Another test shot -- looking in a mirror.

(I have a sneaking suspicion my "test shots" may actually be better than my final ones, but if so, please don't tell me!)

The truth sometimes hurt, dear. What happens to be a test sometimes ends up as the final version :P

    Also y u so gorgeous?!

get photoshop or psp .. no need for a overkill machine nor a supermodel avi

I mentioned powerful machine because of BD, it renders textures differently compared to the other viewers and is able to achieve much higher resolutions which is why it's so suitable for high quality photos. That requires processing power to achieve it. There's no point of getting Photoshop or another editing program if you don't know how to use it.

Nothing in SL is realistic, unless you compare the avi's to full painted rl faces, that's pretty simular.

Nothing in SL is realistic for you. If you can't appreciate the effort in quality people put in, whether it's photography, building/designing or texturing that's on you. I am certain there are many forum users that can give examples but that's not the point of this thread.

It's frustrating though. I can make some very realistic pics with other programs, but not here. I will definitely watch that. Thank you!!!

Easy guide how to take high quality and realistic pics in SL:

Step 1: Get a powerful machine.
Step 2: Install Black Dragon viewer.
Step 3: Get familiar with the viewer's capabilities, settings and functionalities and experiment.
Step 4: Become familiar with camera angles and composition - rule of 2/3rds for example.
Step 5: Take 4k and above shots with DoF, shadows and stuff cranked up to high.
Step 6: Editing tutorials - adding depth, shadows/highlights, filters, layering and masking, texture enhancement event.
    Step 7: Practice, practice. practice!
Note: Blurring the f*** out of photos is NOT a good practice.
    Step 8: Repeat steps 3 through 7.

  4. My avatar and looks are augment reflection of my personality. I'm introverted and anti-social in RL with close circle of very good friends in my life. It's the same inworld. Maybe I'm not anti-social, or maybe I'm anti-bull*****, who knows...

Look at RL. People on their phones in restaurants, at birthday parties, in theme parks, in supermarkets, in theaters, in church, at school you name it. Everywhere, even at the toilet.

What are we suppose to do while doing our "job" read the description on the shampoos? :D
I know how it feels, for me it's very annoying and irritating when I go out with others and they stare at their phones. But in truth it's a habit most people developed and let's face it, mobile devices can be very addictive! In my case I always make remark to my friends if they stare at their phones too much and tell them to stop it and they almost always stop for the time being.

  5. Like every other Sunday, mine is typically dedicated to prepare for the week to come.

As I was strolling around the city on errands when my phone suddenly rang, interrupting the music playing in my ear, because that's what most phone notifications usually do. I didn't pay attention to it at first, thinking it's probably one of the group chats I'm in and continued on my stroll... Half and hour later just as I was about to enter the subway and catch a train home I decided to check my notifications since the reception is pretty bad down.
To my surprise it was notification from someone across the world, walking the streets at night and thinking of me. That put big smile on my face! <3

Thank you @Scylla Rhiadra and lots of hug from across the world!

I've had men try to pick me up on Twitter.

On Twitter, for God's sake, presided over by a guy currently in the running for Unsexiest Man of the Year.

No one needs to be told that there is sex online, anywhere. They already know.

Good thing I DON'T use tweeter. I get enough message and friend requests from random men on facebook already.
But I'm honestly not surprised about it, considering that Twitter is the only major social platform that allows hardcore porn on it.

I wouldn't say GW2 is a very sexual place because of that, though. Or WoW. Or TikTok. Or Reddit. Or *voice trails off for an hour*

Have you played WoW on Argent Dawn server and try the Goldshire experience? :D There are legends about it.
That place in terms of roleplay is more sexual than many of the adult sims you will find around the grid.

Whereas, we are all (to some degree) interested in food, fashion, architecture, history, cross cultural sharing. It's fun and we learn new things. Like a virtual vacation without the travel.

I think there's some confusion here that I am trying to discount women's achievements or that I do not know about them. I fully support International Women's day. It just isn't my idea of a fun event. Educational event, sure.

I don't mean to be offensive or anything, but how is food, fashion and fun activities are suppose to show support to us and all the women who have worked hard to make a change and break the stereotypes, bias and discrimination. In recent years the purpose of this day has been exactly that, to gain attention and visibility of all we had to go though to forge our equality in society.

The last thing I'd like as someone who works her bum off in my line of work would be to be shown appreciation with snacks.

How is a woman engineer being a woman engineer doing engineer things entertaining? Is it an achievement? Probably, it's a male dominated field and if she's good at it, good for her.  But if I'm not an engineer engaged in the same field as that woman engineer I would be.. meh.

Thanks to woman engineer who was also Hollywood actress we have wifi now. Or the woman who developed the software to land people on the Moon. There are many more if you are interested in searching and their achievements and contribution to society throughout history can be entertaining.

I'm getting a little bit bored of always featuring myself -- i.e., "Scylla" -- in pics, so I've been working on creating some alternates that I can use in photos, either with "me" or on their own.

    My latest effort. Ta da!

  11. The Lelutka Axis is the go to choice for facial expressions, whether it's for casual expressions or doing photos. There is not a single photographer that I know who doesn't use it.

As for Catwa, I've been using it since day one when I switched to mesh and have been happy ever since. They don't have some wide variety of default expressions or facial AO but they offer additional ones in their mainstore. They are easy to miss since they are not exactly in the front of the store.

If you still want to try them out, in the map(its also a teleporter) on thr landing point try going to the Addons area, I think they were put on display thete.
