  9. I was tempted to keep it but it's a sunny Sunday, so I felt generous and returned Abnor's Wallet which I found at Randelsham Forest.
  10. NatureCon 2022 is only 4 weeks away anymore! Over 50 contributors are working hard to prepare a collective event that includes natural spaces spread over 2 regions so you can enjoy many interesting sites and installations, as well as many event activities, for example live shows and concerts, speaker panels, and tours. The event will be hosted August 18 to 31, 2022. If you're curious about our team supporters, have a look at these posts about our Build team, and our Project team. We'll share more information about the many things that will await you soon 🙂 http://natureconsl.site/naturecon-2022-meet-the-build-team/ https://natureconsl.site/naturecon-2022-meet-the-project-team/
  11. At least 2 of them - Ruthenium and Osmium, to be precise - will have a little "revival" as in "being used" in August for the NatureCon 2022 event 😊
  12. I'm a bit confused about this statement. I myself went P+ and upgraded a tier level additionally because in the long run, I can actually save money while being able to hold more land on the Mainland to offer public spaces. If LL makes money off of my P+ upgrade while I can enjoy bringing some more nice spaces to the grid, I'll happily let them. As to the question where the best place to buy Mainland is: I'd say, it really depends on your personal interests. In my case, I would always look for spots that have an access to public road and/or water, and/or where it is close to an active stable community so I could somehow connect with them for the bigger goal. I found on all Mainland continents thriving and thrilling communities and places. If I could, I'd be everywhere
  13. I actually enjoy this bridge exactly for that challenge. Failed the first 2 or 3 times but nowadays, I can easily pass it with my Iwaki bus. I even once saw someone passing it flawlessly with a tank! 😮
  14. Back in the days when I still was involved in Roleplay communities, and when we didn't have display names yet, it was common practice to create a new account with a matching name depending on the RP you would like to join. I use those alts nowadays for various tests, and for land management / holding purposes.
  15. Website: http://natureconsl.site/ Press Release: http://natureconsl.site/press-release/ Event Information: http://natureconsl.site/contributor-information/ This is an event from the SL community for the SL community! NatureCon's mission is to inspire connections between related SL communities and organizations through a shared love of exploration and expressions of nature in SL. We hope to unite and inspire collaboration between Bellisseria and Mainland organizations under the shared goal of promoting exploration across the grid. NatureCon 2022 will be hosted from August 18 to 31 on our dedicated regions of Ruthenium and Osmium. While we have a huge group of collaborators already, we still have limited capacity available for last-minute-contributions for collaborators who would like to contribute with an installation. We are also looking to collaborate with social media partners (bloggers, vloggers, magazine owners), performers and musicians, tour hosts, and everyone else who’d like to offer a nature-related event or activity during NatureCon. Collaborators can contribute to the event in various ways (an excerpt; for inspiration): Booths sharing public community organizations, groups, and natural locations in SL Installations and demonstrations about nature, environmental protection, animal welfare & more Live artistic performances Speaker Panels featuring community organization leaders Workshops and offsite events celebrating nature, travel, and exploration Natural areas to connect and network Interviews, Articles, Posts, Videos about the event and/or the collaborators If you are interested in becoming a collaborator for our collective NatureCon 2022 event, please reach out to: Yukiko Yeshto for general contributions (installations, activities, speaker panels, workshops, performances, social media, greeters/hosts) Soull Starlight for booths Our whole team of collaborators is looking forward to welcoming you at NatureCon 2022 in just a few weeks! 🌿
  16. Greg told us also a bit about his project and how it came to life. If you want to read his story, have a look here: https://lastditch.typepad.com/bbbgazette/2022/06/sl19b-meet-the-team-gregs-bar-lounge-new-locations.html We are looking forward to see you at the Bar Train Tour, today at 12pm (Noon) SLT! 🥳
  17. BBB, CPCB, Embassies and the Vikings of Bjarkavik joined forces to offer a unique experience. Join us for a special tour today to collect stamps for your BBB/CPCB passports while experiencing the adventures of the Vikings as we sail the waters of Blake Sea and Nautilus on the hunt to plunder gold! There will also be two brand new passport stamps to collect along the route. Date: Saturday, May 14, 2022 Time: 1pm SLT Tour Length: approximately 2 hrs Meeting Point: Bjarkavik (Rungardvik Sailing Outpost) A few helpful hints: If you cannot join the tour in time, you're welcome to send me an IM so we can teleport you. Of course, you are welcome to prepare a Viking-inspired outfit for the full experience. Be aware though that Viking life means taking risks with a chance of great reward. There is always a realistic chance to fall overboard! So it is recommended to detach unnecessary attachments and scripts in order to avoid region crossing issues. If you haven't a passport yet, you can find all info about how to obtain one in the notecard provided in the event posters which you can find at Bjarkavik and the BBB Headquarter.
  18. BAY CITY opened its doors back in 2008 to offer the grid an "art deco" themed, American urban experience, and was created by the well-known Moles within the Linden Department of Public Works. For more than two decades, Bay City is not only a highlight on the grid but also a very active community until today. In celebration of the upcoming 14th anniversary on May 15, we visit Bay City to visit public historical sites and learn something about its diverse past. Meeting Time & Location Wednesday, May 11, 11am SLT @Bay City Fairgrounds Tour Length: ~1,5 Hours Requirements & Hints None, but it is highly recommended to strip down avatar complexity and scripts to avoid region crossing issues. We don't want you to end up being stuck at a region border 😁 You can always leave the tour earlier, or join at a later point. All you have to do for joining later, is to send me a message / TP request. The tour info HUD is also available at the following locations: Bellisserian Embassy Sansara Corsica Tourist Center Blisston Village
  19. @Alwin AlcottAgreed, the devil is in the details, as they say. We don't know if, for example, the tribute band is playing live and expects the stream being provided by location owners who invite them to play. This could shift the whole point of view. But whatever the actual circumstances are, that whole topic is complex. Safest way would be to perform your own music creations only (premised it doesn't need to be licensed if being under a label contract).
  20. Wait... so you are aware about all that and still gave a wrong advice to OP? Bruh...
  21. Unfortunately, it isn't that easy. As for tribute bands, it is usually the venue that has the responsibility to pay performance rights. Though I doubt that any club in SL ever does that. Of course, you can kinda expect the situation of "no plaintiff, no judge". But if it happens, being unaware won't protect from legal consequences. Another thing that is often forgotten: The original band has also the right to preserve its brand from being devalued by a tribute band. Thumb rule for using anything that someone else created: ask for permission.
  22. Daikoku celebrates the Cherry Blossom Season with a Car Meet on the mountain. Show off your themed car (full livery, accent color, sticker, etc.), or come by to admire other people's work. If you are a newcomer, this is a great possibility to say Hello to the community members, learn something about modding a drift car, or the upcoming Daikoku Drift Championship. Date/Time Slots: Saturday, March 26, 12pm SLT and 6pm SLT Location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/The Perfect Imperfection/44/128/85
  23. Good article! Maybe I oversaw it but if not: wanted to suggest adding info about this short cut that I find very helpful whenever I want to see the outlines of a parcel quickly, or want to be able to click the ground but without the hassle of having to derender objects manually: "Ctrl+Alt+Shift+9". Edit: Another thing that just crossed my mind is, maybe it would be helpful to mention how long it approximately takes for LL to react to tickets for buying abandoned land. From what I hear others telling, and my own experience, it oftentimes takes 24 hrs only until LL answers and sets it to be claimed. I remember only 1 case ever, where LL told me that I had to wait 7 days in case someone else claims an interest. And if so, that it would become an auction.
  24. I am not sure why you need to ask about that at all? I find the covenant pretty clear on that: "Activities and/or displaying items that could be construed by Linden Lab as political campaigning is not permitted in Bellisseria." It has always been said here multiple times that if we spot something that most likely should not be in Bellisseria, we shall just report it. The tools are there, why not using it? 🤷‍♀️
  25. They are indeed still available. However, I still have to update the latest ones but I can only do that next week the earliest due to RL circumstances. The HUDs are not available at the start locations of each tour, that would be really a lot to ask of each of the location owners But you can find them at the following locations: Bellisserian Embassy Sansara Blisston Village Corsica Tourist Center - CSC Enjoy exploring!
