like i said... so many new already made great looks, even clothes they come as an outfit ready made. often shoes included.
and all aiming at individuality , so yes, its hard to be individual now.

Remeber the title? "...according to me". And i was passing on a critique of what i dont like without mentioning names or outfit, just bad taste in my opinion . as someone else might see it same as me, just like for some one else might be very cool.

Actually I don't use a translator lmao. and even spell check is not working as this version of chrome is in italian. soI get only italian spellcheck on every single word i write in English. Argh... frustrating! basically all I am saying is that in 10 years of SL I've seen it all, the full transformation process from standard avatar that only very few knew how to make it look so good that they'd stood out and were hard to replicate to the mesh era, with skins as in already made movie stars looks. To me all that has certanly increased the visual quality but has somehow downgraded that exclusive, unique, individual look we used to create 5 years ago. And again there wasn't many of us with the candy look. Last year i deceided to invest on my avatar and abandon the standard look. I was so scared to loose the look i worked so hard at getting with a standard avatar. So i changed, Bought a Slink body and a head, Catwa daniel. Table viviant had some nice skins for Daniel, Then of course feet and animated hands. I didnt have to change the AO as it was one of my best attributes, But now i was shopping for mesh clothes.. finally. As a male avatar I always had a hard time to find nice clothes, my designer was Table Viviant, Cocos Gothic Cats and wore a lot of gothic looking outfits. I liked the fact that you could wear a shirt under a jacket without going through the mesh... still the new me was well exposed to the public as a DJ in the most popular places and the comments in IM complimenting on a great looking avatar and my fan club grew very fast. I remember at Energy at the end of a set someone said in public you've got to be the cutest DJ in SL. Love your looks ...just saying. hahaha I laughed so hard at that but felt very humbled by it. I knew then that as far as looking different and better than most i was on the right path. Needless to say that i had to change quickly my looks and clothes as fast enough i was spotting my pants my jackets my shoes my hair on others. lol

I just find it incredible that so many people had no problem and went on creating importing and even making tutorials and I. with so much experience in 3D modelling and rigging for animation outside second life i cant do a simple process of rigging a cat suit to an avatar using avastar latest version and Blender lates version. 110 joints...? the 12 patters that stitched make the single object could have more than 110 connecting vertices but when i unified the pattern i also welded it so the vertices are connected. so litterally its a single piece. that just needs to be rigged. i managed to succesfully rig and import one version of that using blender and avastar . i made a mistake in the patterns and did not double sided or turn the faces of the 2 d pattern.
maybe a catsuit is too much?

Thank you, the owner of avastar Gaia herself was there, i spoke to her and instead of a simple help i got attitude and a full refund of the 10k i paid for avastar, to me absolutelly useless., I'll rig the mesh in my animation program Lightwaveor Maya and it will work, I have no longer need for avastar or any freeware toy animation prgram.

I dont have to leave my sandbox, called acidic, the sim i own and where i have not one, but 2 clubs and... yes, unfotunatelly for you I am Snoopy the owner of Reds International and Hangar 2 strictly techno, and yes i have been lagged out at boiler ohh so many times, as i have DJed in just about every single clubs in SL including Energy, Dance island, underworld, systematic, code 415, aqua, soho, exhel, MoH, QClub, Squte, Prority Hydra and the list goes on and on, so I should ask you... "what are you talking about"? lol Clearly you missed the point, SL is not only clubbing, although i have seen some pretty disgusting choices of looks in that very club you mentioned, the Boiler and others, SL is a lot of things. So many activities and each can have a particular look we can chose to have. Boating, flying, exploring, RP and so many more or simply entertaining at home,going shopping, leasure living, relaxing on a sandy beach.attending to events such as dance companies , theatre, gala events.

Rigging for SL in BLENDER 2.79b using Avastar 2.79 and MD 6 personal
I think I am an intelligent person, and I do have many years experience in 3D modeling and animation, yet, I simply can not find a logical method which makes some sense to actually rig and import my finished mesh clothes work in second life. I have imported, but solid object which simply ar not rigged to the armature of my inworld avatar. It's perfectly rigged in blender and in "pose" mode i can move the bones and the garment will follow. But after saving it or rather exporting it with all the option correctly flagged, the stupid thing at the: "import a mesh into second life", the weights are not available. greyed out. which means either one of the two program( Firestorm or blender) are stupid or I am missing something, not obvious but rather obscured, hidden and not easy to find. I watched hours and hours of tutorials obviously completely useless because they use early version of the softwares and are nothing like the newest version of MD, Blender and that ridiculously expensive plug-in AVASTAR Yes, I am frustrated like I've never been before and i can't find anyone to help me. Can someone here point me in the right direction to get me out of this stupid loop? Please...

disagreeing is fantastic, thats whyt it's a topic for discussion, Each will have their POV and at the end some might even change their point of view. In no way i want to be an authority when it comes to be individualist i can only share what works for me and helps me meet peole who are like me.

Well.. to me it is, but that's my INDIVIDUALISM. heheheh
Yep, call that an intro, i will write more and even give examples, although some of the shots published here show already a lot of creativity and not scared to dare. Great work!

Ok, that's an easy one... for many. But for those that are still obscurelly searching for an answer, well... The answer is knowing who you are. I could say, "would like to be" but that requires a constant effort and let's face it, if you're here regularly in world. you'd have came to relax and being someone else is hard work. Sooner or later, the real you emerges and takes over that, by now, long gone or lost interest in it person you wanted to be. It's a natural process and most every one go through it. This brings a "new life" in any gamer's world, in Second life, an ALT! That doesn't mean Stop, not at all. It means a new character, to individualize and this time different cause last one, well.. just didn't work.
Methods
So you can even become an expert at individualize characters. A good friend of mine does that, it's his way of having fun on SL. So the expert at individualize an avatar should start by knowing onself. Looks, are very important. We want to strike as very cool. But not too cool. Penetrating looks are the best. It causes attention at standing out and makes other wonder... Questions for the more derring, thus curiosity, This last is always a great ingredient at individualize. Make sure you get some nice body animation to add to your standard AO. Keep it in theme of Curiosity. Original animations work best. So not common animations, And whilst on that subject, please... Restrain some how, hold on to that unstoppable desire to poke your tongue out, too many times. For that's a medical condition in RL and very serious. lmao.
Start with a good head and equally good body. Even there girls, please look around. Enough of bumpy brazilian style asses, There is a world of other creative excellent bodies, Look at the asses I'd say...
The actual shaping of a character starts with a good skin, The more expensive the more realistic, in my opinion. You can make some alterations (Sliders) to your head shape, size and so forth and can change so much the look of that skin you originally saw, bought and loved, This is the part of your real self you can add to make your avatar more you. It is you after all that wants to come out there. So show them who you are.
Dress code o non dress code.
What to wear in second life.
SL is casual wear, Tank tops hoodies and jeans. I am not going to advertise anyone here. Why should I express my preference of clothes labels? The majority of people here seams to be trend followers and I must admit, for fashion, in both males and especially in female there is an incredible selection of amazing clothes, shoes and accessories for both male and female, Tatts are favourites but are they making you look like so many others...? If you going to get a tattoo, think about one that you like, then have it custom made. A tattoo is a message, so say who you are. It all goes towards individualising your avatar.
I'm going to end it here for the time being. Let's open a discussions about those bits mentioned above.

Generally, premesh avatars from 10 years ago, covered in flexy prims and bling scripts tend to have higher rci scores than mesh avatars... Sorry but the "clueless perma noob fossil mesh hating tech-illiterate neanderthals of SL" card wont play here.

DJ's... I remember when DJ's KNEW THEIR PLACE...
A DJ is there to take requests, play records, and... change the record at the end of the song... THAT'S IT.
DJ's are NOT artistes, they barely count as 'celebrities', and that's only when they work on a popular radio station with widespread broadcasting.
You blather about 10 years experience, then admit you spent 5 of those years elsewhere, and then make comments about mesh that show you learned naff all in the 5 years you DID spend in SL.
You also include some utterly pointless rant about all the dance clubs you are banned from, as if we give a rats backside about your DJ-Ego drama wars.
And finally... Learn to use paragraph breaks...
OH MY GAWD! What an attitude.. This is the typical trolls I have seen so much in SL and frankly I want to stay away from. Not only you are ranting about things you haven't got a clue, but you also lack knowledge and you assume a hell of a lot.. You have no idea who you are debating with. You know nothing about my experience but seam to have a great time commenting negativelly about anything I wrote. Your comments on this are as helpfull as a can of camel escrements in a desert full of flyes. Thank you, how ever for coming out in the open and showing everyone the kind of person you are. Well, I thought I wrote this to help some people. But coming to think of it you don't need any help. I can see the trolls are alive and well, and further more if you think a DJ takes requests and just puts records on, next time use a jukebox and start your line dancing routine. I'm done here. Hehehe newbie? me....? lmao, Over 9 Years on SL hahah Newbie my ass. I think look at target is actually a fun way to talk without saying anything, it's part of the game of SL, Some people are too shy to say anything to pepel they don't know, yet they might like a particular avatar, Let's be honest, many people will not admit this but experience tells me otherwise, most avi are looking for a partner if they haven't got one or in some cases are open to upgrade their current one for a better looking one. So much shallow and materialistic SL can be. Mind you, Not everyone will fall under this category, but (once again) experience proves me right and most actually do. So I'd say, make good use of look at target and check out those who will put their name above yours, especially if it's in blue (that means they are looking at your profile), yep, that very thing you spent hours perfecting to give out just the right impression of you to whom ever is going to read it. What ever your thing is, just make sure you're always having fun, if you are not, it's time to log off and go do something else in RL.

On Friday May 11 Reds will visit the ancient city of ROME. The club will look totally different and to be more in line with ancient Rome, the party will be a TOGA party. Wear a toga or wear a gladiator outfit, we'll have lions and tigers ready to fight with you to the last blood in the arena. Wear a roman soldier outfit and show us all how its done. 4k for the best costumes and a fantastic line up of DJs.
