  1. Not had it happen before, but logging out and back in a few times took care of it in the end. Thank you both.
  2. Nothing wrong with the head when I logged out, but since logging back in, her mouth animations were suddenly going like crazy - and they're awful (which is why I never use them). They're turned off on the HUD and always have been, so I have no idea what's going on. I only use the Firestorm Viewer AO and there's no facial animations in there but just to be sure, I checked the original AO - nothing turned on there, either. I'm going to hazard a guess that I'm the only one this is happening to, right?
  3. Late to the party, but just to add my two cents worth - the only thing I've found that works for me (not to dismiss anyone's helpful suggestions in here), is uninstalling FS and doing a clean install. LL Viewer works just fine and so does BD - but FS? Not a chance. Clean install gives me a few weeks - maximum - of normal use before it starts its nonsense all over again. I won't bother putting in a ticket since the last time I did that someone 'moved' my ticket - and it was never addressed or seen again - so I don't find that avenue particularly helpful.
  4. Yes, I believe so. I only use the latest version when one's available.
  5. Thank you, Gwin. I'll remember that if there's a next time. For now, a clean install took care of it.
  6. Ah sorry about that - I use Firestorm Viewer but I remembered that this has happened twice before just since January and each time the solution was to do a clean install. So I did that again and sure enough, it's working perfectly. It started happening on a rental parcel that I've had for several months. A clean install, however, while it's worked for me, only seems to last a couple weeks before it begins happening again. I have tried logging in on Linden land that I have elsewhere to no avail. The only solution that enables me to log back in again, seems to be a clean install. I just need to remember to do it again install if/when it happens again.
  7. Anyone else having this happen at the moment, or am I the only lucky little vegemite? Seems to be occurring a lot lately - tells me to check the status page but of course the status page always says everything's hunky dory.
  8. Got the "unable to create valid session" first, then a few moments later got the "unable to log in to Second Life due to an internal error..." Not even able to get in so I can enjoy 'Orange Cloud Syndrome'
  9. No kidding! The comment about demos before blog posts still stands, irrespective of the body.
  10. Not sure which first picture you mean, Vanessa - but if it's in reference to a (and there's no other way of saying this) hideous blog post I saw regarding the two new Belleza bodies (thankfully only after I tried the demos) that seemed to focus on making them deliberately look so utterly revolting so that no one in their right mind would want to buy them, then that blogger failed miserably, but not from lack of effort. Which is really just to say that when it comes to new bodies, I personally think it's always better to try demos first and completely ignore all blog posts and gossip about them until after you find the one you love - blogger sabotaging efforts notwithstanding (I'm sure it's not unheard of). This is the Belleza Gen.X Classic body that I fell in love with: Although they don't come with shapes like most bodies do but it really isn't difficult to work with at all.
  11. It's a gorgeous head. I used the new group gift from tres beau on it - noelle 2.5:
  12. I usually put on my L$10 squirrel avi for going anywhere a ton of bodies are going to be in all their lag-inducing finery. Aside from being practically invisible in a crowd with it's almost non-existent complexity, it has the added bonus of being not even remotely smexy to creeps and sleazes 😁
  13. Definitely did all that. You're right, too...it's fun lol
  14. Agreed. Thankfully big names like Blueberry have started adding a lot of new body sizes, including Gen.X. It only takes one or two big names like that to include a new body size before other creators to begin scrambling to do the same if they don't want to miss out on charging like wounded bulls...
  15. You and me both, but it's rare to hear someone agree with me. Normally heads explode when I open my mouth to change feet. Went to an event a few hours ago and I don't know what it is but all of a sudden everything just looks like porridge - it's all hooker clothes, especially if they're being marketed for chunky bodies. I felt like shouting, "What? Chunky girls aren't allowed to look elegant, too? There some law that says thou shalt always dress like hookers?" Must be a market for it or they'd stop I guess, but it's not for me.
  16. I'm sticking with the beautiful Belleza Gen.X Classic body whether creators choose to create clothes for it or not because - just not into the whole flobulous-lardiferously grotesque look. Managed to get a couple of lovely fatpacks of clothing for Gen.X on the MP, so I'm good with those til SL dies (or hell freezes over, whichever comes first).
  17. Only just found out about Gen.X. Have never had anything Belleza in my entire SL life but after trying on both the Classic and Curvy a couple hours ago (and struggling to choose between them), I sure do now. Wasn't about to quibble over the price. A friend and I were bemoaning the fact that someone in SL's 'shape department' has seemed to turn all basic shapes into androgynous blobs, making it so difficult to create a lovely feminine shape - but Belleza seems to have thumbed their nose at that nonsense with their new bodies - and I'll love them forever for that. Talk about perfect teardrop butts - and that's without any editing on my part. There's just no competition. These are hands down - to me, at least - the very best bodies money can buy in SL (5.5k, same as Legacy). They might be a little complexity-heavy, but perhaps that has more to do with the included v'goo than anything else. The HUD, while not the visually slickest of HUDs I've ever come across, is certainly functional and covers whatever you need, although there's no ability to minimize it, so you have to shut it down every time. My favorite skin creator doesn't yet provide body skins for it but using the Maitreya, Reborn or Legacy versions do the job just fine - as long as you remember to wear shoes to hide the tell-tale 'dirty toes' look that occurs when you're wearing a skin that's not designed for the body, but that's no biggie. All in all to me it's hands down the most beautiful and feminine of bodies in SL.
  18. Oh honey, I wouldn't count on the Lindens giving a toss about it - they're raking in money from everyone in SL - creators and plebs alike. I doubt they could care any less if they tried, but I hear you. In my opinion, pixel dictators forcing that crap are desperately insecure and sad little vegemites who aren't worth your time and effort - nor are their products. I tend to move along and ignore them if that's how they want to play. Same with Fakebook and Twatter. I've never felt the need to be bothered with either.
  19. Does this have anything to do with not being able to log in after the restart? I was logged in after the restart, then logged out briefly and now can't get back in.
  20. Ahhh - a fellow wow player Haven't come across one of those critters in a while!
  21. Thank you - yes. Have done that. Wasn't much help. I'm sure it'll all be sorted out sooner or later.
  22. Odd things like that (viewer shutting down) have been happening for the past couple of days or so. Also, unreasonable amounts of lag so that my avi struggles to walk - or worse, struggles to stop walking. At the same time, parts of my avi's body that have been alpha'd out via the HUD, are no longer hidden after teleporting (legs, pelvis, etc). It's as though I hadn't alpha'd them out to begin with and I have to do it all over again. But even more embarrassing is when you're wearing the Maitreya Petite or Legacy Perky Petite addon - with the appropriate sized clothing - and you arrive at your destination looking like Dolly Parton getting nasty and tearing her top to shreds. I don't think so, thank you very much. There's also this thing where my stationary avatar randomly begins walking, jumping or - get this - bouncing the maracas I'd reduced with an addon up and down like a human jackhammer - or craning her head 180 degrees like Damien whatshisface. Then, just to rub salt into the situation a little more thoroughly, now it's that old faithful "failed to find body part blah blah blah". I'm on fiber plugged straight into my machine - no wireless - often on at times that most sane people are sleeping. I'm also on half a sim that's almost always blissfully free of lag. No issues from my neighbour's half of the sim, either. Is anyone else experiencing multiple issues similar to these at the moment - or is it just me? Will leave you with a couple pics of what's happening right now - tried to put on my Squirrel avi, which is what I normally wear to public events and sims so that I'm not contributing to lag or getting in anyone's way (it's only got a complexity of 2,152):
  23. It's funny because this is the same stunt YouTube pulled - only they went one step further and now 'hide' all downvotes from the public as well. Something's pretty rotten when honesty is treated as a crime.
  24. Just in case anyone comes across this and finds themselves in the same situation, in my instance it turned out to be the VPN blocking login. They're working to find out why, but try turning off your VPN and see if you can log in then.
