They did their very best   They can’t make everyone happy but they can some different stuff for best time they may had only so much time it takes a lot of work to make things so give them some love. Be thankful they work hard.

The only underlying intention to subtly encourage individuals to be less jerky to their fellow residents out of fear. Fear of roving gangs of griefers, fear of anyone they don't know, fear of someone camming into their bedroom and reporting them...

trouble is, this actually happens, self appointed keyboard warriors like we have on the forums, who think they can claim the  moral right to report a couple, or a few individuals enjoying themselves in the privacy of their SL homes.  This does make the mind boggle Abnor.

Actually, they wouldn't be able to if they are not a premium member, you have to be a premium member to be able to buy land in the first place.
If that were the case, then everyone would be creating groups just to be able to buy land. :)

they could also sell it to anyone else under your nose, or abandon it.........................................

    heed the advice given.

Phil asked about the Belliseria covenant is was explained to him that in Bellisseria we work from the concept that people should be giving people the benefit of the doubt rather than assuming every avatar that happens to enter your parcel has ill intent. That is why we amended the covenant to disallow devices to automatically add avatars to the parcel ban list. He pointed out that his could do the same thing essentially by adding them automatically to the device's blacklist (and that wasn't expressly disallowed in the covenant according to his interpretation).

I agreed that it is essentially the same thing... and because of that I recommend not including that feature in the "Bellisseria" setting on the device he makes and sells.

I applaud him for wanting to make a security device that makes it easy for users to know they are complying with the covenant. I simply pointed out that adding features that use loopholes in the letter of the law to get around it and violating the spirt behind it is not the way to go. When that happens we will just amend the covenant again if we have to, making such "Bellisseria compliant" devices non-compliant. And then he will have to change it anyway if he wants to sell and advertise it as a "Bellisseria compliant" device.

Well simple solution.  Let anyone who gets zapped by it abuse report it.

Soon see what Governance have to say.

    A thousand times this.
And not only in Bellisseria IMHO.
That 15 second rule should become part of the TOS of SL.

For once Sid I disagree with you 100%

I live near an airport on the mainland, I use sky boxes.

Amount of people trying to fly right on demanding access is ridiculous.  My land, my privacy.

So my orb is zero seconds, and always will be.  (Neighbours are whitelisted ofc).

    Perfectly legal according to Governance.

I don't like the belli covenant so I won't live there, quite simple.

    2. Mobile app? Imvu, despite it's limitations has gained a lot of popularity. Why doesn't Secondlife have a mobile app? They even blacklisted the one that was half decent. Why do that? That would've increased the range of Secondlife so much.

Lumiya was never blacklisted, the creator vanished from SL despite all the rumuors of what allegedly happened to her.  So LL had no real choice other than to remove it from the TPV accordingly.  It still works perfectly fine as a chat client.

    4. For land encroachment issues (e.g. into protected water or land), sometimes they take no action even though there is an obvious violation. @Abnor Mole often says just because you can do something, that doesn't mean you should do it. (btw in Belli, if you encroach, make it look like what Moles build)

What I've noticed from living on the mainland, if your build seriously obstructs something they'll usually act.  If it's a tiny corner of a fence , house etc that very slightly encroaches (eg doesn't affect the road of waterway, or someone else's land) it's left alone.

Each case is looked at uniquely.

lthough I don't use mind altering drugs, I have read drugs being used by shaman to change people's personalities, a lot of people get into micro dosing and report having changed.  Traumatic brain injury also changes people, such as the reason why lobotomies were at one time so prevalent, as well as electroshock therapy.

My own personality has shifted through the years, constantly shifting to and from, perhaps that is a constant with me though.  Beyond my personality and behavior, one thing I know has remained consistent is a simple awareness of my own existence which has remained the same as far back as I can recall.

I have seen old school mates change,  and people who who I once considered friends change just by spending too much time on social media, where they have been repeatedly fed mind altering feeds, they started to change into rather cruel people who were spiteful and full of hate.  It is a pretty sad thing to witness, what was once a loving person turn to hate

or there are some poor souls, who have never touched drugs or alcohol, who end up schizophrenic.

  9. seems to me a WHOLE lot of people getting worked up over nothing.

I won't post stuff going on in the real world that actually counts, like the war in Ukraine that's displaced 40 million odd people, Russia threatening to sink ships that try to ship grain to Africa etc.  You know, stuff that REALLY matters and affects people.

After all, we can't upset sensitive people in a virtual world, can we.

The definition of 'vulnerable' is to be susceptible  (influenced or harmed) to either a physical OR emotional attack.

You better believe that if one of my close friends in SL attacked me emotionally, saying nasty things, that I would feel quite hurt by it!

then you need to man up.

as the old saying goes: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names can never hurt me"

  11. if people are that stupid to pay those prices, then they deserve to be ripped off.

Do your homework, look for abandoned land.

Skybox? you could get away with using mountain land which is largely abandoned.

Ground level house? search those empty sims for a plot the size you want.

Sailing? use one of the public rezz zones, most LL water sims have a rezz zone on them.

Driving? same as above, use the public rezzing zones on LL roads.

File a support ticket, and LL will sell you it for 1l$ a metre.  Just make sure you take advantage of the 10% group bonus (deed your land to a group and get 10% extra)
