  1. Been playing with Faceapp for a couple of weeks. This pic is modified from an original selfie but this time without deducting too much age........
  2. Happy to help. I don't charge. SLT+8. UK. Username BelindaN. In world later Wednesday.
  3. Big Beautiful Doll Shirley............ Second Life Marketplace - SHIRLEY Lingerie RED Maitreya Lara Lingerie Maitreya Lingerie Maitreya Bra Maitreya Panties Belleza Freya Lingerie Lace
  4. Model makeover time. I'm SO easily addicted to stuff....
  5. So, Step 1, take a selfie. Step 2 take 30 years off.(coughs). Step 3. Upgrade with a few nips & tucks. I was so pleased with this result I had to show it here. And now I'm gonna use it on my avi.
  6. Also look at editing your brow settings. Go to brows on your outfit/wearing list. Right click. Edit. Click the brow tab and play. Leave the other tabs alone.
  7. My first Alt. Used as my volunteer to test out new heads. Three months ago I was working on an upgrade and demo'd the Lelutka Siwa head. Yesterday I decided to take the plunge, and replace Salty's Avalon head. This shape is close to her Avalon slider numbers but with a few artistic tweaks. It really doesn't take much to make a difference, and it is still obviously Salty. The skin, which is crucial to any look is Deetalez Alexa, with extras. Session body moles. Doux Alori Hair.
  8. Well, new friends appear after chatting and chatting occurs in a social setting. That for me is either dancing at a club, or, (coughs), hanging out at more specialised venues. You gotta find some places you like, and keep going back, and chatting in local, and direct IM if something about an avi catches your eye. Wanting to spend time with someone isn't easy with so many attractions in SL. If you're really lucky, magic can happen, but it can also evaporate just as fast. My best friends in SL are the ones I rarely see in world but talk to every day on Discord. But knowing they have my back and would come over at any time in world keeps me sane.
  9. The good news is that mid TP crashes are rare now. I get one or two a week. But more common now is that when I land, I'm often a pair if eyes, and a ring or two. A forced rebake instantly restores me, but it happens multiple times a week. Then on Tuesday, don't know what I clicked, but everything in my delivered folder added to my avi, and stripped everything off. It took a while to detach a load of stuff. A relog didn't fix it, even though nothing was saved. Just saying!
  10. I'm only coming up to five years, and some of my favourite places have vanished. Clubs vanish suddenly. Even popular beaches vanish. Photo sims vanish. Let's face it, running a location is expensive. People come and go. Many on my friends list are hardly on when I am. People are fickle. Venues will only survive if people go. And a lot of places are deserted. I miss Franks in particular. The original. The ViP Frank's (big group charge) I haven't joined because every time I drop by its empty. It takes a bit of commitment to explore successfully!
  11. Mother Road. Amitie V Moto scooter at Anthem
  12. Changing heads is expensive. My first decent head was an old Lelu, way back, but I liked Genus better. I was influenced on the forum in that respect. So Genus it was for a Loooong Time. I tried Catwas back then as demos but never managed "my look". I would have stayed with Genus "forever" but was influenced into demoing a new Lelu which I liked a lot. Over time my alts got Lelus, some got the freebies, and I switched to BoM, and EvoX, with all the cosmetics. So for me, it has been a slow and expensive journey and I'm not likely to buy a new head anytime soon. I might demo a Catwa or a new Genus, but right now I have nothing planned.
  13. I haven't been involved in VAT for a while, but be in no doubt of the complexity of this system. Goods and services are treated differently. Place of supply of services is complex. Consider making a supply of computer services internationally down a phone line. Inside or outside the EU also impacts on the liability. The law determines what are goods and what are services, and the grey areas get resolved at tribunal. Companies also have a designated principal place of business, but can set up a satellite operation overseas. In some cases based on turnover this is mandatory. Working in this area can be challenging so don't expect to get a clear picture easily.
  14. I take pics for myself. I'm self indulgent. I don't worry too much about likes here, it's a small group. To get recognition on flickr takes some serious effort but also time served. Groups matter. Followers matter. Numbers you follow matter. Comments you make matter. The whole thing hangs on all of this. Somehow I made decent number of followers but I still don't really understand why. Nor do I understand the number of likes, which vary depending on the shot. Like solo, portrait, group etc will all throw up a difference. If I can pull 100 likes on flickr, I'm doing OK, but it's not why I take SL photos. I just enjoy taking photos!
  15. Drama comes out of the sun. When you least expect it. Defriend someone who seemed to be normal, and they turn green and hurl insults like they know stuff.
  16. Little Fox Babe Bodysuit. Anthem Event. [RnR] Ballet pose Pointe 1: <a href="https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/RnR-Ballet-Pose-Pointe-1/23172083" rel="noreferrer nofollow">marketplace.secondlife.com/p/RnR-Ballet-Pose-Pointe-1/231...</a>
  17. Well Roxie, your achievement is worthy of an award, but I doubt LL will value such staying power! In many ways I envy the fact that you were here at the start, and have witnessed such changes over that time frame. I'm not even at five years yet, and didn't expect to stay, and yet the flawed beauty of SL, along with a small number of selfless mentors made sure I could not escape. Congratulations 🎊
