But this is what I don't get then...if you don't want to have sex in the yards of Bellisseria then why do you even NEED an adult version? It's perfectly ok to have Sex, orgy's whatever you want inside your Linden home currently.  What IS it that you are wanting to do that can't be done currently in a Linden neighborhood?

Years ago, not long after  I first discovered SL, I took a romp on the wild side, & learned many new things I'd never dreamed existed.  So I can imagine what could be done in an adult region.  How about a yard sale for those excess slaves & toys?  Or a capture me naked maze? Lol   Not my style, but the people I talked to were perfectly normal, decent folks.   Difficult to create now, I understand, but maybe in the future there could be separate regions with beautiful landscaping, 1024 plots, maybe with SL houses, or space to use your own?  ( I do like the name Pornosserria  😄)     But we could do without the names -"prude"  etcetera.

edit:  on that subject, do people really need to get upset over adult pictures, furniture, activity, etc. inside someones house in Belli?  Why are you looking??   Just admire the flowers.  😉

  2. I had a houseboat for awhile, but didn't like being so close to my neighbors you could almost shake hands thru the windows 😆  But last night I watched a travel video & saw some great houseboats. They really are that close, irl.  The attraction for me, would be if you could take your house out for a spin  (& one of the houseboats did just that.  Rent was, if I remember right, $50 thousand a night.) It was like a palace.

  3. You couldn't place a single flower outside your parcel (in with the LL flowers) because the root prim has to be on your own land (I think).  I've  read about a walkway extending into  a pond bordering someones parcel, that LL did remove.  I once came into my houseboat to find my neighbor had put in a big boat that extended way into my water--I sent it home to her 😁

I will put my vote towards being connected in a non-fantastical way to everywhere else. I'd like to be able to fly/swim from there and be able to reach the other connected bits without having to teleport. It could still be placed away from the realistic homes if that's wanted, but it could be away and connected to a mainland continent by sea. After all the work so far in connecting everywhere, it'd be a step backwards to make it a teleport-only area. A sea connection wouldn't stop them putting portals in the woods as an extra.

If the fantasy region is reachable by ocean, one cool way to avoid an overly-fantastical transition, would be to do a boat ride as in the book The Mists of Avalon (a book I loved!) Like the title, there was a very thick mist in a certain area--if the sailor was human, they just passed thru it & got to a normal island. But a druid could find the route thru the mist & reach their island.  Perfectly safe & hidden from human eyes! 😄

  5. One of my alts is an Elf, so these houses would be perfect for her 😉   To offset the smaller rooms, I might have to make her shorter.  Its a really beautiful area,  the moles are getting better & better with every theme that comes out.  Kind of hard on my computer tho.

I can't find this anywhere in the shop. Hopefully, someone will give me a clue 😛

I finally found it.  The site is unbelievably laggy, I had to wait about 10 minutes for signs to clear enough to read.  (There isn't any indication in the notice about where to find it)

From the landing point, and facing the water, go left on the walkway all the  way down to the board wall.  Its a sign on the right side of the wall.

Not one of ours.    If it's anything to do with the new Linden Homes, it's going to be SSP* until we rename it, which doesn't happen until everything has passed QA and is ready for release, which means well after the theme has been announced.

Also, as Evangeline suggests, if it was in any way connected with an unreleased LDPW theme you wouldn't have been able to TP there without an LDPW group tag.

Oh well, I could wish.  I didn't try to tp there, I was on my way to something else when I noticed it.  In the meantime, I'm enjoying my cute little chalet . 😊

  8. Hey, I was just looking around the Map search  (wanted a picture of the old Meadowbrook), & came across a region "Meadowbrooke" unnamed parcel 128,128,0.  Is that maybe a suggestion of a new theme similar to the old style sleek houses??   😲

Compulsion, they are kind of hard to find in world but have a link to their SL store on their marketplace listings

I found the inworld store at  Overdrive Island (39, 126, 26)  They also have Solaire, $2800L & 162Li, which looks a lot like one of the Meadowbrook houses

  10. In a related topic (I hope I'm not hijacking here) has anyone else lost track of a favorite past alt?  Or do you still have your original alt when you first discovered Second Life?  We all were probably very different people that long ago.  I feel so sad that I don't have, & can't find any trace of Whimsy Thirdborn, whom I inhabited unknown years ago. She/I was an Elf, just a starter avatar, & I loved the "duck walk" that people so disdained.  We lived in one of the Elder Glen houses.  It was an incredible thrill to just watch her/me walk along flowered paths, run, & even fly!  (talk about split personality haha)

  11. My Trad, Vic & Log were all called Monadnock, cause I grew up near Mount Monadnock  so its nostalgic.  The camper is called Journeys End, (I thought that would be my final home)  but I don't remember what I called the houseboat.

  12. Wonderful topic, Anidusa, and what thoughtful replies!  I've created different alts over the years, to play out different aspects of my personality, but i am each of them.  Its only in SL that I can express those differences.  If I acted as Jessie or Freedom in real life, my friends would start to worry "Is she getting senile?!"  Jess is young & carefree, a stylish city girl.  Freedom is a basic & hunts zombies.  Gina (most like me) loves the country & is more subdued.  I've spent money on most of them, as I'm vain & like to look good. 😄   But I leave the oldest (I think) in a very early face/body, cause she's so darned cute.  She just wanders the forest in Rosehaven & listens to music.

I've tried all the different house styles, but decorated each according to my own preferences, different only according to the setting.  Gina has the inventory, & does the decorating for the others.  I've spent way to much on furnishings and mostly with suggestions from people here in the forums.

I think people are like jewels, multi-faceted.  Its only in SL that we get to express them all.

I would say that it is you that made a fool of yourself in your assumptions, since the way that I did the quoting specifically showed what my comments applied to.

I was very careful in my quotes and my comments per quote.

The sock puppet comment was directly below this quote in my post (NOT below the quote of your post):

    image.png.2de76ba8ef450bf96f1b7e57fb53bbcd.png

Therefore referring to that person - which is why I quoted the person.  And it was based on this forum profile:

    image.png.762ce7e25995325822bb69fa6d7418e2.png

The person that popped in to make that single positive comment and has not made another forum post since.

I recognized you were suspecting Siell Karu was an alt.  Who were you implying they were an alt of?

The first quote that you show there is my comment also --- because my original nice polite suggestion was met with:

"In regards the suggestion, I'll politely reject it.
    Best regards"

While the person might have used the word "politely" in their response, it truly seemed a bit more sarcastic and dismissive.

Hmmm, first and only post by a newbie that defends the OP.   Yeah, that screams sock puppet alt if I ever saw one.

If that sock puppet jab is directed at me, you're mistaken.  I have 3 alts that are very different from my main, and none of them are connected to Bellessaria.  You make a fool of yourself by making assumptions.

I'm surprised at some of the people who gave that a thumbs up.

Lil's polite suggestion was treated dismissively by the OP, so I don't think she can complain about any reactions she got after that. In fact, she's not complaining; YOU are. I'm sure she's fully able to defend herself and doesn't need a white knight.

You know, some might think that lecturing others like a schoolmarm is not really any more polite than posting "belittling" replies.

I'm not defending anyone, I'm stating my reaction to the mean spirited tone that shows up so often here. Why take it down that road?  And calling me schoolmarm isn't really a defense of the attitude.

I guess its lecturing only when you disagree with it?

    What @iBrat said.

You know, just because someone feels their photos are so special that they merit their own dedicated thread (rather than use the two existing threads that everyone else has used for a year now),  doesn't mean it should be done. What if we all did the same thing and totally clogged up the forums? Now THAT would be sad.

"So you figure you are so special or have done a so much better job of decorating that you need your own thread for it?"

"So... I guess we should ALL start our own separate threads to show off our own special homes? 🙄"

There really is a much better way to express an opinion, than trying to belittle someone.   LittleMe Jewel's original comment was a good example, but some later responses turned nasty, unfortunately.

What magic method do you expect them to use?

A forum that only about 100 people read?

A blog that only half or less of the forum users read?

An inworld group that is inside the actual platform in question that over 4000 people read?

Magical telepathy that can reach everyone?

We really need a response emoji for "snarky"

  18. I really like the location of the cabins, lots of interesting trees & flowers, bushes etc.  But touring the (very posh) cabins, I'm puzzled over how to furnish them.  I look first for a nice kitchen, & like it to have a door to the outside.  Couldn't decide where to put it.  All the styles are great, but a couple are really beautiful, & particularly like the big windows.  One has a window seat upstairs.   I'd get used to the layout, I'm sure, but just not that tempted.  I love the Victorian I didn't expect to like at all, & still in love with the camper locale.

  19. Thank you so much, Chic.  After pulling out most of my hair, I think I'm back to normal.  I agree, Google is my friend, just have to know the right search words ;-).  Update, not so much.

(note to self:  make sure not to misspell words when backing up)

  20. I apologize if this is the wrong place to post, but I've never had this sort of problem before.  Chrome did as update yesterday, and today when I tried to open Firestorm, I get the message "We were unable to decode the file storing your saved login credentials.  At this point saving or deleting credentials will erase all those that were previously stored. Restarting the viewer with previous network configuration may help recover your saved login credentials."    I do have a saved settings backup, & know my logins, but I don't want to make this worse & really have no idea what that message is telling me to do.  Advice please 🥺

  21. I've tried several cars, but I'm a terrible driver (I apologize if I destroyed your hedges!)  I do best, & like best, a wearable bicycle.  I also have a nice wearable shopping cart with good animations for "running" 😄   I'd love to get a horse some day, but the good ones are expensive.  I want a chic motorcycle for my alt, who is very stylish in black leather pants & jacket.  Don't know what kind of driver she will be haha. (she's blonde, so much smarter than me)
