  1. Coloured nails are cool. But long false nails, I mean the ones longer than a centimetre from the tip of your finger look stupid and trashy. In real life and Second Life. It is one of few trends of the decade that I really wish would die out asap.
  2. Just posted this in another thread but really don't like when people put wishlists in their profiles. Yeah like I'm going to give you free stuff just because you ask me to.
  3. Not sure it's a fad, but I've noticed since returning to SL that many users (more often women) have a link to their wishlists in their profiles with text similar to "Buy me gifts" "Be nice to me" "Buy me something", etc. Really don't like it. It's just a form of begging to me.
  4. Really you're in SL where you can look like anything your brain conjures up. You don't have to be human and beautiful. To me everyone's face is unique on it's own until they start copying each other and following the same beauty/fashion trends. But your question is hard to answer because everyone has their own opinion on what makes a face look unique. If you want ideas on how to look different search for RL alternative/unique model faces. There's one female model Sophia Hadjipanteli who's known as the monobrow model. She gets praise for "breaking traditional beauty standards" but her look isn't unique to me just because she's not the first and last person to have a monobrow. I like a model called Ilka Brühl because she has the appearance of a fairytale creature like a woodland fairy. But again really it depends what you personally think looks unique/interesting. It's hard to look unique in a world where everyone copies each other.
  5. People just want their avatars to look grossly exagerrated and trashy as hell. Pretty much since I joined 9 years ago I've always said Japanese fashion designers are and have always been better than western ones, they don't overly sexualise their clothing, and create things that are more focused on creativity, uniqueness and quality than gross sexualization. Just about every *****ing western clothing store is filled to the brim with the same *****ty mesh crop tops that don't even cover your chest with cringey text on them like "daddy's whore" and "*****". Mini skirts that don't cover your ass and jeans with unnaturally massive asses that even in the smallest sizes look huge...it's all just gross to me. I'm glad you made this thread because it gave me a chance to vent. I will never hold western SL creators who make nothing but "*****wear" on the same standard as Japanese ones because they are too obsessed with sex and looking as trashy as they can possibly be. Originality and uniqueness > sex.
  6. I was in a heavily crowded region that was lagging me to death so I clicked a random LM in my inventory, which just happened to be on someone's parcel but I also had to go AFK right at that moment. When I got back I'd understandably been kicked from the parcel. Only she hadn't ejected me but actually pushed my avatar right out of the parcel either with her avatar or a weapon and had been stood there hurling abuse at me for 5 minutes straight while I was away, insulting my character and my RL profile picture. So then her partner and the region owner comes in, and I get banned from the entire sim for "trespassing and being abusive". So if you don't actually WANT people in your land, why keep it open? That's why the option is there. Close it off if you don't like visitors. It's just the logical thing to do. If I come to your land and it's open with no security I'm just gonna naturally assume you don't mind people on it. Visitors on your land that are doing nothing harmful doesn't give you the right to act like an abusive psycho towards them. But as ever people are still messed up in this game and take it way too serious.
