Hi all! I recently upgraded my parcel to a bigger plot of land, nothing huge, but I have a decent amount of prims and its low cost. Since I won't use them all I thought it would be cool to get a roommate. It's a 4080 size plot 1369 prime And its $952 per week. Land is rated moderate. We could divide it down the middle cost and prim wise or arrange something else if you're interested. I have a lot of homes we could use or you can use your own. Hey, thanks for looking! I am Emma and I would love to find work! Previously I assisted with running a community that rented out homes and apartments in SL. I helped plan events for our neighborhood community, kept track of resident info, assisted with decorating their homes, negotiate prim usage, etc. I also worked at a BDSM club assisting with setting up events, coming up with theme ideas, and writing up the group notices. I have done some promoting but it was quite a while ago. Most of my time in SL is spent exploring, decorating, working on my avi, and shopping. Thanks for the responses! I don't mind so much losing out on the money or anything. I just thought maybe someone would need a cheap place to stay. I always have paid at least 2 weeks in rather than weekly and sometimes I've even done monthly. Most of the time my remaining amount on the rent was able to be transferred to a different parcel, but this time I moved to Mainland. =) I agree though for lots of people it might be best to pay weekly though. Never know what can come up!

Hey all! Forgive me if this isn't in the correct spot and feel free to let me know if it's not! I have a small parcel that I rent through a pretty popular company in SL and recently upgraded to premium, so I bought a parcel on mainland. I don't need the other parcel anymore but it still has almost 2 months left (like 1 month 3 weeks 4 days) and I don't want it to go to waste. I can't get a refund obviously so I figured I'd see if anyone wanted to take over. The weekly rate is 329L and monthly its 1316L Its 1008sqm and perfect for a small home. I was able to rez several different houses that fit perfectly! My favorite part about it besides the price was that it has a decent amount of prims- 507. And if it matters, the neighbors don't have ugly homes =) In order to hopefully get something back from what was paid on it, I'd ask for the cost of a month which is the $1300. So you'd get an extra 3 weeks and 4 days there without paying for that. I figure this is a long shot, but couldn't hurt to try! IM me in world if you want to see the parcel! -Emma (Emmarielee)

Looking for roommates! I've got a huge 3 bedroom/3 bathroom house facing water (adult sim) that needs more life added to it. I've got a nice sized parcel with 1335 prims to share. The rooms are large and can come fully furnished or you can furnish your own. If you want more privacy I can toss a skybox up. Breedables are allowed, but please keep it to no more than 5 and they must be on a sky platform so they don't cause lag. I currently have 350 or more prims available, but can add more if needed. Rent is reasonable and dependent on what you're looking for. Full access to the house so you're not restricted to your room if you stay in my house rather than a skybox. Heya everyone, thanks for taking the time to read! So I thought renting out rooms in my house would be a good way to meet new people and make friends. I have 3 extra rooms and 1 bathroom that I don't use and since its just me living in my house I figured I hopefully could find roommates. I'm super easy going, I have been in SL for a couple of months so far. I only know a few people. I don't really go to clubs or anything like that very often. I think I've been to 3, lol. I'm kind of a homebody/shopping addict, so thats mostly where I spend my time. I'm trying to branch out and meet new people, but I swear I never stay in one area long lol. I'm always running around to different shops. Anyhow, I'm young, prefer not to say my age here, but if you have to know, just ask. Yes, I'm legal, lol. I'm really independent and I'm actually working on the same sim that my house is on. I'm sure I could run into crazies by renting out rooms in my house, but everything comes with risks I guess. If you're too crazy don't worry...I'll tell you. Anyway, so as far as rent goes...its paid up and you're not in any danger of losing your place to live for as long as you want to live there. I've never been late or missed payments or lost land or anything like that. You can pay me directly and I'll just put it towards rent for the next week. I'm not asking a lot for rent, actually I hate discussing money, so I'm not going to say how much rent is. We can discuss that and determine what you can afford for the amount of space that you want. Thanks for the response! In an effort to save money I've went with the Belleza Isis body and Catwa Sarah head. I do plan on getting the Maitreya body though because even though a lot of clothes go with Belleza bodies I've found most are fitted for the Lara body. I dont feel like I wasted money though because the Isis body really is beautiful. I think I'll end up buying a new head though. The Sarah version seems to have sharper facial features than I'd like. I've checked out both of those sites and love them. They're so helpful! Thanks for the help! Greatly appreciated!!! Oh, and I managed to get myself looking decent compared to what I was before haha.

So, like the title says I'm looking for someone to teach me about building here in SL. I've been here about a month now and the ability to build is really what has drawn me to SL. I'm working on degrees in architecture and interior design IRL and unfortunately there isn't much practice that we do IRL, so for more practice/creativity I decided this was the proper place for me to be. Anyway, So I'm looking for someone to teach me the basics of building homes in SL. I've had not much luck in buying too many homes in SL that I'm completely in love with besides 1. The land I'm on I can't currently use it because the home is too large to fit nicely for me. I've got a place that we can use to build, so don't worry about that. I've got 1250 prims at my disposal so I think that allows us plenty of space to work. I'm looking to learn also how to change the textures of the walls/flooring without screwing it up too much I've dabbled in texturing, but sometimes I can't get it to look perfect. Before you ask, yes I have visited Builders Brewery and other places people have suggested, but I'm looking for more of a private "on my land" lesson. I do have quite a few textures that I've ran across and a 30x30 grid. If anyone is interested in helping me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. Hello everyone, thanks for reading! I know there are tons of posts on here offering work, but I'm not having luck. I'm Emmalee, I've been on SL for 3 weeks. My RL age is 23. I have prior MMO knowledge (world of warcraft, anyone?) I learn quickly and I actually like to learn new things instead of stay inside my comfort zone. I love talking to people, love meeting people and making friends. I'm NOT interested in a dancing job which pretty much limits my abilities to find work as a new person. I'm currently taking classes in college for Interior Design and Architecture both residential and commercial. I've got my associates in Psychology though I don't know how that could be helpful inworld. I love creating things and soon hope to learn how to make my own furniture, homes, and possibly clothing here but I've not started with that yet. I've never been a host before and I see a lot of hosting jobs out there. I know most people are hesitant to hire newbies for better jobs because they're unsure of their commitment to SL, but I've been on daily and am usually able to be on between 12pm-8pm Central Time though not in that long of a stretch. I'm also available in the late evenings between 10pm-12am. My availability just depends on what you require. As long as I know ahead of time when I'm needed then I can make sure I'm there. I'm a quick learner and I often like to take on additional responsibilities if there are any for me to take. I'd like to make a decent wage, but I don't expect a lot until I'm able to prove myself. I just want to be able to afford my rent inworld without having to pay the entire thing with RL funds. First, hello and thanks for taking the time to read this post from a newbie. I'm Emma and I've been on SL for about 3 weeks now. I browse the forums, stalk group chats and talk to the very few people I know to try to get the information I need, but since I don't know many people and I'm not finding the information I'm needing I figured I'd post here. My main question is how do I get started with mesh bodies/heads without sacrificing an arm and a leg in terms of cost? I've added money to my account and have ended up signing up for some amazing groups and getting some nice things. I recently got a mesh body from #TheMeshProject and I got the gift heads from Genesis Labs. From what I've learned so far certain clothing items won't work with certain bodies. A problem that I'm having is that only 1 pair of shoes that I have fit with the body that I wear. If I use just the classic avi then I have more options, but only a few. I'd love to wear the items that I have, but I guess I'm just confused on how the entire mesh system works. I'd really like to learn more and if anyone has any blogs or posts that they've come across that have helped them get a deeper understanding then I'd appreciate if you could let me know. There is a lot to learn in SL and so far I feel like I've managed to do well finding the information on my own, but sometimes the best answers come from the "experts" which hopefully are reading this right now. So, just to make myself clear (if I didn't before) my question is how do I find a body that works with most types of shoes/clothes/accessories? I know there are a few main types out there such as Belleza, Slink, Maitreya, and I guess more recently Bento? I'd like opinions on which is best for a beginner and which is more cost effective. Again, being new I'm pretty limited to funds unless I add them with RL money. Finding a job in SL has been tough since I'm only 3 weeks unless I want to dance which I don't want to do.
