  1. I'm pretty sure that is Genus strange face w001.
  2. Not enjoying what other people enjoy doesn't make you a soulless person, Nothing is wrong with you, you just enjoy different things.
  3. When people take your words and twist it into something entirely else. When people only see things as black and white. When people think there are only two sides, and not a middle ground, or a surrounding. When people cannot accept that they are in the wrong sometimes.
  4. Come to think of it marketplace wise, I've seen some creators get rid of their marketplace demos, so you can only access them in their inworld store, I wonder why? I feel like that gets rid of the usefulness of having a marketplace in someway, demos are important. I also want enhance how important it is to have a modify product for some people, I want be able to adjust the colors and the materials and the color of the materials, I feel those are at least important to be able to adjust sometimes, it doesn't stop copybotters to not make your products mod eitherhow, it's just a silly myth at this point.
  5. I agree to what you are saying Devin, that way everyone would have a chance to win, they could also add in a non edited snapshot contest as well for those who are more talented in that area, I read over the rules however I do not remember them clearly, so the white background is probably what they prefer yeah, but as a bystander I think a complete background and a outfit tells more of a story overall, but of course if it is just the outfit they are judging by it makes sense, however the winner did just use their vendor picture for the dress, without any other accessory, so they literally just put on a dress they made and called it a day, someone else also could of bought that outfit and do the same thing, but who do you think they would of chosen anyway? The designer, so the designers had the upper hand in this contest regardless, but if it didn't really matter then ( <- Ignore this I made a mistake ). I don't think the rules were clear enough, they did confuse me at least. Anyway it happen, don't think there is anything we can do about it other than to improve for next year. ( <- I still think it can ). But I would still love to see the other people's entry for the contest, perhaps a flickr group for this year's and the next etc, if people copy each other you can tell by the dates the pictures have been uploaded, that way it would also be easier to tell if anyone's doing anything wrong before the contest ends, maybe it is a bad idea, I don't know. But it annoys me that we can't appreciate what other people did for the contest when it's over at least.
  6. I didn't join the contest, and I found it unfair for the ones who did, seeing what won the contest and who won it, I'm fairly sure there were more accessorized entries, with a more exciting background. I would honestly love to see the other entries as well, and not just the winner one, I think that's fair. 😅 I checked their facebook store page, they released that dress the 28th October 2021 in their mainstore. ( Contestant entries ended the same day in the morning, corrected by someone else, thanks ).
  7. Yeah this is why I do not do it, even if I want to. Not to avoid certain people but to get some needed space when I feel like I need it, however I wish there was a way to be able to appear offline properly lmao.
  8. 2011, not sure what I was wearing to be honest. Me and a friend in 2013. Wish I still had access to my very first account, perhaps I have more pics on that one.
  9. At the moment, food, halloween vibes and games. 🤠
  10. Ah that is a shame, it's always nice to learn something from someone else, I still to this day learn new things that I had no idea about.
  11. Back when I joined Second life in 2007 as a 13 year old I did not have any difficulties on learning the most important stuff, but were in a different time where people have to figure out more things, such as where to get replacements for their standard linden lab body, what is bento, animesh, mesh, rigged mesh, alpha, bom. Also having to learn how Second life works, how the viewer works and all that, now I don't know if it has gotten more advanced since back then but either way it probably is more overwhelming for a newbie now than it was back then. There was a whole lot more people and places as well, so it was easier to find someone to befriend and talk to, but now were less people and were spread out or hiding in our homes. There are less regular hangouts and more lewd or afk lewd places, so I do understand why newbies feel so lost and have no idea where to go, other than clubs or shopping events. Unless they are into the whole nsfw business, but if not it's going to be a whole lot more difficult for a newbie to find somewhere to go, there are also those places that yeets people who are less than 30 days old. So yes in general, I think it's difficult for a newbie to figure out Second life, at least more now than back then. There are youtube videos and there is that basic tutorial you learn on the first sim, but I find the youtube videos to be messy and not top notch in quality in audio and what not, and the tutorial just learns you the basics and then you get thrown into Second life without having any clue on what to do now. The learning curve should be improved on, but I don't know how. Do anyone know if there's any people at the first sim that helps newbies?
  12. What is important for me, is that the products are good quality, mesh, rigging and texture-wise, but also if their products are modify that gives them a big golden sticker in their book. and that they add good description on their products on the marketplace or add important information on products inworld. I also like a easy, clean and non laggy hud, and that their stores are clean and easy to go trough and easy to find things. It is also important the customer service is and how the creator behaves, I especially love when a creator show that they actually care about their customers, and really listen to whenever someone got a problem with their product, or that they are gladly open to feedback. I also love if they are involved in sales, it is not a must but it certainly makes me want to return lmao. What leaves me a bad taste is when a creator is snarky, snobby and talk to you like you are dumb, and behaves like they are better than everyone else and that they can never do mistakes, and will dismiss you whenever you have an issue with an product, that makes me want to stop buying from a store all together, I would never want to support a store owner that couldn't care less about their customers, or don't actually want to improve or optimize their stuff, k'tch the cash is all that matters. Anyway, here's some stores that have given me a good impression by product or inworld store wise. Palette ( Great inworld store, clean and open store that makes it easy to find certain products, I personally haven't bought anything from them yet but the inworld store gave me a good impression, and their products looks great ). E.marie ( Great inworld store and aesthetic, it also gives me a realistic store vibe with how they setup their products, they are also actively in sales and creates awesome products ). Muse ( Great inworld store and products, modify, and sometimes in sales ). Avec toi ( Great products, also sometimes in sales ). Backbone ( Great products and a nice store aesthetic, actively in sales ). Rouley ( Simple but nice inworld store and great products, actively in sales ). Top1Salon ( Simple but nice inworld store and great products, actively in sales ). Belzebubble ( Great products ). Stoic ( Great products and a nice store aesthetic, sometimes in sales ). Semller ( Great products, actively in sales ). There are probably more, but at the moment these are the ones I can think of.
  13. I don't know of any skins exactly, but if you're using bom have you tried wearing a skin tinter? That way you can lighten up your skins a tiny bit. Heres one: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/gift-EVERMORE-skintone-tintadjust-BoMonly-wear-me/19133362
  14. Most likely just going to watch horror movies and stuff some candy in my mouth like a squirrel. Halloween isn't a huge thing in Norway, but kids do go out trick or treating and there probably is some adult halloween parties here and there, but I celebrate in my own way, I do not care so much about handing out candy, but I like to decorate my home with halloween decor and watch horror movies, overall having a cozy halloween with my boyfriend or with friends and family. Decorating for halloween, and horror movies, but this year I've felt too lazy to decorate, but not to lazy in Second life, makes sense. The autumn season, the fresher autumn air, the comforting colors, halloween decorations and looking for new halloween stash in the stores, I'm kind of a halloween decor hoarder. People ringing the doorbell for some candy, I've got social anxiety so that is why, oh and tacky halloween decor made out of cheap plastic. Happy spoopy season 👻
  15. I don't know, I find the ebody reborn flexible, the only thing that really stays "big" is the butt, but you can fix that with a deformer, but then again what people find curvy and not curvy may differ. I didn't go minimum on the sliders except for the butt on the smallest shape, that's as small as it gets.
  16. I would say either legacy or ebody reborn, ebody reborn is very new and on the curvier side, but I think you might be able to make it look petite as well if you play around with the shape sliders ( it came out 10th october ) and doesn't have a whole lot of stuff for it yet but surprisedly a good variety for how new it is, but it seems like it's going to be one of the more popular bodies, given enough time, it also includes a mod version of the body! but honestly just demo them both and see which you prefer! There is also slink hourglass and freya but they don't get as much support anymore, but they are also on the more curvier side. However I would be wary of legacy because they do seem to deny giving some adult bits stores dev kits at least sensations, so in that department I don't know how much more support it will get, however there are V bits for it, but the question is if it needs updates or other bits it will most likely not happen, unless they will change their mind eventually, if you care a lot about that. Also Sensations are working on nether v bits for the ebody reborn at the moment, so that will probably come out around november or december. I personally use ebody reborn, but yeah just demo them all and see what you like!
  17. I second this, you can remove the bow and the straps via the hud, I was really surprised when I saw this, such a good deal
  18. I do like how the body look, my only complaints really is the thin wrists and ankles, the toes looking short and stubby, the nails on the toes looking narrow and small so it kinda looks odd to me, and I find the fingers to be very thin compared to how plump the body looks regardless of of your shape's slider numbers, but that is probably just me being nit picky. But honestly, whenever I get the income I will switch from Legacy to Ebody, because tmp sucks as a company/store, their support is crap and they deny dev kits for certain stores, the hud is web-based crap, I also feel like they rely heavily on customers to help other customers with their body, and let's not forget how they bailed on their first body years ago.
  19. Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone got any recommendations or know if there's any jumping puzzle places within Second life? I only know of the vault by The Crowley corporation ( which I highly recommend as long as you don't mind the adult store you have to go trough to get to it ), and that there is something similar in some of the games you get trough via the portal park, I also know that Madpea sells some type of games, but I prefer exploring Second life and finding some jumping puzzle or any other types of games that other people have created! I take any suggestions gladly, I wish there were more of them because jumping puzzles within Second life is actually very fun and challenging, but there is very few of them if any at all. Thank you! :3
  20. Not bad per se, but not someone I would add. If someone sends you a friend request without even talking with you. If someone is greeting you with the typical " Sup sexy ", and probably expecting and wanting to do something lewd. If someone is really hard to keep a conversation with, and only replies with short answers. If someone got a profile containing where they got banned from, or a list of people who stepped on their toes. If their profiles only contain sexual information about what they like and what they do and all that.
  21. Sadly there will be bad eggs anywhere, both in RL and on SL. As long as your not a "normal" person, but then again what is, you will most likely deal with people who got an issue with whatever no matter what you do or what you "are". But then again it isn't as black and white, sometimes there is a good reason for someone to react. My experiences being, seeing a toddler avatar with bdsm gear at an adult store years ago and getting "hit on" by a baby furry at a furry club. Second life does give a platform to both good and bad people, nobody can deny that there are bad people doing bad things with avatars as these, but that puts other people in a bad light, making people assume the worst, and that is just sadly how it has become. Furry, anime and toddler avatars will most likely get someone after them, troughout their SL life, there isn't much to do there other than block and move on, find somewhere else to go that are more welcoming for most. But let's not forget that there are bad eggs behind any kind of avatar and person, including "human" avatars, which I personally have experienced and do not wish on anyone. But that does not make me instantly think, oh that's a human male avatar so they must be a P*** etc, assuming things is never good for anyone, as long as there is no real proof, words should not be spilled.
