    I don't make anything for either game. Most people who play them don't. I don't use mods by players in my games either.

    This is not true of two games I play. The Sims 4 and Starfield. The former is 9 years old and of course, Starfield is brand new.

    In the past LL would take it down on MP and the grid. Since then, LL has revised how they handle things possibly due to a change in the DMCA law. Still, there is the possibility that the take down will be both MP and grid. LL now claims that it now depends on what the claim contains. I'm not saying it gets trashed on the servers. I am saying access is denied until the case is settled either in court or out of court. Depending on the outcome, yes, it will be removed from sale both on the MP and inworld. That is the US federal law that LL must comply with.

    That's great and it works well on an individual level but that isn't the problem. If the main speaker is voice only (no "follow up" text) then those with hearing loss/deafness aren't going to hear everything said and likely miss something vital. Then they have to waste their time trying to find a transcript, putting them at a distinct disadvantage of not being able to keep up with the discussion and participate in it. If we can't keep up and can't participate there is no point in being there because we aren't getting the help we need.

    Peeve: People who do not take the deaf and those with hearing loss seriously when the deaf and hard of hearing are the ones being ostracized for the convenience of others. If they can accommodate those who are text impaired, they can accommodate those who are hearing impaired. There are no excuses for deliberately excluding the hearing impaired.

    In most cases, yes that is how DMCA works by law (17 U.S.C. § 512). Counter claim https://lindenlab.com/legal/intellectual-property-infringement-notification-policy LL can and does pick and choose what if anything remains on the servers including scripts that may break things other than the DMCA item by removing them. It doesn't do a damn bit of good to remove from sale DMCA items from the MP and NOT remove them from sale inworld.

    So GL Excelsior did create a new group after all. Good to know he kept his word on that. Hopefully he has kept his word otherwise.

    I seem to remember that at some point it came out that some/a few/one or two of the JLU were not only friendly with some griefers; they were the griefers in many cases. It's how they drummed up business to make themselves look "legitimate". Turns out they were just as bad as RedZone. They used RedZone knowing what it did.
