  1. Hello, everyone! Recently, I started putting together a new avatar that calls for a particular style of dog tail and ears. I found mod products for a set on the MP that I really like, which is the "Scene Pup" tail and ears. There is mention on a few product descriptions that they can be found in-world at the Chimera store for free, but I have been there and can't seem to the find them anywhere. I also contacted the MP Chimera owner but have not gotten an answer back. Does anyone know if these are still available? Thanks! --Suma
  2. *Update* I noticed more issues occurring with the head animations seeming to "break" after the other original body parts were deleted. So, I used a less complicated method that would keep the entire body and all animations in tact. I used the Alpha HUD to make the rest of the body completely transparent so that the overlap with the Maitreya body would not be visible, and everything seems to be flowing more smoothly. The neck gap also looks a little better.
  3. I'm not sure how that helps exactly, but thanks for the response, haha.
  4. Hello! My OC is a kitsune who typically remains in her hybrid human/animal form, but for a long time I have been searching for parts to build a full-fledged furry/anthropomorphic version. I absolutely love the realism that comes with the JOMO avatar creations, but I can never seem to find exactly what I am looking for clothing wise, especially since I will be going for a more traditional Japanese look when it comes to her furry form. The alpha HUD and reshaping have only gone so far, and these limited options--along with other complications--have caused me to look for other realistic heads that can work with the human mesh body I already have and with skin mods available that would match my character. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any combinations that I really like, and my ability to build skin textures is very minimal. I decided to try out a kind of complicated idea--rez and dissemble the JOMO body, leaving only the head and animation scripts in tact, then save a copy to wear independently. I managed to do that and was able to attach the head to my Maitreya body without any major issues. The only issue I ran into structurally was the neck gap/clipping, which I was able to partly fix between the the built-in "Neck Fix" options on the Maitreya HUD and using the JOMO HUD alpha options. There is still some clipping, but even the Omega fixes I have tested show the same issue. I am hoping this can be minimized when the head and body textures actually match. Although I am still using the original JOMO alpha and shape to keep everything looking the way it should, I have been able to modify everything to look pretty decent together so far, and all the head animations seem to be working fine alongside my AO. *Update: I did notice the eyes shifting too far to the left and right, though that was already a slight concern with the original body. I am working on fixing this. I also added one of the original JOMO fox tails ("Tail E Bristles") and a pair of Caboodle furry legs to the combination. I checked to be sure, and all of these parts are omega-applier-compatible. Below is the information for all the products mentioned: Original Body/Tail: *Note: Head and Ears are not originally separate from the body. JOMO Female Fox V2.0(Bento) E https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/JOMO-Female-Fox-V20Bento-E/10425257 Mesh Body: Maitreya - Lara V5.3 Furry Legs: {C} Canine Luv Legs {Maitreya} - Omega Compatible https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/C-Canine-Luv-Legs-Maitreya-Omega-Compatible/17451721 Reference Photos: : Is there anyone who would be able and willing to make a full-body furry skin for this avatar? I am looking to hire someone who is experienced and skilled in creating soft, detailed fur textures along with high-definition bits and body parts. I realize this may not be an easy task and am willing to negotiate a fair price, but I will need to see previous examples. The color and markings in this case are not too complex and will consist of a natural white coat base with black-tipped ears and black "socks" with blended knee-high fades for the hind/animal legs. I'm still debating on adding black fades for the hands/forearms. I will provide color and marking references and discuss further when I find the right person for the job. Thank you for your time and interest! --Suma
  5. Thank you! I will give this a try using a new copy of the head.
  6. Hello everyone! I recently attempted to use a mesh item that required me to alpha out the mouth on my bento CATWA head. The item came with an alpha specifically made to be used with the BOM function--which I do have an updated head that has the BOM button located in the Skin tab on the HUD. I have included a link to the product I purchased below: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/VALKYR-The-Mantis-Kiss-NEW/20984354 I don't completely understand BOM yet and have done some research, but from what I understand, it is made to work with all alphas removed. If this is the case, why does the updated CATWA head itself come with BOM-specific body alphas? Why do these alphas not make the designated parts invisible when they are applied? What is their purpose? I removed all other alphas from my avatar, clicked the BOM button on the HUD and applied the alpha that came with this product. I got to the "red" stage that shows the BOM function is working, but the alpha did nothing. I also tried the CATWA BOM-designated alphas, and they seemed to do nothing. I am using the recently updated Firestorm Viewer. Is there a step I might be missing? I would appreciate any insight anyone might have. Thank you in advance! --Suma
  7. The tails are directly modifiable in Second Life, but what I'm trying to do goes beyond just tinting the color, because the texture I want to create will have a base tail color and then a different color for the tail tips. Photoshop does have a "Color Overlay" option in the layer effects that could prove useful, and that sounds similar to what you're suggesting. I might create two separate overlays, save and upload the file to see what the result will look like. Anyway, thank you for input, Quitessa 🙂 P.S. I just remembered that Photoshop also has a "Gradient Overlay" option that can be customized. I'll might try that first.
  8. Oh, I see. That is odd, because I'm pretty sure I uploaded a .tga tattoo texture for the CATWA head not too long ago using similar methods. I updated my description above, but yes, I am just looking to create a custom color texture. So maybe I just need to keep things as they are and place a color layer over the no-alpha fur texture?
  9. Hello, everyone! I am new to creating custom textures and using mod kit texture files to customize items made by other creators. I use Adobe Photoshop and am attempting to put together a .tga file that I can upload to Second Life and use as a color texture applier for the [M.O.R.] Kitsune Tails. These are the files that were included in the mod kit: I have saved the shader with the alpha included as a .tga file (.png version shown here due to forum upload restrictions) and the others as .png files. I created a .psd document with all three layers, but I'm not sure if I have the shaders set up properly to work with the alpha channels. I am also not sure where or how to apply the custom color layer. I have watched a few generic tutorials on creating .tga files, but in this case I am lost. The following are screenshots of what I have set up currently: I would appreciate any insight anyone can give me, because this is all very confusing to me. Thank you in advance! —Sumairu Yokoshima a.k.a. Suma
  10. Hello, everyone! I am all about individuality when it comes to my characters, but I find that my Kitsune OC is difficult to keep current, as upgrading to a better quality body and head has forced me to change the markings/tattoos I had fallen in love with before. I would like to create a new, original set of markings that I can use on my current avatar and that I can carry with me moving forward. Is there anyone that would be interested in working with me on this commission piece? Let me know please. Thank you! ❤️ --Suma
  11. Hello, everyone. I am trying to track down a pair of cat ears--the white ones specifically used in the photos I've attached. I am in love with them, and I can't seem to find them in the marketplace. I've even messaged the creators of the separate products for which these photos were utilized, but I have yet to get a response from either. Does anyone recognize the maker of these neko ears? Thanks for your time! --Neki
  12. Well, the strange thing is, other dancers can log in. It just seems to be me.
  13. Hello, I just recently began having an issue with the tip jars in one of the clubs I am employed at in SL. For the past several days, when I click on a tip jar, nothing happens. I have also attempted to right click and use the "Touch" option. It gives me no error, nothing, but the menu that would allow me to log in simply does not appear. I have tried "Tex Refresh," deactivating and reactivating groups/titles., clearing my cache, using various tip jars in the room including floating jars. re-downloading the original Viewer, and even switching Viewers between the original and Firestorm. Strangely, when I go to other regions with clubs and tip jars, I click, and the menu pops up normally. Does anyone have any other advice? Thanks so much in advance! ღ --Neki
