It must be slow because it's synced to a cloud service as well. That way wherever I log in to SL, I can access my logs.

In the past someone told be they used a setting in their viewer that would save their local chat logs, in files of a certain timespan, say a new file each month.

Since my local chatlog has become a beast of almost 80 MB, it takes a full 5 minutes to open my log. I would like to start saving the logs in mote bitesize peices as well, but for the life of my, I can't find that setting. 

 

Is there such a setting or would it have been a work of manual labour?

Pretty much the same though. What I usually do, is use Ctrl+Shift+I to open multiple inventory windows, so you have one with the links/outfits, one in which I have the old item, and one in which I have the new item. Then I wear the new item, go to the outfits and right-click the old item links, replace links, and then drag the newer item in. When you start you should see the one that is not work being replaced by the one that is worn.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is how it's always worked for me.

It definitely works from an outside region as well. I have my home set in another sim than my actual home. I have a landing point set for guests outside the front door., and me and my partner are allowed to ignore landing point, so we can teleport directly into the house.

I deliberately do not use an alt for photoshoots, as I use Black Dragon for photoshoots and use the built in poser for pose corrections. This poser is much, much more versatile than any HUD poser available inworld. Sadly this poser only works on the avatar which is logged in to the viewer, hence using an alt to make the picture does not work. You could say use another viewer window with an alt, but the built in poser adaptations are not visible to other users.

Rigged items never have a resize menu. They are rigged, so their size is fixed. They could and perhaps should have provided different sizes though.

Instead of taking screenshots, you might want to look into using the photgraphy function in your viewer. There you will have the option to turn off the GUI in your pictures.
