If you don´t remember, the UV Map places "points" to their corresponding location on the mesh. Eyes on eyes, legs on legs .... Without that, you could trial and error for yeaaars. And the mesh-avatar need mod permissions too, oc. Monti Ah yes, UV Maps, that's what they were called. I'll probably look for a mesh and then contact the creator before buying to see if they would help me out with that. For other things, like apendages that only need one solid color for them (I don't need anything fancy for them), would all I need be mod permissions to edit them?
  2. I'd like to preface this by saying if I have this in the wrong place, please move it for me. Alright, so I haven't done any of this yet, but I plan on buying a generic deer avatar for myself, and I'm hoping to reskin it to make it look like my OC. Is there a way to do this, and how would I upload the texture for it to apply it to my avatar? Is it possible to do when you didn't make the mesh yourself? I may be misusing terminology; I'm extremely rusty with 3D animation. And yes I know I could pay someone to do this for me, but I've made textures for a 3D model before years ago and it wasn't that challenging, so I figure I can save money and do it myself.
