Thanks for the welcome, Katiapfurtscheller, it's always nice to find places that allow child avatars. I'll have to get my little suit and bowtie out! I love exploring new places so I'll mention Amici's to my mum. The last restaurant we went to was for valentine's on a mum / son date which was quite awhile ago so it'll be nice to experience fine dining again. I know Clem visited recently and he took some very nice photographs. How does booking work if we want to attend when you'll be there? Also, one of my friend's might like this sort of place @BillFletcher would a certain someone appreciate a date here?

It has actually been awhile since I looked up the costs involved. For some reason I still had it in my head that the set up costs were around the $600 mark which is what I think they used to be for full regions. $149 followed by $109 is actually pretty reasonable when you consider rentals for homesteads start around the 5900L per week mark. The big difference though is you don't need to be a Premium Plus member to rent a homestead though which adds fair sum of dollars onto the total. If they got rid of the set up fee completely and made it so you could get one for say $90 per month then that would be very attractive.

We could probably do a 70s style PSA about the horrors of not wearing bom underwear. I mean it literally takes like a second to put on and would save everyone's eyes when first loading in and definitely a good idea if you're going to a General region, or anywhere... really....

If you go make sure to use the sound explorer to mute the rather annoying satelite dish on the neighboring parcel which is blearing out this annoying radar signal sound. And if you have good karma you'll even come away with a little present

I'm glad you are such a responsible home owner, Clem. Unfortunately not all creators of PG furniture have the same attitude. Some can be downright The Buddha Park sounds interesting. What made you decide to create that? Are you interested in Buddhism in RL? Since you mentioned it's entirely PG I think I might like to come and see it sometime if the offer is there?

I think they were arrived at by a simple calculation of reputation score divided by post count which is problematic in itself since not all the reactions are positive (e.g confused), although I feel like people tend to just ignore posts they don't like anyway so perhaps that helps to balance things out? It would be interesting if there was a dislike function that there used to be years ago on a lot of social platforms, but obviously they were open to abuse too. As for @Prokofy Neva and their popularity status, I admit that I struggle to engage with their posts. Maybe it's a me problem but I also think there is something to be said for an author writing to their audience. If people here don't like walls of text then maybe be more concise with your message? If I was going to offer any constructive criticism then it would be that. There's literally no point being an amazing writer if people can't engage with your work. Of course, some would say that's dumbing down or diluting but then what do you want? Popularity or integrity? Maybe both is possible, maybe neither ... I just say what I care about ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree with the question and I don't think you can measure contribution in any quantative way other than saying that we all contribute in some way by being here. Humans aren't numbers after all and even those who lurk, do they not read the ideas that people share? It's more qualitative if anything, something intangible. It's there but you can't see it or measure it.

Yup. Essentially the only benefit is having Linden Lab as a landlord. The initial set up cost is what kills it for most. Many do the calculation and decide they can have a homestead for insert x amount of months for the same setup cost even if the reoccurring fees will be more in the long run and their landlord might be more evict happy.

Do you rename the furniture and remove the PG part of the name?

Yeah I saw the thread get nuked too. Could be for any number of reasons. Suspect we'll never know the why although the what will become clearer if we don't see certain people in world or at events anymore. I always had very positive interactions with all the ones I met. Sigh... well its not been a brilliant year for LL in regards to implementation and execution across a number of issues, regardless of your thoughts on whether they should have been done or not. Given that, maybe it was inevitable? If it's true, we'll losing your job is never nice whatever the circumstances.

I think what you're describing unfortunately happens to a lot of businesses. The original owner has this vision and then maybe their child takes it over and things are never quite the same. It's a problem for Studio Ghibli. What will happen when Hayao Miyazaki passes away?

Adult Linden homes attached to Zindra would be a good idea and beneficial to your average resident although I don't think land speculators will be happy. I personally think you should be able to get a Linden home with any maturity rating. I suspect I'm in a very small minority but I would like to own a General Linden Home as that would offer me a lot more protection and General land is already pretty undesirable so it's not like it would affect prices much. Probably will never happen though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's a bit of a problem at the moment because people such as myself don't know whether people are truly nude or whether they have been hit by the bug.

Try that and look at avatar health options such as refresh attachments.
