NextUP and other Gacha Replacements are still Gacha
Moondira replied to Zia Underwood's topic in General Discussion Forum
@Zia Underwood What do you think about gachas? -
Oh, an old monkees song.
-
No, it's some oldies song, maybe a Beatles one.
-
Some shades of gray earworm song keeps going through my mind now😥

Well what if a dear friend or relative was confined to a hospital bed, miserable, suffering, and no way to remedy their situation forever. And they begged you to Unplug Some life saving device that was keeping them alive. Would you do it? Would you break the law Because you love them? And didn't want them to suffer anymore?
-
Yeah but this is hypothetical. And what if nobody would buy food for you and your child and there was no way for you to get it? So here your child is starving, would you let them starve or would you steal some food for them?

What if your child was starving. Who would break the law to steal food for them?
-
What are we gonna do with you, lawless Luna?

Smoking: Influencing vs Programmability
Moondira replied to Nalates Urriah's topic in General Discussion Forum
So many interesting things the OP brought up really, that we could have discussed. Especially the part about how vulnerable we are to cultural influence. So many on this thread expressed how Personal choice is paramount and they would not be influenced by society. That's just not true, however. We are influenced in ways we're unaware of, and we have less choice then we typically imagine. -

I'll say it again, this thread is supposed to be about smoking and how it affects us in society. Both real life And second life. Are you saying we're not supposed to stay on topic now? -

You deserved it, due to how you treated those you disagreed with. Can't take what you dish out? -

I have every right to point out that this thread is way off topic via attacking Ayleeon. It's time to bring it back to what the OP intended. -

No you've searched far and wide to find something to demonize him over. I've seen this play out 1,000,000 times on forums. You don't like someone or what they said and so instead of dealing with that issue you pick apart things they said or wait until they make a mistake so you can go all out with this demonization. Like I said I can't believe how many times I've seen this play out. He's not Satan. Maybe he didn't communicate clearly Or compared things in ways we don't quite understand or approve of. But that's not the point of this discussion. The discussion needs to be about smoking. This is what was initiated by the OP. The deflection needs to stop. -

Now I do have some sympathy for the poor addicted smelly smokers. I see them hovering together out in the cold, cast away from the warmth In the building where others send critical glances their way. Once they reigned supreme bl,owing smoke into everyone's face wherever they went. But now their freedom has been restricted and others don't feel so kindly toward them. -

His views on smoking. That's what everybody found fault with. It's what began this whole fiasco. -

I wonder when we can get back to the topic, which is smoking and how it effects people in society. Including virtual worlds. I don't think Ayleeon is going to budge regarding his views on smoking, no matter what anybody comes up with to demonize him over. Of course we can continue on in this deflection. I think he might be a libertarian And I don't like that. He also mentioned something about the confederacy. What else can we come up with to blame him for? /sarcasm -

You didn't seem to understand why pedophelia is wrong. Other than being illegal. I'd like to hear your explanation. -

I had no idea that telling someone they're not comprehending the context of discussion is a reportable offense. I mean obviously if you don't know who Annie is then you're not seeing any context or what surrounds the statements he made. -

So you don't know who Annie is And so have no idea about the context of the discussion, Yet you are sure In your recognition of the patterns in these transactions? -

Scary isn't it, how they twist things around so they can demonize someone. -

I've seen it 1,000,000 times. It's a common pattern to use contrast in this way. Really, I am shocked at how you've twisted this around in the service of making him an enemy. Scary, really.
