  1. But you do SL has a setting to set your home to a placee you want to set as home. I hope you weren't being sarcastic there and I just got snippy with you. Lol
  2. I mean I usually and I know I am quoting myself. Lol. I usually set it so only a meter around the house is protected from intruders with the 0-second rule. The rest of the land is okay to explore, it doesn't impede someone's use of air travel or travel by sea. So if you are trying to get into my house, good luck. Heck, I will be even kinder and tell people if you come into a meter of my house, you will be sent straight home.
  3. Again I think I stated it well. I think people are free to do what they want, with the items they buy. So if I buy an orb to protect my property, I am free to do with it what I want. When it comes to setting it. I don't know how hard of a concept that is to understand.
  4. How is it griefing sending you home? I mean what part of that is griefing?
  5. You did say that peoples privacy issues are draconian and that people should have unimpeded access. Like somehow borders and privacy mean nothing.
  6. Some orwar dude, said that he should be able to travel wherever on mainland unimpeded and that somehow people's ideology of privacy was somehow draconian.
  7. It's not as bad as a couple years ago, you cross a sim line and your car is like travelling hundreds of meters before it nicely places you back at the spot you were at or the worst the car just runs away from you. And you are stuck there looking like you are driving an invisible car. Lol
  8. I don't care if someone comes up to me and goes may I come in. I will either poltiely decline or allow them to enter. There is a big difference between that and wanting unimpeded access to mainland. Like you are using an example if someone is polite enough to do that. There are plenty in SL that will just walk in and just act like it's their place too.
  9. I mean I remember having a mainland parcel and wish I could have kept the planes. So I could have a airplane graveyard. Lol
  10. That one had me giggling. Lol. But it's true, if you come into my room or my house nonchalantly. I am not gonna be like thank you for the breakfast. I would be like how in the heck did you get in. Lol
  11. I mean if we are gonna use an RL example. I am certainly not gonna wanna chit chat with someone who nonchalantly comes into my house. I am telling them to get out right away or I will call the cops and take them out by force. How is that any different than someone using an orb and kicking you home instantly?
  12. But you can freely explore mainland, people are just saying that they don't want you on their little piece of land. There is nothing impeding you from doing that.
  13. What exactly is being infringed on exactly? I mean unless you have money, boating and flying and driving on mainland is a privilege. I mean when I didn't have money. I walked on the roads for hours. Just checking it out, and found some cool spots. You seem to think that me protecting my "private property" is infringing your rights in some way. Why should you have impeded access to all the land on mainland?
  14. The solid reason would be, is that everyone is their own person. And that there are gonna be people who set their orbs to that duration of time and there will be people who set it to different duration of time. I mean you can configure an orb. But at the end of the day, people will choose what they think is best for them. If that isn't a solid enough reason, I don't know what is. Lol
  15. I think this argument is very tedious and ridiculous. And also the points are subjective. I mean everyone is their own person and will choose to do what they want to a certain degree. Whether it be exploring mainland or even setting their orbs to 0 seconds and you get teleported home. I think at the end of the day, it is the choice of the user who owns said orb. To set it however they want. I mean they bought it, they own that little chunk of land. Let them enjoy it, as much as you enjoy exploring mainland. Ngl Mainland does need an overhaul, but I mean the aesthetics. Some of it looks ugly as sin. Why aren't we talking about that? Lol
  16. I mean do you pay for the land I live on? So why would you have rights on land that I own? Ngl, this comes off as very much as you want the freedom to access everywhere and you consider property lines in RL and SL archaic. I mean you are talking about the rights of everyone. I mean what about our right to privacy? Where does that impede your rights in the slightest?
  17. I mean if I bought a piece of land RL. Wouldn't it be my land my rules? So wouldn't the same apply if I got a nice piece of land that is near the road of mainland in SL? How is that in any way ultra-extremist of someone to say? I mean if it is ultra-extremist? Should I just let anyone on my property? Whether it be RL or SL.
  18. I think the ultimate point is, that people, don't want people wandering into their homes on mainland. I mean yeah sure there are ways to make it so people could walk on the lawn of that person's property. Like only having the orb protecting about a meter outside the house and a meter above the house. So boaters and fliers could have unhindered access to the air and the seas. But a lot of people either don't really know how to set their orbs or just refuse to set them that way. I know it sucks, but that is just part of life. I for one would have the 1 meter by 1-meter perimeter set around my house, at 0 seconds. So to deter people from gaining entrance into my home. And yes you can still see inside their property, but the point is. A person's home is their castle, and when they are in it. They don't want to be bothered by random people coming in and out, due to them exploring. I think that is entirely their right to be able to have some privacy from all that. Don't you?
  19. I would have added something like, we have great concrete shoes to select from. Lol
  20. you're welcome. Yeah here is my trying to impersonate the accent and laughing to hard. Yeah You need to make that into a video on YouTube. Lol. I would love to see that skit come to life.
  21. This one was actually good. I had a hard time reading it in a bronx accent as I was laughing too hard. Lol
