I usually work around this issue by putting an invisiprim just on top of the floor, so I rez on a good ol'prim, instead of the mesh. Issue solved!

Even easier: - Open inventory, go to recent tab. - Press Ctrl+Shift+I, which opens a second inventory window, and drag and drop

I can do all of that with my draw distance of 128 just fine. The draw distance is measured from your cam, not from your avatar. So if you see someone enter on your minimap, just rightclick on the dot on the minimap and click cam. Presto!

That's about the same for me, although for me it might have something to do with the fact that the nearest Walmart is roughly 5000 miles away.

You are aware that the draw distance is in meters, right? So you want to be able to see things up to 16 sims away? In your peripheral vision that means that your viewer will have to load about 214 sims at the same time. I don't know about your computer, but mine would have serious issues with that.

This one sentence already proves you have indeed never seen any of the Marvel movies or read any of the Marvel comics. That was the big change in the super hero comic world that Stan Lee introduced. Stan Lee's super heroes had flaw's, were rounded characters and DID make people think about what was happening in their stories. Yes, the films can be watched with little thinking about the background and enjoyed as easy effect filled movies, but for a lot of fans of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) the charm is that there is so much more behind the films and series, and all of them are interconnected on a deeper level. With the exception of the Fox-produced Marvel films (X-men, Fantastic Four, and DeadPool), they are all set in the same universe, and can affect each other even in the smallest details.

Had one avatar of which I can't even remember the name from trying when I first heard of SL, in 2004, I think. Logged in a couple of times, left it, forgot about it, and started seriously in june 2008. Left that avatar in early 2016, and left for a year and a half, then I started this avatar, in august last year.

CTS (the creator of the Wardrobe)used to have one that would even sit you on the particular lucky chair when your letter would come up. But that was back in the day when there was only one brand of lucky chairs. I don't know whether it worked by reading chat, or listening to the scripts.

Probably not, because the ONline/offline feature shown in Firestorm isn't supposed to work. Even back in the Emerald Era, the developers were told to break that feature by LL, because of privacy reasons. So the people at Emerald broke the feature. but never bothered to completely remove the code. Perhaps it was partially restored to be able to see the online status of friends, but it is (or was) not supposed to work with people not in your friends list.

Actually, this is not true. When you hide your online status to someone on your friends list, the online/offline notification disappears entirely from your profile for them. This is also a way to see whether people have hidden their online status from you.

You might want to use Ctrl+Z if you are still wearing it. If you have already detached it, the new size and position are already saved. Best thing to do now is unpacking a new version/requesting a redelivery. Whenever you go editing things, make a copy before editing. If it's a no copy item, be prepared to lose what you're working with.
