  1. Even if you think they are not hiding any groups from you. You can always go through all your groups and look for their name in them. They cannot hide it from you unless the group creator has the user list hidden by default. Plus you will always show up as online in any group you are in. Something I wish they would remove. If set to show up as offline it should be for everything groups included. this would then break a lot of those online tracker devices.

If you are in a new relationship in SL and you have a house, Would require the person you are with to help pay the “rent”if they move in?

that totally depends upon you and them and what was agreed/negotiated too when they moved in with you. that would have to be discussed with the person or company that you rented the land from.

I wish to see update for ignore thing.Like never see that:"you choose to ignore content by ...".or how it was called, lol

maybe in the year 2030 that might come about. but I doubt it. since those posts remain there as placeholders to keep the thread integrity, so you might be stuck just having to scroll over that.

just because you cannot turn it off in the client doesn't make it uncheatable, there are ways to make it break. plus you could just log out and then into a non-rlv viewer. there is a fulltime rlv viewers yes, that cannot be turned off, but that is not permanent or inescapable nor can it really be made so. there is always a way out if needed.

true, you cannot be made to do anything against your will, but there are some people that try and make others think you can be through subtle or covert hypnosis methods. I have studied hypnosis for nearly 30 years off and on.

totally agree, which is why i put it there. but lots of people get fooled into believing those doms that make the claims its their right to act in such manners.

there are many groups and doms that claim having or using a safeword is cheating. safewords are a basic tenant of bdsm.

been told by a few would be dumbinants that was not allowed to have limits or have and use a safeword without their permission first or meant was not a true sub.

agree, should always discuss and negotiate the rules and the reasons why or why not its acceptable and when to ever log out of rlv, not a lot of people do though.

there are doms in some groups that say if you use a safeword or need one your trash and garbage as a sub/slave. i have encountered several before. hence why i posted it.

  5. Now to be back on topic..

    You can make rlv uncheatable/inescapable/permament..

you can use hypnosis to turn anyone into your sub or slave against their consent.

Dom/Masters have the right to ignore safewords or break limits without consent.

Dom/Masters have the right to say you cant have safewords or limits.

Dom/Masters have the right push limits without consent.

Having a safeword and ever using it is cheating.

Having limits makes you a bad sub or slave..

logging out of rlv is cheating..

safewording in the middle of a punishment or scene is cheating and sign of a bad sub or slave.

and the list could go on and on and on and on...

BD has a terrible UI, although you can customize it somewhat by customizing hotkeys and so on.

I know a lot of people who use it for photos -- including myself -- but I know literally no one who uses it as their "everyday" viewer. It's too clunky.

that was my problem with it. yes its good for photos and things similar but normal use.. nu uh.

I have used EEP in Black Dragon and did not see any noticeable drops in FPS that I can recall.  I have not used the Firestorm EEP or the official viewer however. Which viewer are you using Drakonadrgora? Do you normally run around with the advanced lighting settings on as well? When I go home today I might try the other viewers to see if I can recreate the drop. I too have an older machine.

I use FS not really used BD much. Tried it once, was not really a fan of ui in it as much as with FS. I normally have advanced lighting and occulent occlusion off. I normally have my settings on about mid and can get 25 fps, but on the fs eep viewer it drops to about 14-18.

If I have everything turned on it drops to just about 5 fps even with everything turned down. It only has built in video, no dedicated video card.

the question has already been answered by Linden in the EEP implementation. Our viewer will only use a estate, parcel or Experience environment when we enable: Use Shared Environment

well.. that changes things then for me. I might have to try the viewer more to see how it feels. just I could not find the shared setting before, since its now moved to the world tab, where before I believe it was in preferences.

it is true. Just have to login to the viewers (Linden standard and Firestorm EEP Beta) to see that it is as I described in first post

seems as if it does have the shared setting, but the big question is will it stop ek's from changing the setting. I dont like the idea that ek's could push changes against your choice.

the Firestorm EEP menu and debug settings are the same as the Linden viewer. Both viewers do the same things in the same way. They enable us to choose to control our viewer environment as we want it

not sure if that is true when it comes to eep.. especially since the eep viewer for fs is only a beta.

is best to have a play with a EEP-enabled viewer and you will find that it does what you want

with Linden viewer then menu: World \ Environment \ Use Shared Environment is by default enabled. When enabled then our environment will change according to the parcel EEP settings

to have a constant environment then same as before. Menu: World \ Environment \  Midday | Sunrise | etc.  When set to say Midday we can also modify this (change it up a bit) with menu World \ Environment \ Personal Lighting.  Or if we have created our own environment sets then menu: World \ Environment \ My Environments. When we do this then our viewer will not change to the parcel EEP settings

if we want our environment to persist across logins then is same as before also.  menu Advanced \ Show Debug Settings \ EnvironmentPersistAcrossLogin = TRUE

I use fire storm and in their current eep beta there does not seem to be a way to stop it unless I missed something. if there is I might give it another chance if not.. then no. I dont like apps that think they know what I want to do and make changes without my choice in it. i dont care what some sim/parcel owner thinks is cool for eep.. most of the time i just keep mine on mid-day all the time. I dont care for it or need it or want it to get dark or have weather or anything like that..

  12. Yep, so that is where word of mouth would come in and how well you could convince your friends to convert over to the different tpv, thus raising its use numbers and thus making other tpv developers realize if they want their users back, they better think on adding it too or loose users.

Unless it really only mattered to the one using it and they didnt care if others seen it correctly or not.
