  1. -Which is why I employ blocking IMs. -I will revise the original post, then (edit: actually I can't anymore.)
  2. Look, I made that thread long ago. It wasn't about breasts specifically. I admit I phrased the question wrong but I was simply wondering about a certain aspect of life, like I always do. If you thought I was trolling, go ahead, but I made that post more because of naivete. I shouldn't have made that thread, I regret it. One thing I will say definitely is that I wasn't trying to "virtue signal" when I made that thread. I'd also like to say I've changed somewhat (even if my posts still seem like trolling.)
  3. As stated in the title, today I've decided to disable incoming IMs from people who aren't in my accounts' friendlists. I'm not doing this for every account of mine, just the ones that present as women. IMs from strangers were just too annoying so I eventually had to do this. I realize there may drawbacks to this - I (as my woman accounts) may not see communications from kind, genuine people who have no hidden intentions but just simply prefer IM over local chat for example, but I understand that it's a sacrifice I have to make. Once I disabled IMs, when using one of my woman accounts in social area I felt like a weight was lifted from my shoulder. I no longer felt at edge anticipating yet another annoying IM from a thirsty man. I felt more free I guess; it was liberating.
  4. Thanks for the assurance everyone about my use of alts. @Modulated I guess you're right, I do like to ask questions....
  5. I guess I never grew out of that "imaginary friend" phase. There's Gopi the grey alien (well he is one most of the time), John the shapeshifter, a bunch of women, a bunch of men, and a whole lot of various non-humans. Questions for you: -What do you use alt accounts for? -BONUS: Is what I'm doing - having alt accounts as imaginary friends/enemies/etc. - bad?
  6. I now use Lelutka for my woman avis (paired with Maitreya Lara or LaraX), but for my man avis I still use Catwa (paired with Belleza Jake.) I might try putting a Lelutka head on one of my men to see what it's like (considering most of the marketplace stuff now is for Lelutka heads).
  7. There's avatars of many different species, but the dominant and most prolific species of avatar are humans, just like in Star Wars. Humans seem to be at the top in both the Second Life virtual world and in the Star Wars world.
  8. Much appreciated! I will try it out soon! You have my thanks!
  9. Why...the best, most fitting apparel for a great samurai! I suppose the outfit and any other wearables?
  10. My man avatar has a Catwa head and a Belleza Jake body! You! Do you have suggestions on how I can be a great samurai?
  11. Not the user themselves, but....their avatar? I thought some other female human avatars were pretty (much more than mine), but not to the point I would have a crush on them.
  12. "In Time" is a Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried 2011 sci-fi movie where people stop aging at age twenty-five. People are able to live youthfully forever, but lifetime is sort of a currency where the wealthy can live forever but the poor are sentenced to die early. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637688/ That movie reminds me of Second Life because in the virtual world most of the human and humanoid avatars mostly look like young adults who most likely will not age as time goes on, just like in "In Time".
  13. Thanks for the replies everyone. Yeah, I agree SL should be a place where you can be allowed to be anything, even the (imaginary) person you desire. (Yes, I know I opened Pandora's Box with this thread.)
  14. I probably mentioned it here before, and I know it sounds pathetic, but I like to make pretty female avatars to look at because I don't have a girlfriend in real life.
  15. Another interesting response. Yeah, I see what you mean that non-humans can also be diverse and customizable, but why I find human avis most interesting is more due to a "social science" perspective. But your post makes sense and I agree.
  16. Ah interesting. Yeah, I agree it's harder to customize non-human avis. I haven't and will not stop using them, though.
  17. ...the most interesting avatars (as a group) happen to be humans themselves. Why? It's a little hard to explain, but I guess it has to do with the diversity of human avis. Humans can be different shapes, sizes, colors, and all sorts of physical features. They can have different hairstyles, clothing, accessories, and others. This diversity of humans is kinda interesting to observe and study (hence all the university and graduate students coming to this board wanting to make studies on Second Life avatars.) You can for example, see how human appearance in Second Life compares to that of the real world. You can see how the treatment of different types of human avatars reflects that of the real world. I guess to sum it up as badly as possible, human avatars are most interesting because of the science involved!
  18. Have the Lab turn them into one second orbs instead! Ain't that a woman's name? Nope, sorry, we're all badly scripted chatbots. Sorry to burst your bubble. When you're hungry. PBR? Reminds me of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. So yeah. But it is a game. (Actually, that's pretty apt for this topic and I guess me as well....) What is real? How do you define real?
  19. The only answer: swipe that credit card more! In life it's all about the Benjamins!
  20. Interesting. Have you tried using Tomtom instead? I think that's a much better GPS brand! Maybe you're a missing a setting to maximize? I'd double check! I guess give your computer some energy-boosting supplements to speed it up?
  21. I think you need to download more RAM to play it? I'm playing it on my Pentium before I did that and like I can't hit any enemies! After I did, I'm like dude, I'm Lv. 9000 now!
