Yeah, the problem is the Intel HD Graphics 2000.  See this entry in the Firestorm Help Wiki: https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_intel_fix_32bit

Yeah I thought it was most likely the graphics since this is a very small yet kinda old tower (2012) and because of the sixe the motherboard doesn't have a graphics card slot, so ima have to use 32 bit on this system, alright thank you all who replied to this you were quite nice :)

  3. Hi there, I've been on the Firestorm viewer for iver two years now and haven't had an issue with it on my original system as it has very good specs, however, I'm at my old place for quite sometime and didn't bring it with me cause yeah... but I have my old system here, a kinda old Dell Optiplex 790 Ultra small that has 8gb RAM and an i5 processor, but it has the standard intel graphics and since it is too small a separate graphics card can't be added to it. I tried to run the 64 bit version of Firestorm as that is what I use on my other system but it won't run here it says graphics need to be updated, and they are on their latest update, what I think makes it fail is that it can only be connected via vga, the 32 version of FS loads and works but honestly, it's a big downgrade from 64 bit haha... so since I am stuck with integrated graphics here and my output is vga, anyone knows if there is a way to run 64bit FS on this kinda system, or am I screwed with 32 bit? Thanks for taking the time of reading this by the way if anyone knows a good answer it'd be greatly appreciated, thanks again :)

  4. Hey there, so I just logged in to firestorm like I normally do but my avi would be missing a lot of parts... I tried relogging and tp back and forth to see if that would make it load all the way but it doesn't seem to fix it, what's weird is that when the few parts that do become visible show up... there are this tiny pyramid htingies popping up around my avi but they disappear after a while... but my avi is still very incomplete and if I check what I'm wearing what I originally had shows up as "having it on" but it just won't be visible... anyone know what it is? :v

  5. I didnt use blue screen view but I did write down codes and googled them tey all pretty much lead to incomplete processing and windows unloading incorrectly so what you tell me makes total sense. alright thanks for the link I'l download that and see how it goes.

  6. @Whirly Fizzle well I'm on the standard sl viewer... so you're sayig that's the problem? cus if that ll thing you mentioned works better I'm so upgrading to that in hopes it stops the crashes caue I do have w10 on my pc but its sl that detects it as 8 yeah xp

About the only things I see are the Win 8 and older Nvidia drivers.

I am not sure why it shows in 'compatibility mode'.

With the hardware you have I would make the upgrade to Win10. I've upgraded a couple of machines from Win7 to Win10 at no cost this month. Use the Windows built-in update.

Win8 and Win8.1 are problem versions of Windows. If the Nvidia driver update does not solve the problem, I would assume the problem is in Win8.

Suppossedly this laptop had w10 preinstalled but yeah weird that it says 8... perhaps that's the issue lemme update those now and see... thank you for your help btw :P

yes this is a laptop, and the antivirus it had preinstalled was mc afee but I removed it as it only had a one month trial and I didn't plan on renewing it after that period of time :P

  9. Hey there, I'm kinda new to second life. So I got this gaming laptop a week ago, and it has no problems except when running sl, I dunno why but it gives me blue screens of death and I gotta restart my computer and it's kinda a pain... sometimes it doesn't restart it and sl just closes on its own and I can't log back in right away... so I assume it must be something in the settings I gotta change or something but I'm not sure I'm new to pc gaming too... :c these are my specs btw:

intel core i7 - Nvidia Geforce gtx 1050ti, 4 gb graphics, 8 gb ram... I dunno much about pc specs cause like I said this is m intro to pc gaming but I dunno... maybe you the more experienced players know how to solve these kind of issues so I thought I'd ask xp
