  1. You are welcome! Honestly I don't know much about male skins -- Skell Dagger is one of the resident experts on those issues -- maybe he will chime in here! If you search through the forums for male mesh clothing and skins I am sure you will find other posts with ideas and recommendations as this topic comes us regularly. Hair though is another story! There are lots of great hair makers and many of them have group gifts too. For male hair try out Stealthic, Exile, Argrace, No Match, Tukinawaguma, Kokolores, Truth, or Lock and Tuft. Those designers have male hair styles or unisex styles that I sometimes wear -- many with a punkier look. As for tattoos, there are tons of them that will work for that body since it does support Omega appliers. I personally like Shinu-made and Letis and This is Wrong but there are literally thousands of tattoos out there that should work with that body. Check out the marketplace listings or wander around at events for ideas and shops that you like.
  2. Welcome to the world of meshiness! A couple of things to help get you started.... first you don't HAVE to buy a shape since bento heads which are made by a variety of designers all have shape sliders so you can edit your face's shape. BTW in case you don't know "bento" is the term for mesh body parts like heads and hands that have more bones that can be edited and animated more realistically. There are also static mesh heads that cannot be changed in shape, they are cheaper but much less customizable. That said, each different bento head starts out with a basic shape and can only be changed so much. So the best thing to do is grab a bunch of demos from bento head makers (here's a fairly current list though it is missing a few newer male heads. like the new Catwa Dude: http://meshbodyaddicts.com/mesh-head-reviews/bento-mesh-heads/) and play around with editing their shapes until you can find one that gives you the look you want. It takes time to demo but it is worth it to save frustration and lindens and also to figure out this bento mesh thing. Skins do also effect the look and many are either available for particular head brands, or as Omega skins (Omega is a "universal" applier brand that enables you to put the same skin on many heads of different brands). There are many demos to help you on this as well, though you may need to purchase the fairly cheap relays or installers for using Omega skins on some heads if you are demoing Omega skins. Also have a look at Strawberry Singh's blog since she does great video reviews of male and female mesh heads and mesh bodies as well. It's here: https://strawberrysingh.com/mesh-body-parts-in-second-life/ It's a complicated thing so take it slowly and good luck! Hair -- that's a whole other huge topic and there are many stores that might have a rockabilly look! Have fun!
  3. First time posing to this thread in a long time -- been too lazy to write up credits Black Friday scores... Hair, Foxy -- 50% off Dress, Canimal -- 50% off Boots, Wicca's Wardrob -- 25 $L gacha Tattoos, This is Wrong -- 20 $L gacha [Head and Body -- my same old GA.EG Barbara and Maitreya Lara] location, lost in space somewhere in Backdrop City.
  4. New Black Friday outfit -- and a quick trip to space to take a couple of photos wearing it.
  5. Still hanging around upstairs at the Baroqued Gothical event...
  6. As someone mentioned above the "artificial intelligence" here seems nothing more than an automated, randomized version of Madlibs. But still, I remain amazed at the variety of inspirational quotes this thing churns out. Yes, I spent far too much time clicking for the next one and the next and the nest in the last day or so. Here's some relevant to the ostensible topic of this here forum: Maybe a new LL ad campaign idea? One for various forum threads: And one that might describe various sims out there someplace on the grid...
  7. Lately when Mr. Random who is nowhere near me in a sim IMs with "Hi" and the the old "where are you from and how old are you?" I've been replying, "I am from Venus and am 637 of your Earth years old." That either leads to silence, "OK" followed by silence or, very rarely, an interesting conversation.
  8. Yay for sweater season! Raw shot, only cropped. Been playing with DIY spotlights -- here in one of the Weekend Ruiner sets. Daeberethwen Arbenlow has a great tutorial video showing how to make some simple spotlights. Video embedded below...
  9. You do have to admire the sheer range of this bot's wisdom at least...
  10. um, Flickr? Search for whatever you want and then choose "license" from the filters to limit your search to only those that allow for at least "reuse, modification and commercial use" (the last if you want to sell them). You will likely find loads of not very good images, but at least you can do what you want with them. Will the result be art? Maybe, maybe not.
