The thing is, my timezone isn't compatible with a specific 24hour period where a store owner might reside. So it might be Sunday 'there' but it might be Monday 'here'. And in RL I can buy on line 24/7, so I just don't understand why a store in SL, a virtual world, would do that, when transactions by and large are automated. It doesn't bother me at all, I just don't get why.

Well.... Very early on I'd just rezzed at Miami Beach. I was a fairly basic (but cute!) avi. As I walked away from the tp location, a simple system avi guy said "I like your style". It was clear that he had said the first thing that came into his head to get my attention, so I cut him some slack and we chatted. It turned out he was new like me and we got on really well. He was my first guy friend and one of my very earliest friends. Over the next six weeks we chatted, we explored, we danced and we cuddled. It was all very innocent fun. Then he was gone.

In my ceaseless quest to build the Forum Angels franchise (haha!), I dropped in earlier today to see Laika, and to chat for a while. It's really lovely there!

Well.................. I just look at what other people do on here, and it's all much more involved and complex than my SL life. The artistry, the creativity and the involvement in groups and activities is waaay more that I'll probably ever do. And the intensity of some of the posters sometimes takes my breath away! I just float along, shopping, and making outfits, chatting and dancing. It's all very low key, but so much fun. Yeah I think you have a point about friends and contacts. It's a bit blurry. I have different levels of friends, and not all are in my friends list, especially forum people, because this world exists outside the in-world world. I'm not sure I've ever consciously chosen a friend, it has just happened over time with my very closest friends. It's all very relaxing and enjoyable, which is what brought me here in the first place!

My experiences of guys here sort of lines up with Scyllas OP. Maybe its the type of guys who find me... (I don't usually go hunting). Most of my friends are female avis and generally speaking are more fun, and much better at IM chat........which is why I'm here. But I'll dance with anybody, because I enjoy the experience. As I've said before, I have quite a shallow SL life, but boy is it fun!
