  1. The bouncy castles look like so much fun! I never knew they existed and now I must make serious plans to go bounce later! Thank you very much! 😁😊
  2. That is a lovely idea. They deserve to be praised for all the work they do. Lol...to the part of your post I was way too shy to quote. πŸ˜‚
  3. I haven't observed the moles or even met one in person, but I do know they work really hard. I'm sorry they're getting harassed. That just isn't right. They're doing their job the right way. what happened to having patience and realizing good things take time? I really hope they don't close themselves off. Someday I hope to have the joy of meeting them. I might run away out of shyness, but it would be super neat! I might even be fan girling a bit if that happened. πŸ˜‚
  4. I'm really shy so please forgive my awkwardness ahead of time. Thank you to all the Lindens and Moles for all the hard work they do so we have such a beautiful community and world to be part of. Second Life is a place with endless possibilities. It is an incredibly beautiful place. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful place where I can walk and bike ride since I no longer can in real life. It means a lot. πŸ’•β€οΈπŸ’•
  5. i think creating churches in Bellisseria would do more harm for the community because not everyone follows the same spiritual path, or follows one at all. I love the diversity we have and wouldn't want anything to threaten that type of community. A community center sounds better. If people can find comfort in different types of support groups, that is wonderful and I'm glad it helps them. Personally, I come to sl to forget about being chronically ill and simply feel like me for awhile. Here I don't have to be ruled by pain all the time and I choose to focus on that. Just my thoughts.
  6. I was out for a walk with my daughter Edith, and we ran into this beautiful girl pup named Dreamer! Apparently she loves water because right before this photo was taken she was splashing away in the pool! Say hello if you see her around! β˜ΊοΈπŸ’—
  7. Very true and wonderful idea about the notecard I think. I'm still learning so much even after 10 and a half years of being here.
  8. They are an older region of premium homes that are medieval/fantasy themed.
  9. I'm so sorry you came back to something like that. It couldn't of felt good. Your neighbor's actions says a lot about what kind of person they are. I'm deaf and there have been times when objects make noise that I can't hear. I've learned just to be sure my noise is restricted to my parcel just to make sure. I only learned about this in the last few years though. Not everyone knows about restricting noise to their parcel. Accidents happen. I can't even imagine how it would of made me feel to login to what you did. Most likely break down into tears if I'm honest. What your neighbor did was cruel and I don't care how long your music was going. No one deserves to be treated that way. I like to think your neighbor's ilk is few and far between in Bellisseria. That kind of person isn't worth the attention or time. 😊
  10. I apologize that it isn't that great of a photo, but I was so happy to finally see the Bellisseria Squirrel @ the SL16B. ☺️
  11. πŸ’— I have personally loved this thread and all the wonderful animals that have decided to come out and be part of the community. I'm so very shy, but I find myself going on walks with my daughter or bike riding just to see if I can spot one of the many adorable little critters now roaming around. It has actually helped put me at ease and I'm so thankful for that. Rex started something so great and inspiring that others have come to join in. I find that absolutely marvelous! I'm sorry this is so sappy. I just love animals and what community is ever complete without them? The Bellisserian community spirit isn't fabled. I just think it means different things for different people since we are all individuals. Like any community there are going to be bumps in the road, but it doesn't mean the spirit isn't there. I've still yet to venture out far to meet others, but this is the first actual community that has made me feel welcome enough to actually make the first step in wandering the continent and finding all the treasures that Bellisseria holds that the Moles and residents have created. Maybe someday even chatting with others comfortably that I come across. Saying more than a hello to them. Who knows? For a person with anxiety, I thank this community for that. Sorry to go off subject and also for my long winded post. I just really think this thread is so lovely and enjoyable. It is a beautiful and simple enjoyment for everyone whether they have a home in Bellisseria or not. ❀️
  12. I've never been to Linden Realms, but the video and story arc happening here is so fun! It actually makes me curious to go check it out! Solving a good mystery can be rather enjoyable. Good job LL! 😊
  13. Some very simple photos of our little family home. Nothing fancy, but still thought I would share. I apologize if way too many photos. I was trying to show all the angles.
  14. Apparently a Bellisseria fox named Elfie. 🦊
  15. I'm still thankful for the 300L per week even with the upcoming price increase. I don't really feel at this point there should be an increase for the weekly stipend. After the initial shock and upset from it, I just realized how much use I actually get from my premium membership which is a lot. I'll still be getting my money's worth even with the price increase. It fits my budget needs so I really cannot ask for more than that. I only wish they were keeping quarterly payment option because it really is beneficial and I think it shouldn't be grandfathered. I'm super happy they changed their mind on taking groups away from basic members. As to suggesting taking away the stipends older basic member accounts get, just no. I think there has been enough of the have and have nots approach over the past week. Alienating part of the community isn't going to solve things. I just want things to be fair for everyone. 😊
  16. I just really want to thank everyone for such s lovely thread that made me laugh which I really needed today! I apologize for being off topic, but just thank you for the wonderful topic. I really do agree that living in my little family home is like a breathe of fresh air. At 41, I really just want to login to enjoy my family and friends in a peaceful and beautiful setting. Of course in spirit of the topic... You young whipper snapper's better stay off my lawn! πŸ˜‚
  17. I've been in sl for over ten years. Not on this account. On an older account that I deleted a few years back. In the majority of that time I've always been a premium member for many reasons. It was just always the better alternative for my tight budget. I have always paid quarterly. With premium, I'm always guaranteed a home I don't have to worry about paying rent for. I get the weekly stipend which is also very nice and allows me to save up for things. It is just something that is a no hassle benefit for me. Especially at the price it was. Now, I do have to rethink a few things because I just signed my alt up for premium a month ago because the idea of just leaving the stipend to build up on my alt was appealing for me. I won't be able to keep up that second premium membership so there is a bit of disappointment here for me. I will keep my premium membership for now on my main account here. I'm not sure if I can do it annually because that is quite a lump sum for me. The increased number of groups isn't something I consistently need so that won't benefit or hinder either way. I'm sorry for the basic members who are seemingly being penalized for not being premium. Their number of groups in my opinion should of stayed the same while the premium member's simply increased. I do understand that need for prices to go up. I get it, but I also don't have to like it or be pleased about it. I'm just going to wait and see how things go. I've been a premium member for so long and would hate to have to drop it because it really has been the best thing for my rl budget in the past and I hope it continues to be the best way to manage things for me. Only time will tell I guess.
  18. How did you think it was going to go since you seem to have no issue calling out issues you find with others and insult those here who simply didn't agree with you by accusing them of being ok with something so disgusting as what you brought up? I'm sorry, but sometimes the issue lies within ourselves and not everyone else around us. it can be hard to face, but sometimes it's the truth. We all have moments like this and hopefully we learn something from them.
  19. You thought to ask if you should file an abuse report on a person for having objects in their home you found issue with instead of questioning your own behavior? Objects that were behind closed doors. You even got a polite warning in chat you weren't welcome there. Clearly they took all possible precautions. You put yourself in this situation. I get we all are curious about how neighbors decorate their homes, but to ask if you should punish someone because you took it upon yourself to invade their private space is just wrong. I don't understand that at all. Now that type of decor isn't my thing, but that is why my home isn't full of that stuff. I just mind my own business as long as others aren't breaking terms of service.
  20. As soon as I feel better and can get inworld, I'm going to have to visit this open house. I've never been to one and it sounds lovely. I can use some inspiration for my little family's home! 😊 I really hope no one feels the need to leave their home because another presumes it is okay to suggest such a thing. What ever happened to just letting others do what is right for them? I don't see how this is hurting anyone in the community. Let Linden Lab decide what is an actual problem and what isn't. Why has it become seemingly hard to focus on our own business and leave others to theirs when they are doing no harm?
  21. You should never let the opinions of others influence the decisions you voluntarily make. If you're going to give up your home and membership you quite obviously enjoy, that's on you and no one else. You stated you wish to be part of a community, and that is great. You must realize that communities are made up of individuals with different wants, needs and opinions. Accepting not everyone will agree with you and not abandoning your home over this fact is being part of a community. Don't run away from something you love just because of differing opinions please. Now when ban lines were first taken way, I was upset because I've had bad experiences with griefers and a stalker. I chose to give things an active chance though with setting up my own orb to meet the rules set forth in Belleserria? Sorry if I butchered the name. I've found I prefer orbs now. We set our parcel to where the noise and visibility is restricted to our parcel. Not just for my family, but courtesy for our neighbors as well. We have a daughter that can be quite happy, boisterous and loud. Where my boyfriend is more sociable, I'm very shy and timid. I get anxiety in many social situations and my home is my sanctuary. I love my neighborhood and neighbors. I never feel alone even with the settings on because there are green dots all over the place and that's wonderful. We ride our bicycles around and all people I've seen have waved or said hello which makes me reassured to do the same in turn even with my anxiety. Soon, we're gonna try sailing because we miss it terribly. The point is, we have a beautiful thing going with this new continent! Even with differences you will encounter. Everyone not being alike makes both worlds interesting. If you enjoy being open, by all means do so. Don't abandon something you love though because not everyone agrees with you. You're always going to get met with quiet or louder feedback in any community you choose to be part of. Right now in this thread were having a community discussion. That's pretty awesome and positive in my opinion! So just expect open discussion and not blind agreement in situations like this! It's all about respect on all sides. I hope you don't allow yourself to leave simply because others don't agree with you all the time. That would be a shame. So just be happy and be yourself! Realize though others have every right to do the same? Sorry for the novel. 😊 Even shy people have lots to say at times I guess. πŸ˜‚
  22. These are just my simple thoughts about things. My little family was lucky to get one of the linden homes in the first batch released. It has become our main home. We absolutely love it! I did the clicking for hours to get our home and we're thankful. We consider ourselves really lucky. The Lindens and Moles have done such an incredible job and have worked so very hard on this project for us. They are listening to their user base. They are doing the very best they can under the circumstances in light of the high demand of these new homes. Claiming Patch Linden's reputation has been ruined over this isn't right. He has been as consistent in the feedback he gives as he possibly can under the circumstances. Nothing is ever going to be perfect. There are always going to be people who are impatient. These are all givens. When people are doing their best all around, it is really impolite to call into question their reputation especially with no basis for the statement. I think the Lindens and Moles are doing their best. At least they are taking the time to create this community the right way instead of rushing it. i really hope everyone gets the home of their dreams. All the best. 😊
