  1. Moose Beach is the best beach. Do a search it has it all: nice people, mean people, furries, crustacea, aliens, babes, surfer dudes......
  2. Looking for my next girl friend sitting in my favorite spot
  3. Wouldn't SL be so much better if Griefers, Trolls and bots were gone. I know it is a pipe dream. LL has known that the number one reason that people leave is due to abuse. So for all these years they have done some amazing things but they have never made a real push to clear out the swamp.
  4. It may be legal, but it sucks. I agree with @MsMagick. It should be disclosed and to start it without notification is wrong.
  5. @Luna Bliss If you are the same Luna Bliss that has the landscape then the price may well be worth it. Your stuff is fantastic.
  6. i know a griefer that rezzed 24 started avatars just to annoy people at one popular info hub. It was lag inducing and an ugh-fest . Who has that kind of time to make 24 alts just to be a troll?
  7. Most people that own sims can build at least as good as Mediterranean Splendor. I think from the pictures in the add it looks a bit like a design from 2010. I may be wrong; it is just my opinion. I can tell you I would not pay $813.64 at the Linden rate for that. Discuss amongst yourselves.....
  8. I was sent this article from a female friend of mine. I think it was a hint but I, like most guys, don't get subtlety. You can read the full article here: https://waitbutwhy.com/2013/10/10-types-of-30-year-old-single-guys.html So this is for fun - do you know any of these types of guys? 1) The Total Package 2) The New Lease On Life Guy 3) The Guy Who Has To Marry Someone Of The Same Ethnicity Or His Parents Will Never Speak To Him Again 4) The Misogynist 5) The Guy Who Peaked Too Early 6) The Guy Who’s Finally a Good Catch 7) The Normal Guy Who Just Hasn’t Met The Right Girl Yet And He Really Wishes People Would Stop Looking At Him With Those Pitying Eyes 8) The Aggressively Online Dating Guy Who Can’t Believe He’s Not Married Yet 9) The In-The-Closet Guy 10) The Guy Who Has Just Fully Quit At This Point
  9. [does not know the answer but has made popcorn and is very interested in the outcome]
  10. Well this explains why the water behind my house is so popular. I thought it was hot chicks checking me out, but nnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooo. Humble 1 - Ego 0
  11. And we have an update....... Derp,,,, no investigation needed - we can't log in. SOLVED - now fix it, please.
  12. @K9Mark That is the largest grief prim I have ever seem, Truly a sight and I thank you for sharing it. I hope the owners can get that removed.
  13. @Theresa Tennyson and @Rolig Loon I thank you both for your information. I was able to develop a script that rotates a 10m circle very slowly. Sitting in a chair while it rotates does not show any stutter but I have a high end graphics card and no lag where I am located. I will give it a try and if it doesn't work when in situ I will take Mitch Hedberg's advice about escalators and just have it become a floor. Thank you again.
  14. I have a tower that I just built and I wanted to do sort of a revolving restaurant thing with one of the floors. I was told in a general conversation at an info hub that things that revolve like for sale signs are not allowed. I cannot seem to find a reference. Many of you are much more learned than I. Can someone tell me if revolving objects are allowed on your property. PS This is mainland property.
  15. @Aislin Ceawlin I agree with you that many commentators in this forum can be mean, I say many because if I were to leave off that modifier someone would chime in and say "I am not mean, you moron".
  16. Thank you for the information. I will try this.
  17. I am having trouble find a place In-World for window and roof textures. When I do a search under classified using the viewer search I am not getting places that have a variety. I do not like using SL Marketplace. So If anyone can give me the name of an In-World place that has a lot of textures, I would be very appreciative. Thanks
  18. @LittleMe Jewell I must have misread that she is NEWBIE to the Forums.
  19. @Claireschen Hesten Abandoned as in the owner is not using it right now not abandoned as in owned by Linden Labs. Also to your second point I just did this on the abandoned land next to my home. Maybe its a sim by sim thing. The point is that by diligently seeking out property you can squat for a short period of time.
  20. @LexxiXhanMost have told me that they find it by wandering around. My friend found the sim by just going sim to sim until he found one. You have to check the land by right clicking and reading the about land. Then read the options tab. The important one is that the land is set for everyone to build.
  21. There are places that are abandoned and you can squat on that land. The problem is that your house will be there one day and gone the next. When I bought my first piece of property the previous owner had set the land to allow anyone to build. There was a squatter there; I gave the guy days notice and then returned all his stuff. A friend of mine had a whole sim to himself for months. He used it like a great big sandbox. So it is possible to find a place on a temp basis. I do not think it is really wrong to do this but I can see how others might think so.`
  22. For me it is worth it. I enjoy having my own land. However, I am glad that I rented first. I made a lot of mistakes on my rented land and I learned. Now I have a great property that cost me L$2,000. There are some things to consider about owning land. The first is the rating of the land:G, M, or A. There is a great deal of mainland land available. G rated land is cheaper than M or A rated land. Second, you still rent with mainland. If you have over 512m in space there are tier costs. For a premium member who is already paying $6/month premium, a 2048m lot will cost an additional $8/month in land tier. Tier prices can be found here: https://secondlife.com/land/pricing.php
  23. If you are patient in looking for property, you can fin a great place that is cheap. My 2048m ran me L$2,000. But I had to look for about a week to find it. There is soooo much land now you can find a good deal. There is one place I have always wanted but I cannot go the $110 real dollars to buy it; for me it is just too much. One other thing you are probably aware of but I will mention anyway. G rated land is cheaper than M or A rated land.
