Germany had superior technology and machinery but no oil to power any of it. That is why Hitler invaded the Soviet Union in order to capture the Russian oil supplies. It's because of this that early on in the war Germany fought an offensive blisteringly quick 'Blitzkrieg' war mobilizing mechanized infantry and then switched to a more defensive infantry / horse drawn fighting later in the war. Simply put the oil had ran out to support such an offensive and Germany had failed to capture vital oil depots. Had Hitler been successful in the early campaigns in the East, it's likely Russia would have dropped out of the war and he would have been able to focus his attention on Britain. With Europe conquered, there would have probably been a cold war between the Axis and the US with proxy wars fought over the globe.

So to give people a better idea. This is an example of what would be displayed at the front of a classroom on a large screen. While this is what the students would see on their mobile devices in real life.

To clarify, the website is one I use in RL in my classrooms. The kids only need to look at the screen as that is where the questions are displayed. They then use a device (an Ipad) such as a mobile to input their answers. The screen at the front displays their scores etc. I want to be able to stream the questions into SL and then people can be looking at their monitors and looking at the screen in world whilst holding their mobiles to play. Basically I want to make my SL class more fun and interactive.

I was hoping someone among you good people could help me! I was hoping to be able to set up a live stream of an educational website that I could then play in SL for my students to watch and was wondering how I would go about achieving it? Basically I want to live stream an interactive website which would be projected in world. My students could then join the lesson on their mobiles / cells / tablets etc and watch the results of their actions on the stream. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hence the part where I say it's their land their rules. Please re-read my post. I don't have a problem with people who understand the TOS and have made that informed decision.

I have a nine-year-old boy Tweenster avatar, and as other posters have said, child avatars are permitted in all areas of SL so long as the player behind the keyboard is eighteen years old or older. However, I feel the need to clear up what is meant by adult activities as some people become confused. It means sex or furniture with sexual animations. Not blood, not violence, not profanity, not gambling or drugs etc. The RP sim Crack Den is a great example of this. They allow child/teen avatars on their Adult Rated sim but not in their red zone where there is sex and nudity. It gets frustrating when people flat out ban child avatars when they don't understand the TOS. Sure, if you understand the TOS and still want to keep kids away, then that's your purogative as a sim owner - your land your rules - but it's the people that are misinformed or confused that frustrate me.

The Tweenster avatar is a very good avi to use for children aged between 8-15. It is very popular, comes omega compatible out of the box and there are lots of clothes, skins, shapes and mesh heads that work well with it. The community is very nice and supportive too.

We live in Elven Quest (an elven centred Lord of the Rings RP sim). We've been there a little while now so I've heavily redecorated the manor and fitted it out with an entirely new colour scheme and much more high quality furnisher and trimings. I absolutely love the place! Here it is from the front. From the west side you can see the supply boat and crane and how provisions arrive at the stately home. Also in shot is the washing area and our pond for our pet ducks Lola and Luka. From the west side of the property you can see the forge, study area, patio (with fire) and the entrance to the guest bedroom which is located outside the main building itself. A closer angle of this. Inside the guest bedroom. Inside the manor looking into the kitchen and sitting area beyond. The opposite angle looking into the dining / recieving room area. I like to shop on Marketplace for most things and will add items to my favourites to view / consider later. I always try demos first though before buying. If I really like a store I'll visit it in world to see if they have any items not listed on Marketplace or if they offer any nice freebies / gifts. Honestly, the only time I really go to in world stores for specific items though is if I'm purchasing something big like a house or a vehicle that I actually want to see in world first.

I get this too on my 9 year old Tweenster boy avatar, only I don't just ignore but block and AR them too. They know if they said that in real life they'd be lynched but apparently because it's SL and there are no consequences it's okay.....

I got some new awesome looking armour from Noble Creations for Lord Alyan and replaced the lion signia on the tabbard for an elven one befitting of his high social status. And here's Eleyond frolicking and having fun in the water with the ducks.

I do most of my shopping on Market Place and go through a process before purchasing. 1. I look at the pictures. If there aren't enough or they're low quality (particularly no inside shots of houses) then I move onto something else. 2. Then I look at the demo and decide whether I'm satisfied or not; primarily I'm looking for fit but also the colours and textures. Demos where you can test product features and change the texture colours go down the best. If there is no demo then I don't even consider buying. 3. If I'm happy with the demo I'll then consider the price, weigh up whether it's good value for money or whether I really want or need it. If it passes all 3 then I buy it.

We recently moved to a Lord of the Rings Elven RP sim focused on the first 7 Chapters of the Silmarillion, so I've been getting our Elven manor decorated. Since we're high status elves with wealth and respect I've gone for a very high quality finish. Me standing out front. I added curtains to the house to give it a more homely feel. The Recieving / dining room Looking into the kitchen and the sitting room beyond. Looking the opposite way with a view onto the stairs and into the sleeping quarters. The sitting room. And finally the bedroom.

I'm currently roleplaying as a Noldor elven boy in a Lord of the Rings RP sim and having lots of fun. I use the Tweenster Mesh body, Catwa Steffi female mesh head, Toby shape, Ashton skin and black hair from barberyumyum.

I've not been in SL as long as some of you so I suspect the change won't be as drastic. If anything I think it shows how much better I've gotten at photograpy in that time. Still, my avatar definitely does look better and I've since upgraded to a mesh head (Catwa Steffi), which really makes my eyes pop. For those who are interested I use the Tweenster avatar.

I recently found a Lord of the Rings sim and have been enjoying roleplaying there. We're elves on an adventure! I'm the one with the harp!

I play as a 10 year old boy with the Tweenster avatar and stick to kid friendly sims. The vast majority of people in SL are awesome but I have encountered the occasional sicko who wants to engage in adult activities or send inappropriate IMs. Always men. They're immediately blocked and AR'ed.

My new year's resolution is to budget more on SL. I'm only a year in and at first it was so exciting to purchase expensive mesh bodies, mesh heads, hair, skins. Shapes, clothing, houses, furniture, tier and cars etc but the money quickly racks up, especially the small ones where you think it's only L$400..... I now only spend what I get from Linden Realms which is enough to cover a small 250 prim dome and some pocket money. I now value lindens way more since L$400 is enough to pay tier for a week with pocket money leftover for shopping. You really do have to be careful.
