  1. Thanks for your input!! I wasn't into fashion or paying attention to it through that era so I never thought of it like that, but now that I think about it, it does make sense! Some celebrities just make it look so cool sometimes XD Gotcha, thank you!! I do agree under boobs look a little uncomfortable
  2. Welcome to Jessica's eternal hell of indecisiveness... thought I'd just continue this thread as I don't think it'd be appropriate of me to keep making new threads every time I have a fashion dilemma! Anyways, if anyone reads this, which version of this outfit do you like better?!
  3. Today I'm pretending to model for an artsy magazine
  4. Just tried this out, this is amazing! Thank you so much!
  5. Hope I'm posting in the right place! I'm trying to make clothes but the UV mapping is really frustrating me. Here's my issue: When I started I was dumb and used a lot of triangles. The UV map turned out like this: I looked up the issue and people were saying to use follow active quads. So I turned everything into quads but now it's even more *****ed up. I picked a quad, did lightmap pack, and then follow active quads. How to fix this mess? After second method: What am I doing wrong?
  6. Thanks, I guess it's my ignorance that people find laughable XD but it's ok. I didn't pay enough attention in 3D modeling class to remember a lot of the terminologies. Thank you both for your advice!
  7. That hair looks great on you! Something I do when I wear hairstyles like these to avoid the schoolgirl look is throw on some hoop earrings, seems you've done it already!
  8. Personally, I think this is way too tight looking, but there's this: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Raven-Soft-Thighs-Maitreya/23704080
  9. I'm too shy to ask her myself, and I know a lot of girls hate it when people ask for their skin/makeup. Her flickr name is Kissache btw, her pics are so cute and so is her avi! EDIT: the skin is MUDSKIN's Jen, and the eyes are totally different, meaning that she's got eyeshadow on
  10. That's a little frustrating : ( not the application itself, but the store requirement... Does that mean I can't create clothes for myself if I use Maitreya?
  11. Say I want to make something like this dress below. Most clothing creators I've seen would make the mesh using MD to Zbrush to Substance painter, but seeing their results it seems to work best on things with busy patterns to distract from the unrealistic shading, or simple forms so that shading realistically would be easier. However for something with complex folds and ruffles like this, how would you approach it? Sculpt out every single fold and texture using SP, or use a photo to texture?
  12. That's the complete opposite of me! I tend to prefer faded denim, it just gives me that denim feel, but I still love all shades of denim XD
  13. Hope it's alright to start a thread here, I didn't want to clutter up the daily selfie thread XD (also thanks to everyone who gave me advice) I've been eyeing these skirts and thought they would work perfectly with a top I already own. Which shade of denim would work best? other colors available
  14. That is insanely good!! Btw, what hair are you wearing, it's so detailed but it doesn't look like DOUX 👀
  15. Got to try BD for the first time today, it's soooooo good
  16. What is this outfit missing? 🤔 I can't help but feel it can be improved upon Anyways, which variation is better?
  17. What body do you use? I also prefer natural leaning proportions, and Maitreya is perfect. I'm pretty sure every creator makes things for Maitreya. As for non-skimpy clothing, I feel you. I love sexy clothes like miniskirts, but I like to look realistic and if my skirt is riding up so much that my whole behind is showing it's quite off putting. Finding a skirt with the perfect length is so hard >< the asian clothing stores have skirts that are way too long, and all the other creators have skirts so short I can only see it as lingerie- roleplay-costume skirts.
  18. THANK YOU Am not a creator but personally I, as a consumer, find it difficult to find things in my inventory when they're named things like "Brianna". I get that it's hard to repeat names, but when small creators name their products random names unrelated to the product, it makes it hard to search for on the marketplace and inventory. Again, I'm not a creator but if I were one, I'd name my products a mix of the description and feel. For example, "spring puff sleeve dress" or "extravagance silk gown" if that makes sense
  19. I know exactly what hair!! The ponytail and bangs are by VCO, but separate In the ad it seems there is another set of bangs layered on, and though it may not seem like it, it's probably these: The bangs and the longer "side pieces" are actually separate, and when you edit C's fringes shorter, it kinda looks like the thicker layer of bangs in the ad.
  20. Omg yes!! I'm in love with so many of these, I think the pixicat ones are my favorite ❤️ THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You're a life saver XD time to go spend my lindens
  21. Update:Cloe straight up removed the dress from their store 😥
