There are times, when I am in world, that I do not want to be disturbed by a lot of IM's. How do I make myself invisible to ppl on my FL, without removing them or blocking them?

I didn't know about the mailbox magic trick, this after I abandoned a few homes. Thanks to reading the forum on Linden homes, I now know. Thanks to all you awesome senior members.

I am in the Belli area, the lag is very very bad, but I am noticing neighbors all around me, building garages, extra patios, etc, I tried to lower my max particles and everything else I could lower, and ended up seeing myself as an orange blob. So I had to revert back to the classic avi, to stop seeing that orange blob. I do not like the classic older avi, so I quickly reverted back to my lara mesh avi. Anyhow, as a new owner of a Traditional Home in the Belli area, I am decorating it, with all low prim stuff. Hope this will help in my small way as an effort to reduce lag, without the powers that be dictating how I want my avi to look. We were given these new linden homes because they can hold more prims, but I do think we all should do our best when decorating our new homes, to do so with low prim stuff

I still belong to another virtual world. I too have heard that the other v. world I belong to is dying. Looking at the number of ppl on the other world each night, I can only conclude it is dying. Use to be close to 2 k every night, now is does good if it reaches 800 a night. I have been a member of SL for a long time now, but just recently started taking a new interest in it. Before I did not like it for many reasons, so I stayed on the other world. Now here I am again, on SL and finding it a lot more fun than it once was. So many things here to do and see. Can go to a different area and experience each night, or stay happily in your NEW linden home. Yes, I do love the new and improved lindens home.

I want to keep my last name - Amour

The Franknap I knew , the very first time I joined SL with him, he is still Franknap But after we went our separate ways he created a new acct. - Franknap1. so even if the last name you want is not available you can just put a number behind it till you see that name is avaiblable We do NOT need last names assigned to us Please no going back. Only going forward

How come Newbie want a given last name? They are so hard to remember. How come we just can't chose our last names. Even newbies know how to do this. Very confusing though when SL is telling the newbies they must pick one of the names, they are given to pick. Best that SL powers that be, let the newbies, pick their own last name. My last name is Amour. It will remain Amour, till my partner and I desperate or untill we no longer live on SL

Yes! I would log on as one user name, a long time ago then forget that user last name by the next time I logged on a year later. How come SL is going backwards instead of forward?

Oh that makes me feel much better. Right now what I consider to be my last name is Amour, same as the man I am partnered with in SL. My first name is Lulabells ty so very much

Thank you Gem. I actually figure out how to get the home of my dreams. Thanks to suggestions here in the forums. Senior members have been a great help. I am still waiting on a Victorian home. Seems I am not fast enough grabbing one , but maybe my luck will change again ty all very much.

I wish we would not be made to have last names. I remember from a long time ago when we had to pick a last name and I did not like it then. Hate to be so negative, but I hope we are not made to take on a last name we do not want.

Ty Alwin, I didn't realize I was using caps. Yes I use a cap at beginning of each sentence. Is that acceptable?

How can you go for a walk in the Belissera region if you don't have a home there?
