I put a large platform in 2500 m height. The platform has 6 buttons. By clicking on one of the buttons a rezzer script starts and a complete Skybox with a lot of furniture rezzes automatically. I made it, to create different scenarios for my land (Living Room, Club, Roman Bath, etc.) and I am switching very often between those scenarios. The platform itself I am using to create my clothes and to build furniture. Using this solution for 2 month now, and never had a problem with building and with linking of objects, so i suggest you to try 2,500 m as height.

When I started in SL I was surprised how many people offered to help me (I guess, I was looking like a bit lost, lol). And those are the great moments of SL: to realize, that there are a lot friendly people around you. Thankful for the help I got as a noob, I am now trying my best, to help other „noobs“. So if you have questions, don‘t hesitate to IM me and ask me!

... and you should not wait too long, if you identify someone as a potential troublemaker: Make a hard cut and move those people to your „blocked“ list. Life is too short to waste your time with false friends.

Yeah, this was my experience, too. I only have 8 GB RAM on my iMac and SL always slow down dramatically on overcrowded sims. Till I get more RAM, I made good experiences with closing all other programs while I am playing SL (also the apps which are running in background). And from time to time I am using a RAM cleaner to make space. Since I did this workaround, the performance of SL is much better than before ....

Congrats! 🙂 It took a lot of effort and tears till I got a houseboat some weeks ago ... and I am still happy ... Enjoy!
