I finally got some time to work on my treehouse.  Yay for weekends off work!  I really wanted the feel of being in a tree and not just a house on top of a tree.  I raided the log home content pack for the vines and tinted them a little blue to match the surrounding vegetation. It's not perfect, but it doesn't block the glow of the house at night and it does look like the house is inside the branches.  It's a warm little home in the sky now. I am still moving things around and I decided I would rather have a bathroom in the loft than a bedroom.  (I'll sleep on the couch if it means I can pretend soak in a bubblebath.)

I took this one the other day through the window while I was still moving furniture around.

I can throw a rock and hit Nando's boat from mine, but I only do that when he's not home.  I haven't changed it much in well over a year, but it's still one of my favorite builds.

I don't think the inside is lacking even with my focusing mostly on the garden. I did omit an actual bedroom since the futon in the living area serves the purpose nicely. What I really wanted was a cozy dressing area with a powder room. nb1_009.thumb.jpg.a5000e1d7a553421282421035c43a71b.jpg

I love the open space between the dining area and the living room. It is the perfect spot for my desk and art supplies. Plus it's a nice area for dancing when the mood hits.

With careful planning and linking, you'd be surprised how much you can do with just 351 prims! Here's the slurl to my (Debi's) home if anyone would like to visit. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sugureta Gohan/174/145/32

i loooove your rug by the furry chair. may i ask where its from?

I recently decided to redo my beach house, something I do every 3-4 months out of boredom .... I wish I could do that in RL too :)

The shoreline is sandy but not tropical, although there are palm trees here and there plus some forgotten snowy trees that seem to persist all the season changes.....  This time I decided to go green... very green, which I always find very relaxing.

Here's an example of the impact a little editing can have...

This is the EVH Balam waterfall on sale this weekend.

    slpix_004_278.thumb.png.6a954d5a90008b44a62b057340004490.png

The original on the right is 40LI. I've just taken off the flowers and the parrot (pretty but 4LI on its own), and duplicated the shrub grass which is one LI each. The one on the left is 22LI. Now, I'm not saying that I wouldn't change anything on the left - I might have another sort of shrub in my inventory that was more attractive, but that is a significant LI difference for less than 5 minutes of editing at a sandbox.

may i ask what sale this is...i've been looking and havent run across it yet

I've decided to try P+ for 6 months (the account I've used expires in December); by the end of the year, I'll set it back to regular Premium.

In general, the features are nice but not for me, apart from the possibility of chosing a specific LH. Whitney Linden was kind enough to set one up for me on a Saturday, just a few hours after opening the ticket.

I was all frustrated because I couldn't get a nice Sakura home, and I lost the only nice one I got; now I've got it, so to me, it's been worthy.

My question is, is there any limit on the number of LH one can request? I've read all the FAQs and posts, but I couldn't find anything about it.

    Thank you

not sure but i think as long as you do not have a LH home at time of request it is ok to request numerous times. But am going to watch for other responses in case i am totally wrong.

''Becomes a problem'' in this case is if anyone is seen to be abusing the system, the Lindens at anytime under discretion will then halt said system, thereby making people who shelled out several hundred dollars for the new shiny thing angry as well.   Hence they are now selling a product that is now having caveats added to it less than 36 hours after the purchase.  Therefore anyone reading this you've now been warned ''buyer beware.''

Speaking of exploits they should take the time to fix the known exploit that exists on the website land page where you can pass houses back and forth between people if you know how to do it.  Time to report that bug to the JIRA as well since no one seems to have ever bothered.  That particular loophole should be fixed as well therefore making all roads to Linden Home acquisition fair and happy.

how do you know about this? that this happens? have you ever done it yourself

    • Haha 4
  10. I have been wanting to get a fantasy for a couple weeks now, and stalking the land page diligently but none are to be found. I know tons are linden homes , been there and seen em. I have been to abandoned ones in older sims, so what gives lol.

Continuing toward the living space is the bathroom/kitchen build out. I really wanted a traditional Japanese bath. bath2.thumb.png.17d167e45686bacfaa0f2f8159c3254c.png

The newly constructed bathroom wall provided the perfect spot for my small but functional kitchen space.

Access to the backyard is only steps away.

It's because of Marianne's tutorial on making interior wallpaper shells that I was able to then extrapolate and make even more neat stuff like a back deck, pergola, chimney, and shutters.  I haven't made mesh things before and I know I'm late to the party with it but ...  thanks to tutorials like this one I got a massive confidence boost and made my Continental look more and more how I want it to.  Thank you @Marianne Little very much!

Obviously so far there are campers but hopefully "soon" there will be moderns, (did I get that right? - there were 512 options?), and perhaps more 512 themes, well we can hope!!
