  1. Actually, I haven't been in a club for ages. Usually I just hang around with my subs, meet and mingle with others, or explore SL.
  2. Actually, I don't really care about ARC Currently, I'm wearing a simple outfit: The CC Drone Suit as catsuit, a Vintage Watch leash holder, my Akeruka Maia head, some Piercings(earrings, eyebrow rings, and a septum ring), [D'eViL] ankle ballet boots, my Maitreya Bento hands, an invisible collar, and Wasabi April hair. And yet, my complexity is whopping 231,051.
  3. So it seems I'm overall likeable 😎
  4. Actually, I don't. It's just that this account here was born Jan 15, 2017. But usually I don't change outfits often either.
  5. It's "You should take your own advice, because saying I’m a [...] isn’t challenging yourself to control the way in which you respond ; it’s being rude"
  6. I think someone here is really bored - and confusing a forum thread for an echo chamber... 🙄
  7. @GuardianNikki: The most current Singularity version is Build 7766 (for Windows and Linux). https://virtual-nexus.xyz/down/index.php Use that, instead of any of the obsolete versions from this site 😎 By the way, the Singularity devs plan to release a new main version »soon™« - which obviously will be the then most current and stable "Nightly Build", just with another number. Or that. http://sldev.free.fr/ The Cool VL Viewer is always up-to-date, and uses the V1.x UI as well.
  8. Being a writer, I do use punctuation wherever I feel it necessary. However, while chatting inworld, I neglect capitalization way more often than I should. 😔
  9. Oh, in roleplay terms, I probably wrote a few novels back in '08-'10 when I was roleplaying with my first account. I still keep some of the chatlogs saved for later use for a story based on that roleplay, using the character I played. But for actual novels, I did write some indeed: So far, I've self-published a novel* in German, and its translation into English, and a little 30 page short TG story in English on Amazon. And currently I'm working on a sequel to this novel, and on a sequel to that short story. And I'm collecting ideas for the 2nd sequel to the novel - which begins about 1 year after the end of the first novel -- and will also be in the same "story universe" as the Short Story.😎 *This 200 pages or so long novel I published is actually based on the first two chapters of a crappy novel I wrote back then in '06 😣
  10. With my female avatar, I'd always say "Don't ask me to voice. You'd be disappointed. I sound like a mix of Nico and Tanita Tikaram." 😎
  11. Oh, and @operationhammerman: You write as if using an avatar of the opposite gender were a bad thing. I'd wager a guess that 99.999x % don't use an avatar of the opposite gender for nefarious reasons. Hint: Second Lifeâ„¢ is not a Real Life Dating Platform - even though there have been quite a few couples who evolved from a strictly inworld couple to a happy RL family. PS: There are many many reasons for NOT using voice. Some of them have been mentioned here in this very thread. And not every female avatar who refuses to voice is controlled by a RL male.
  12. What are you afraid of? That you become insta-gay by just having virtual contact with someone who has the same RL gender as you? As long as you don''t want physical contact in Real Lifeâ„¢, what's wrong with genderbenders, or RL women who simply don't want to voice?
  13. If I remember correctly, it's been often used by Escorts (and "verified" by their employee) -- simply because some of their costumers idiotically are afraid they could suddenly turn gay by having SLex with someone of the same RL gender.
  14. Never had that happen to me, sorry. I can only guess that you might have data loss or something, due to your internet connection.
  15. Just that SL is not a game. And SL is especially not such a stupid MMO or shooter game where your character will die -- and only respawn if you're lucky. If it were up to me, Voice would only be able to be activated on educational regions or on other regions were they give talks and/or classes (like Builders' Brewery, the Ivory Tower, and so on) -- and only while they're giving these talks / classes. Simply because all the off-screen noise coming with voice in 99% of all cases is simply an annoyance.
  16. I don't use voice at all anymore, even have switched it off entirely. In my opinion, it breaks immersion. When I'm inworld, I'm inworld, and don't need off-screen noise. Even with my former account, I only used voice occasionally, for example in a "Voice Cafe" inworld. But that was "OOC" chatter, and I was mentally prepared *and willing* to cope with off-screen noise, or with voices not matching the inworld appearance, and all that weird stuff using Voice on a Linux machine for a while. But even then, I went off voice again after an hour at latest.
  17. Actually, I'm glad that LL didn't implement those functions. 😈 I don't even look at web profile feeds (don't even see them, as my viewer settings show only "legacy" profiles), this twitter wannabe thing doesn't interest me at all. And a "shout wall" for locations? No thank you. And a publicly available calendar? No thank you. A group-only calendar, accessible by group members only, would be much better. As for social media, I do have a FB account under my real name since '07 I think, but rarely log in there -- and when I do, then it's the only website on my browser until I log out there. After leaving FB, I close the browser (and automatically delete cookies and stuff), and open it up again for the other sites I use to visit.
