This person gets very distressed when they are not taken seriously.  I think they are having some kind of delusional episode.

They need "No Drama" in their profile.

There is a certain person who has been posting in various groups chats .... have injected viruses into Firestorm & the LL viewer.

Reading his real life photo text: seems he has also complained to Mr Trump, Mr Trudeau, and Mr Xi. Not sure these gentlemen can help him.

It starts June 20th .. that's two and a half months away!

That's only 10 weeks! Patch would still be quite correct saying it's just weeks away.

Get it close, but it will not look the same to everyone. Mac and PC computers do not resolve the terrain exactly the same. There is at least a 3 meter difference in how the terrain textures layer comparing one machine to another.

The Perlin Noise function used to merge the tiles also shifts over time.

Mac, Linux, and Windows will all shift into different places over the course of a year.

There is a potential fix for the teleport disconnects that was rolled to all 3 RC servers today - BlueSteel, Magnum & LeTigre.
Is anyone still able to reproduce the teleport disconnects when TPing between two RC regions?

Just crashed between 2 RC regions - so I am not sure it's fixed.

  5. Might be the landscaping for the trailers park -- Dirt tracks, communal showers, half dead shrubs and wheel-less cars up on cinder blocks.

Patch (wearing dressing gown, ugg-boots and hair-curlers) just towed the trailers out for a short time as the moles did their magic.

  6. Catwa eyes can be quite squinty or end up a weird sideways S shape.

As Ethan says, brows on your hair lifts the outside corner. Brow shape will adjust the shape of the eye too. Then the anime/width will help make big adjustments + eye bags and upper eyelid fold also help un-squint them.

I suggest you get some unrigged mesh eyes from Avi Glam (by Kendra Parfort) or another aftermarket mesh eye maker so that you can also edit them up and down, this also helps you undo some of the other rigging issues of that brand as you make the eyes open up more.

  7. Mostly I will stand in world with blender or photoshop open and taking my concentration.

I will look at SL to upload a model, or texture. And during those times answer anyone who happened to IM me, and look at group chats. I've been known to reply hours later.

I don't use an away message, as those are so easily knocked off. One nudge of the mouse and away status is gone. Unavailable sticks, but that stops a few things I like to see. If away was sticky, I would use it with a nice message.

Edit: a lot, a real lot, of my friends sleep in world. Leave their avatar logged in 24x7 and go to sleep.

  8. One group of people will always lose out.So the question becomes which is the smaller of the two groups to lose out? In the case of pilots vs land owners, sadly it's going to be pilots making up the smaller group, substantially smaller in fact. As good and solid as the arguments are on the flying side, and they ARE good arguments, the unchangable fact is more people want to have ban lines and zero second orbs.

As logical the arguments are for pilots, and as illogical the arguments for land owners, there are only a few thousand or so of us vs hundreds of thousands of them.

It sucks, but it's the way of this world.

Flying is possible around the water areas, and it is quite possible to fly intercontinental if you avoid the middles of the continents - I have done it *many* times.

As for zero second orbs and ban lines - treat them like region crossing crashes - part of the challenge to fly intercontinentally! You are going to have at least one bad hand-off anyway. Make it a game, how few times you get unsat on that route, make the game of intercontinental flying finding the perfect route with zero unsits.

If you've ever played a real flight sim, 90% of it is route planning anyway.

I play a similar game sailing... how long I can keep a boat rezzed in world. I rez a boat at my dock and sail every day, each day goes towards beating the previous record. When I crash in a region crossing, a new boat and I start from zero again.

Oh, and cruising Blake Sea with LOD set to 2 shows who the crappy boat creators are really, REALLY fast LOL. But no naming and shaming, so I'll only say those boats are three to four times larger than most RL rural houses.

They way they break up is so bad!

There is a saying about the men that drive those huge boats. They are clearly compensating. The bigger the boat, the smaller the... ummmm prowess. Of course, these are also the ones who also expand the slider on their aeros to mega.

As for the women who drive those huge boats... well, there is another saying the larger the cup size, the more likely they are males behind the screen. So, same compensation!

The crashes are disconnects during teleports, if you now can explain me how client side graphics hardware can affect the connection I would be more than happy.

    Grabbing straws:

We know eep skies are now asset fetches. This comes from inventory.
While you teleport it's quite time sensative, we know this from animat's testing of his bikes
Maybe there is some asset related issue during teleport where the sky to load isn't available
    Result disconnect.

Not sure, but since I turned off skies, not a crash - so now to turn them on.....

  11. Those were the days:

OP, the hair drop off isn't quite the same as the body drop... it's likely just a redraw issue on your screen. Right click your head when it happens, the hair should come back - also, it's only on your screen, others will see you with the hair.

TP'ing has improved a lot over the years.

Can those of you who can easily reproduce the teleport disconnects try disabling sky rendering & see if that fixes the problem?
To disable sky rendering, activate the Advanced menu in the top menu bar with CTRL+ALT+D.

As I can readily reproduce this fail, yes, turning off the sky does seem to help - so far

    EEP fail, hey.

bring it to attention of moles or support and i'm pretty sure they'll fix that "soon"

No, they don't care. They never have, and they never will. Look at the 14 meter wide channel in the new SSP area and you see nothing changes.

This road and many more have been like this for 16 years. Countless complaints, all ignored.

Nothing will change, the Lab are useless as they fill our skies with black stars and plonk down yet another unfinished continent.

Ban lines never encroach on LL roads, Everyone's property is well back from the actual road surface.

If only that were true. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tethys/195/72/92 I've derendered the road for this photo so you can see.

It's now abandoned, but a previous owner had ban lines here. I lost count of the number of times they caught me.

There are quite a few of these in Prime Granite, and a few more in Snow.
