  1. This forum is the opposite of toxic, it can be passive aggressive at it’s worst. that’s about it. assaulting someone you don’t like with confused emojis and trying to derail the threads they start with cat pictures is pretty benign in the grand scheme of things. That’s the level we’re at here.
  2. Try: Call of Duty (circa 2010) League of Legends Grand Theft Auto V online The silly things people tend to do on Second Life are ignorable with a block/derender ,TP’ing away, or ban. There are places in Second Life where people try to do those types of things, but you really have to seek it out and want to participate.
  3. I just wanted to say, this work that you did on this house is amazing and including EEPs made me so happy! I don’t normally get excited for sales items, but it’s so easy to see you put a lot of work and care into this. It also makes me feel better knowing some creators are going to lean into this and make something great with it. I can’t thank you enough!
  4. I do and I will, but errr....probably should've said all that from the beginning https://gyazo.com/55a49ea5e890612f5f3384e07c2c9b97
  5. Yeah, you should've, but its ok I understand what you mean now. I wouldn't call them artifacts though, but yes it does look a little grainy, but its the same grainy whether its still or moving. Still not seeing artifacts when camming. When you say artifacts I'm thinking this: When what I'm seeing is more like this (though not as severe):
  6. That's the thing: I'm really not getting artifacts. I did a few gyazos and the capture is really degraded from what I'm actually seeing, but I'm not seeing them at all. At worst it looks like there should be some light sparkles on the water's surface that isn't quite refined, maybe (hopefully that's a work in progress) but I wouldn't call them artifacts. This is on high with shadow: sun+moon+projectors https://gyazo.com/e8b66b6e277a7e86430fbd2b5901b4de https://gyazo.com/b572670676a0e99e562407504232b57e https://gyazo.com/0dc45adc8cbc576872e45ba2cc4cefcc
  7. I think the most recent build fixed the artifacts on the water. At least the water settings I played with looked pretty good. Also I learned I have to kill just about every non essential background process like Spotify to keep my PC from sounding like 777 about to take off. Turning the settings down to like high and turning shadows off until needed helps with the stuttering too. Keep tweaking LL you’re getting somewhere!
  8. There was one at the most recent round of Cosmopolitan.
  9. I’m all for a PBR viewer. I’m excited for it. However, in its current state it runs like pure doo-doo. This is a fairly recent thing as it ran great up until a couple of builds ago. The point of this whole thing was viewed as an upgrade. So it shouldn’t be running worse than it did a year ago without PBR. I’ve found myself going back to Firestorm after not using it for a loooong time. Something is not right. It’s that simple.
  10. Part of that comes from a multitude of creators who never adjust their specular map currently. By default, it’s set to the specularity of a tub you’d buy in a hardware store. It’s probably one of those cases where you can skip specularity all together. One of my pet peeves is buying jeans that have that kind of shine on them.
  11. I think this brings up an interesting point. While this might alter a creator that uses Blender/Substance as part of their workflow, how will this affect a creator that uses templates and say Photoshop to retexture workflow? Typically, it’s more of a fit the texture onto the uvmap, slap the AO map that came with it on top, wrap it up and sell it. I still see them doing that.
  12. Yes. You could look at it like it will weed them out. But the fact that there are people using the PBR viewer, but turning it all the way down tells me it might not matter as much as I thought. The key is going to be making the features usable and fast on lower spec rigs. We’ll see though…
  13. Wait until you realize how many creators have no idea what PBR is, what it does and how close it is to release.
  14. I think the issue is: you shouldn’t need to do any of that. I get that it’s not optimized, that’s kind of to be expected. Hopefully it’ll be more optimized over time, but we shouldn’t be doing the ‘just turn all the new feature off and you’ll be fine’ thing.
  15. Ok, good! It's not just me. It's a little more 'skippy' right?
  16. I’ve been messing with it since LL made the gtlf viewer available. Loved it at first, not just for the reflections, everything just seemed to have more atmosphere. The last couple builds though……I don’t know what they did, but it suddenly turned into a resource hog. Yikes. I really hope they reign that part in. If not there are going to be some unhappy campers. Looks great! I’m really not having loading issues, my problem has been when I cam around I get a stutter. Not really happy about that.
  17. I agree with you 100% However, just to play devil’s advocate and to possibly stir the pot because this thread is super amusing to me for multiple reasons: Could it be possible that she is playing off of or mimicking people’s reactions to other bodies when they came out? Like….if you search the Kupra thread there were people that coming back to say how much they hated that body or Ebody thing where someone just couldn’t understand how stores were carrying Ebody when nobody was wearing it and made multiple threads about it or brought it up in totally unrelated threads. I know she’s not…but just as a thought experiment.
  18. I have to say, this is the most entertaining thread I’ve seen on these forums in a looong time.
  19. This really puts things into perspective, because the other thread is a hot mess. Thank you!
  20. I think the confusion comes from progress that has been made with AI. It has been with us for a while. Before you’d use AI to “Enhance” your picture. Really what it did was run your picture through a series of filters and voilà….you had an AI enhanced photo. Over the last couple years the advancement is really, that it’s doing its own thing. The better ones allow you to put how much it’ll actually alter your photo. The real magic is you can just type something, a few sentences and you’ll get a fully rendered drawing, painting or photo. I’m not a techie person, so I may not have explained it properly. I think the misunderstanding is that it’s supposed to enhance what you put in there as a reference. It’s really taking what you put in there and making something new. Personally, I enjoy playing around with it.
  21. Yes, I meant to put that in there for the first question too. Thanks!
  22. Imo, it’s not all that hard to find clothing for Gen X. I’d say 50-65% of the creators at most tier 1 events carry at least one of the GenX bodies. The numbers of creators seem to be increasing. I’ve seen a couple of people say something like ‘why are so many creators supporting a body nobody wears?’ So the truth is somewhere in between ‘I can’t find stuff for it’ and nobody’s wearing it.
