  1. PURGE HANGOUT & ROLEPLAY PURGE Hangout & RP is a custom combat RP sim, with the addition of a Voice Hangout. We are currently looking for a semi-experienced LSL Scripter, who would like to voluntarily join our team and help out creating an already well established RP system for our community. Our sim currently has between 15k and 20,000+ traffic daily, and we have 4 split areas of the sim that will be fully functional for use within the RP aspect, aside from the main Hangout area WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We need someone to work alongside PURGE's Lead Scripter, to accomplish updates and new implementations to our current system using Raycast. You will need to be able to work at a reasonable pace on projects in and around the main purpose of PURGE. But also some side projects too.   3. Perhaps, i'll give it a try. Otherwise, i'll just leave build on. I have an RP sim, and it isn't necessary right now for everyone to be having rez rights until more scripting is done. But either way they're gonna need it.
  4. yes the land is deeded to a group, and im the same Qie. I have no idea as to why it won't allow rezzing unless the Owner of the object is online
  5. Hello all! So i have recently come into an issue with some games like Hand and Foot, and some vehicles from SCP. it is my understanding that if "EVERYONE" is checked under Parcel Details for "BUILD" then quite obviously, everyone can build. And if it's set to "GROUP" then anyone with the relevant group can build. However if both of those are un-checked. Then the powers that are granted in roles of that specific group, kick in and that is what decides who gets rez rights. Now my problem is, that it seems if BUILD is ON for the Land... then everything seems to work fine. However if that is turned OFF... then the games and vehicles seem to just sit in a "deer in headlights" state. And don't know what to do. Games cannot give out HUDS to play, and the vehicles cannot be driven by anyone UNLESS FOR BOTH, the Owner is online.... Extremely confusing since the whole idea behind the group is to restrict those rights to specific people.. So! my question is, does anybody know of a resolution to this issue.   6. Once again thanks everyone for responding further! I've been at work so it's taken a while to reply sorry about that. Xiija I have tested out the script that you provided on the wheel and it works very well! i did notice however that unless i click it after it has completed it's random revolutions, it will continue to re-spin. BUT!, i actually really like this!! it means that everyone who is involved can try to select their OWN artist dependant on the colour they know it is on. The chances of them clicking at the exact right time, i would imagine is pretty hard to do, so thank you very much!!! <3 I have just realised something that might possibly be considered a bug?? im not sure... but after screen sharing with my girlfriend in SL, it seems that the texture is not appearing in the same place as we are seeing on our own screens Any ideas on this?? And just one other thing, what part of the script would i need to edit Xiija, to have the wheel spin in the opposite direction? Ignore this part, i just turned the wheel 180 degrees and it works Thanks so much for your help so far!!
  7. First of all thank you SO much for replying with your advice so far, all of you... To reply to Xiija, i think your understanding of what i'm looking for is a script that would land on the very specific centre of a colour on the wheel. But i'm not. Just like in real life if someone was to spin the wheel, there would be no telling where it would stop at all. It would be completely random, and may even land of the line between two of the colours. (By the way the coloured sections will soon have the names of singers and songs) I'm simply just looking for a script that will rotate for X amount of seconds and then eventually come to a halt. I suppose the main part of that is I want it to be completely random in what amount of seconds is chosen so that it would be rare to land on the same two that have been chosen previously. To make it even less likely to land on the same 2 (just like a Roulette wheel) i chose to have them spin in opposite directions (i'm not sure if Mathematically that makes a difference, but for visuals it would look kinda trippy and cool) To Berksey, I think perhaps the same as above might apply to the 10-degree idea. Since really all I want it a simplistic random wheel spin. And for sure! i'll update the post with a gif image if possible, or you may even come over and take a look yourself if you like.   8. I have this error too, funny thing is EVERY TIME i have tried to log in to the Beta Grid, it does this. If the option is there for us to use it, then why the hell do we have to contact customer support just to have this work (i say that from reading other posts about the issue) so annoying
  9. Hey all! i'm in need of some assistance. So i've built a Mesh "Musical Impressions" wheel for a Karaoke scenario in SL, and what i'm looking for is a script that can rotate two separate wheels on touch, that will then slowly come to a stop after a random amount of seconds between 1 and maybe 10. I'm not a scripter and so don't have the first clue about how to do this. I'll link a picture to give an idea of what it looks like. There is an outer wheel and an inner wheel, that as i said, need to rotate in opposite directions. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated
