This pretty much sums up how I feel right here. I'm not gonna lie I would intentionally break this law clean off if I lived in any of those states.
What are you going to do, start a company that makes computers you canât sell?

Yes, but enough of these studios also run render farms for CG effects and movies. Those aren't exactly energy friendly though there are ways to mitigate some of the energy usage.
From the explanations of the regulations, those systems would be exempt, wouldnât they?

It's just occurred to me that this decision could well drive the movie industry out of California. If anyone needs high-powered computers, it's movie production studios.
They can still get Mac Pros and Dell Precision workstations. Theyâll be okay.

See what now? The adult section?
What youâre talking about. I can see the adult section because I go through search, not the button.

Oh, never mind, I see now.

See, this is what I donât get because you can turn sleep/idle modes OFF. Itâs like, the first thing I do whenever I buy a new upgrade. So I donât understand the inability to ship to those states.
Probably because most people won't bother to change the default power settings. Why would they?

QuoteA mysterious marketing agency secretly offered to pay social media stars to spread disinformation about Covid-19 vaccines. Their plan failed when the influencers went public about the attempt to recruit them.

Mass hysteria is just the tip of a much larger iceberg that informs at least some aspects of Hanlon's Razor. My personal experience, both of my internal deliberations and of my interactions with others, is that incompetence is in greater supply than malice.
Malice or ignorance, at this point itâs a distinction without a difference.

Is this really the advice you give Mac users? Ignore malware warnings and force it? Do you realize how stupid that is? Is this really "word of God" advice from Linen Labs? Ignore security warnings and force it?
Itâs not a malware warning, itâs an unidentified developer warning, and bypassing it is literally what Apple says to do. Apple canât guarantee it hasnât been modified since it was released, but if youâre getting a program straight from the publisher, thatâs not a problem. If youâre getting it from sketchydownloads.ru, itâs a problem.

This is why I think an A.I. controlled world government is probably the best solution to govern humanity. Programmed to not be greedy or corrupt and programmed to be fair without prejudices. Tell me there is a better solution.

We're very happy with having the most expensive health care system in the industrialized world and getting the worst results.

Is there anyone stupid enough to conclude from such data that the vaccine itself somehow caused those infections?
I'm sure the usual suspects will not disappoint.

Holy *****. Can someone report this spreader of lies and deadly misinformation?
The only things to do are turn a thread into such a *****show that some unfortunate Linden has to lock it, or everyone ignore the idiots until they're starved for attention and go away.

the governments all did not want the common medicines to work, because then they could not release a vaccine without all the proper testing.......you might call this a conspiracy theory, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck......
A conspiracy theory would need to be several orders of magnitude less stupid.

We don't try and baby people who refuse to drive sober or without a seat belt.
I'm sure some idiot will try to explain the benefits of driving drunk without using a seatbelt now. Those idiots ought to be on everyone's ignore list now. I'm not sure how I missed the last one, but that's been taken care of.

If only we could get rid of those grinding regulations like the pure food and drug act, clean water act, child labor laws, anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, anti-harassment laws, workplace safety laws and all that other nonsense we could let the invisible hand guide us to that golden tomorrow where children could find fulfilling careers working in coal mines for slave wages and the businesses could call on the well regulated militia to bomb the ***** out of them if they tried any of that commie union crap.

This is basically saying that labour isn't worth much but the labourer should be paid more than that. I disagree, I think labour is valuable, and that if the government stopped interfering in the market, the market would reflect that fact.
That's delightfully naive.

I think it's a good thing that these billionaires are advancing technology for space travel. In the past billionaires just spent money on super yachts.
After thinking about this, with Bezos and Branson their rockets essentially are the new super yacht. They do nothing to advance technology and have no practical use. They're super expensive thrill rides for the obscenely rich.
SpaceX on the other hand is actually building rockets that to useful things very well. At least Musk got something right.
