  1. But... I want a retro-futuristic space pod on top of a mountain with green grass, no hedges, no pink flowers, a waterfall on one side, an unobstructed 5-region-long western ocean view, and a zipline! So they're actually NOT making that for me??? Bummer.
  2. @Pussycat Catnap We're on a road to nowhere
  3. If the Covenant had said "only Linden orbs may be used here, one is provided for you" instead of trusting people to program their own private orbs, there would be a lot less of this happening.
  4. Has anyone seen this on MP? Someone's advertising their security orb as "Linden House Security" but it has a 10 second timer and kicks home. I was going to flag it on MP but there wasn't an appropriate reason in the menu. If he took the Linden Home wording out of his listing no one would care but keywords get hits so... https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Parcel-Security-Orb-v1-Linden-House-Security-Renter-Security/18697422
  5. Wonder if the other 5 mole-dwarves (Bashful, Dopey etc) are coming. Disney is encroaching!
  6. I sent this post to the owner. We made a rezz group for friends for our mainland and Belli homes, and when he got this we felt obligated to go with the Permaglow theme as a collaborative effort. It's on the Places of Interest NC in one of the groups, so feel free to stop by... there are some fun little things inside (a lab, office, and creatures with two heads, naturally.) http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Permaglow/123/51/33 Also these cute little critters:
  7. I mentioned this some time ago. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed!
  8. I'm going with the "If you can't say something nice" route regarding that self-made addition. I'm sure the owner thinks it's beautiful. 😶 I'll play devil's advocate for the palm trees at the houseboat though. Many coastal areas in the US have what's called "maritime forest." It is exactly that... woods with hardwood trees and pines and wildlife and such, that open onto beaches with palms and seagrass and your usual beachy things. Not saying I'd *like* to live next door... I prefer to keep in theme with the surroundings also, and that would annoy me... just mentioning that such things do exist.
  9. Wow... first time in over a week the Land Page is sold out of Trads. Seems like forever ago that little blue house set off a clicking frenzy...
  10. I love my new backyard. To the right of the photo is a rocky hill, atop which sits the Red Hook train station. Yay!
  11. A group of us went out train-testing to see which was best at region crossings with max capacity (in this case, 5, 8, and 13 avatars.) All went well until the Banebury switch, where the trains/trams lost target and drifted a bit before reconnecting. A couple days ago this spot was open (greenlight) and we were able to go all the way to the new rail station being built in SSPE359, where we were flipped and sent back. The re-entry in 373 is brutal and kicked us all into orbit (with a few viewer freeze-ups requiring a forced logout) on two occasions. I understand the SSPE regions are a work in progress and anything beyond the "construction area" sign is completely our own risk. But that Banebury switch should probably be checked out. We orbited there too, although we were able to recover (mostly.)
  12. Lucille, you got *my* ideal Victorian! 😄 And someone gave that up! Congratulations indeed.
  13. You live next to me... come do mine when you get restless! 🤣
  14. Just to chime in on abandons here.. the best two homes I've gotten were both abandoned. I kept one for several months before hopping for a Vic, caught an abandon on 2nd try, and plan to keep that for a while. In both cases I thought wow, who would let this go??? Marianne is correct that most people aren't going to pay $$$ to keep an alt army running.
  15. These have been up for a day or two, possibly longer, but I didn't notice them until recently. Thanks for posting the screencap! Can't wait to see what they do with it.
  16. Continuity My fear is of Bellisseria getting mainlanded. I hope once the Moles and Lindens have directed their attention to other projects that Belli will still have active covenant enforcement, as well a presence such as we've had with them interacting with us in groups and at events. I hope the community feeling persists, that the next wave of new Bellizens joins in, and that my neighbor doesn't put 20 horses and a particle poofer in his front yard, amen. "Mainlanded" is a verb now. I said so.
  17. Pyri now has a west coast. Not sure when it happened, but I like the water buffer there between the boat regions.
  18. I was calling it BellSouth, but AT&T owns that. 😉 I have seen VictoriBell, VickyBell, Bellitoria, New South Belli, and a few others. Rather like VictoriBell myself.
  19. Picasso? Maybe Zaha Hadid or Grasso? (I know what you meant, but I had to go look at pretty pictures anyway) Here's one from Greaves:
  20. I see the first connecting region between Belli and VictoriBell, as yet unnamed.
  21. Here in Pennsylvania (NE USA) "Victorian styles" are everywhere. In towns, they're often rowhomes, similar to those in San Francisco. There are plenty of freestanding ones though, such as this one in Williamsport. The ones here are brick (often painted) or wood, many with gingerbread details. I know of one painted plum purple and another done in shades of pea green and mustard. (Image search Millionaire's Row for some high-end examples.)
  22. I'm in my third home. The first one was lacking any roads or even paths, though it had a great waterside location with a view of a lighthouse. The second one was hit by a Molequake and sunk (and subsequently fixed) - it was a fun spot, but I left it to try for a green canal region. The third was the opposite of what I wanted - flat sandy beach - but it has that "feeling" about it the others lacked, so I still have it some months later. Still not sure if I can give it up for a Vicky. I might have to drag an alt out of retirement.
  23. I saw that conversation too. "Days" I think was said, but it may have been a week.
  24. Do the directional arrows here look backward to anyone else?
