Playing with the photostudio that comes with the home I am renting

I often notice when in my Linden home, as well as a few other places that random music or sound loops will start playing. Sometimes it can be several at once! In my Linden home in particular sometimes I have 3 different hip hop tracks, a goth rock track and some obscure German horror film with a bunch of guys getting eaten all playing at once. Should I mute sound, they keep playing. Also get this in a few other sims, can be anything from shopping to residential. I have read somewhere that this could be media on a prim... I don't care if it's media in my backside... I just want to shut it up!!! Some how... ANY HOW!!!!! So in short, does anybody have any tips for killing this obnoxious noise pollution so as I can hear the music I am playing from outside the game, or listen to the actual radio stream in a sim without it being drowned out by unsolicited garbage?

Just chilling after a long day of shopping and shenanigans.

Log in, make sure that I am decently clothed and my boobs aren't poking through my dress. Check notifications, hunt for cute outfits that are cheap/free. Head home, try on clothing, play with particle effects. Get all excited when my partner logs on. Head off to a party of some sorts and start checking out everyone's clothes. Most likely I end up pestering anyone with a nice hat or top wanting to know where they bought it. Laugh my rear end off at some of the profiles I read and cringe at the overuse of quotes by famous people in absence of any real originality in other cases. Fend off attention from desperate monosyllabic perverts of all genders. Wonder why the heck I am doing all this stuff in a virtual world rather than being out exploring the real world. Get distracted by a squirrel and forget why it is that I came to a particular sim. All in a days work for this elf...
