs for each face grouped to that selection (Brown) Face 0 = UUID1 Face 1=UUID 2 Face 2=UUID3 Currently i can only find texture changers than can assign one UUID per selection, i can not fit all of the textures on one single image for this build. Does anyone know of something available? Thanks and Merry Christmas.

  9. No that doesn't work with any of the scripts I have so 'any' does not apply here. If I do this with the scripts i have, the hinge will swing, not the door linkset. However.. it does work if you don't have it linked to an fixed object.. I need this to be linked to the outer casing.. and when i do this with your suggested method.. only the hinge swings open, leaving the door linkset in place.
  10. Guys / Gals.. Thank you so much for all the comments here. (sorry Rolig, I know you pointed out I should of posted in a different forum, but look at the discussion I've opened up here ☺) I used door as an example... I'm creating a Murphy bed. I need the pillows and blankets to move with the casing (bed frame) in an up and down swing, pivoting from the bottom edge. Because it is furniture, and will be moved, rotated, positioned by the owner, I need it linked to the main outer casing on the unit. I want to be able to offer texture changing on all objects on the movable door.. this is why i'd rather they be linked objects. The swinging case (bed frame) requires 4 assigned textures on its own.. which leaves me 4 to play with for the blankets and pillows (this is where i may need to adjust my build plans as I believe I'm up to 6 on those now). I also need the texture changer to be able to identify which faces belong to each set of textures (frame has 4 textures assigned, probably arranged on 2-3 texture files). I do not understand LSL and I've reached out to a few door creators. Kool Mechanic was kind enough to have a lengthy conversation with me and he said he is going to try to tackle this in the next release of his door script.. sadly, not before my event though. Which is why I reached out to the forum. Again thanks for everyone's input and Merry Christmas!
  11. Hey Max, Thanks for the recommendations, I reached out to the creator of the Kool Door script with my needs to make sure it is something it can handle. Will post back here once he answers. (not that i don't believe you, it's just an expensive script and I want to be certain it will work. Otherwise, it will end up in the pile of door scripts I've already wasted money on 🤪)
  12. Hi Molly / Chic, the bigger issue preventing me from uploading the objects as a single object from blender is that i need all objects to be available for texture changing, independently. Having the door not linked to anything is not an option for me as this is for a piece of furniture that will be in an upcoming event (please note that this is not for a door, and it actually needs to swing on the x axis, upwards.. much like an oven door) The solution may not even be in the door script, but rather a texture changer. Which would bring up a question that probably needs its own thread and that would be a texture changing script that can handle a crap load of faces on one object.
  13. So that worked until i linked the linkset door to the frame. at that point, only the root prim swung open and it left the linked object in place.
  14. Thanks. But I'm not seeing what I'm looking for there. the door needs to have an object linked to it swing open with the door. Think of a ketchup bottle on the door shelf of a refrigerator door. Every script I have tried will leave the ketchup bottle in its original place while the door swings open. (Ketchup bottle is linked to door with script, linkset is then linked to hinge)
  15. Hello all, I'm looking for a script (or a way) to have a swinging linkset for a door (Not joined objects). Example: I have a door as an object and a handle as a separate object. I need to link them, then have them swing open or closed together. The only door scripts i've tried will not swing multiple linked objects, it only swings the primary object leaving all other objects in the linkset in its original place. Does anyone know of a door script that supports this? I don't want to waste more money on them only to find out it does not work. Thanks for your time! Britt
